Korean Junkie 6 Pieces of Crispy Fried Chicken Wing
    Kennedy S.

I have no complaints for this chicken. It's served hot and fresh! It's honestly my go. I get Korean junkie wings. I could go without fries or maybe add a seasoning on top. The service is good they make sure my order is correct every-time, and I truly enjoy the interior of the market. It's like transportation to a different world

This place has excellent fried chicken. It's crispy and crunchy on the side and when you bite down, you get delicious tender & juicy meet on the inside. Good flavor and the wings are pretty big too. The food comes out pretty fast considering they make it on the spot.

Chicken is cooked perfectly crispy and served hot and fresh. Wanted to try the crsipy option but wasn't prepared for it to not even have salt/pepper or any seasoning or flavor at all. The crunch made it worth it, but could use some flavor. The korean junkie flavor was good though so balanced out my meal. Be warned, the prices are kinda high for fried chicken wings. And you have to order kind of a lot to get more than one flavor. To mix 2 flavors, minimum or is 15 wings and the price is $22.99 plus tax.just chicken wings, no sides. The sides/fries are priced high too. That's crazy to me! But I went for it because I had driven here to try it. All in all, decent, but the price will make sure I don't come regularly. Oh also, It is a food court so expect to dine in a common area. I took my order to go and it was packaged well. Was a fairly long wait, about 30 mins on a Sunday afternoon

We got honey butter and Korean spicy flavors with snow cheese fries. The chicken was perfectly fried, so crunchy. And the sauces were great. And I have no idea what snow cheese is but it was so yummy on the fries. I love shoestring fries and they were so crunchy, just the way I like them. The only thing is I wish the honey butter was covered more evenly.

This is my go-to Korean fried chicken restaurant! The fried chicken is always crispy and well seasoned. I usually order it as take-out, and sometimes, it may take longer to make depending on what time and day you order. It's located in the first floor food court area in the Zion Market.

Yum Yum Yum! Will definitely have to come back to try their other flavors. When we placed the order, we didn't realize it was in the Zion Market at the mall. So heads up on that. But it was pretty easy to find the food court. We ordered the spicy Korean sauce and an order of fries and I really enjoyed it. Do yourself a favor and just eat the meal there while it's pipping hot and crunchy! I kinda wished they had the pickled radish and some rice, but other than that it was delicious and I can't wait to come back and try their double garlic!

Besides the fact it took forever to find this place the food was extremely tasty! Highly recommend the wings with Korean Junkie sauce, 9/10. The way they fried the wings made them extremely crunchy and filling, plus the food came out fresh and hot! *Go through the back entrance of Zion Market to find this place a bit quicker than I did!

One of my favorite spot of Korean fried chicken ! Went last week and the chicken and fries were nice and crispy. Went again today , food was still great but not as crispy like the week prior. Flavor is 10/10. We got the Korean spicy bbq and soy honey First time trying seasonings on the fries. We had the honey butter and garlic Parmesan. 10/10 !

My husband and I come here more than we go to Wingstop now! It's some of the tastiest, crunchiest wings I've ever had. The flavor is amazing! Very kind staff as well and you get served in decent timing. Of course weekends are always a little busier but we definitely reccomend 100%!

Mild sweet chili wings were delicious.

Surprisingly located in a food court. One of the best chicken I've ever had. Even though you leave it out for hours or next day it will still be as good. Never disappointed my satisfaction for some delicious chicken. My favorite was the spiciest one here.

Californian from SF here, so take this with a pinch of salt, as I would suggest with the eel soup…read more Along with that soup(L21), our party of three and a half (sleeping baby) ordered a small bossam(A1) and the dak-ghalbi/spicy chicken(L11). If you are suffering from gout/high uric acid, I'd recommend AGAINST you ordering the spicy chicken. Out came a salad, classic Napa cabbage kimchi, radish kimchi, and individual portions of three sauces. Gochujang, bean paste with jalapeno and onion, and a sweetened soy with pickled cukes. Of note is the Napa cabbage kimchi, fresh rather than aged, akin to Kunjip (for those of you from the Bay Area) rather than other typical Korean eateries. The fish sauce used gave a background note reminiscent of salted fish/鹹魚 if you're Cantonese, a first for me. Then came the three dishes. The small bossam came with squid, spicy dried radish (different from the earlier kimchi which had the crisp of a pear. This has a different crunch.), a lightly dressed scallion salad, and of course, boiled pork belly. Sorry, no oysters. The staff suggest eating the squid with gochujang. Pork belly unctuous and very soft. Entire dish was solid. The eel soup is a first for me. Never seen before. The white soup was thick like sollongtong, loaded, but rather bland. The unseasoned eel gave the broth a light freshwater fish flavor that will not be for everyone, but the meat was much improved with the sweetened soy. Other ingredients used include scallions, enoki mushrooms, and of note, perilla leaves, which gave a strong flavor between mint and epazote when encountered. The soup overall did feel bland so we added salt as if this was sollongtong, and the taste did improve a lot. Last dish: dak-ghalbi/spicy chicken. Normally the most mundane of the 3, I'm writing because of this dish. When we say spicy, I mean this dish will slowly leave a small fissure in the center of your tongue, though you will be able to taste everything else. The marinate had a mushroom flavor that I haven't had on this side of the Pacific Ocean, and worked well with the heat. Present again was the perilla leaf whose flavor stood up well, just a touch, neither neutered by nor overpowering the heat. Japchae noodles were present as well, showing an addictively toothsome side that I didn't know japchae had. Call me impressed. There was one struggle I had coming here though... I'm used to seeing Latinized Korean on the menu; here there is straight up Hangul, and and English description of the dish... Took me a while to go through the menu. Never realized how much I relied on this feature, or how naked I felt without it... But yeah. Dallas ain't no slouch when it comes to Korean food.

Food: The Boiled Pork Wraps was decent. Being from California, I've usually had Bossam with napa…read morecabbage, radish kimchi, and garlic + jalapeño; however, this came with radish kimchi, a green onion + beansprout medley, and squid, which slightly differed than what was pictured on the menu. Wasn't a big fan of the sauce it came with--it was a bit sweet for my liking. The Dried Cabbage Soup was also another item that didn't match the menu, and unfortunately so--in lieu of ribs, we were served (a relatively small portion of) brisket. Overall, the soup lacked depth and it was heavy on the veggies. Lastly, the Kimchi Dumplings were probably my fave. They came out steaming hot from the kitchen, and they had a nice flavor that wasn't overpowered by the kimchi or its tartness. Service: We were waited on by two people--a man and a woman. The woman seemed to be well versed in the menu and offered her suggestions, which we took her up on. The man, who I'm assuming is the owner, was nice enough to explain how to enjoy the Boiled Pork Wrap. Came on a busy Thursday evening, but food came out pretty quickly. Ambiance: Casual, modern, traditional. Parking: Ample parking. Located in a plaza.

You won't feel ignored, but you also won't be on a first-name basis with your server by the end of the night. Ambiance is simple and casual. Before the main event, we got the seafood & green onion pancake. Crispy on the outside and reasonably chewy interior. Good amount of seafood; in particular, the oyster stood out. It was also a nice portion that was ideal for sharing. I opted for the seafood soondubu. Everything, from the banchan to the specific side dishes served with the soondubu, came out not too long after ordering. I got it at spice level three which I thought offered the right amount of kick without being too overwhelming (I also like to think I have a pretty strong spice tolerance). It had a good variety of seafood; namely, the shrimp and oyster. I'm not the biggest fan of clams but they were definitely still tasty. The tofu was soft and silky. The yellow croaker and rice were great supplements to the dish. The rice perfectly absorbed the broth. The croaker added a nice crunchy break from everything. The banchan was pretty standard in my opinion - still, a great complement to the soondubu. Last but not least - service was attentive and quick. I will definitely be coming back at some point!

The restaurant had plenty of space, but service was still super fast and efficient anyway, which I loved. What I love about Chodang is that the food is stellar and such good PORTIONS. Knowing this, I still opted to order a Combo Special because the thought of having leftovers for the next day sounded great to me. I ordered the Kimchi Tofu Soup with Beef Bulgogi, and it was delicious. I usually order my soups at the Spicy level, which I would say has a kick and flavor but never leaves me panting for air or water. As someone who likes spice, I wouldn't say it's very spicy, but definitely flavorful. Beef Bulgogi is one of my favorite dishes, and this place's version does not disappoint. The meat is tender and has a good balance of sweet and salty. My friends also ordered Combo Specials with a Tofu soup and the Korean bbq ribs, and Spicy Pork Bulgogi. One of these friends opted for the medium spice level, which I would say is a safe choice for everyone, especially if you're worried about something being too spicy. All soups come with Korean side dishes, a whole grilled yellow croaker fish (delicious but lots of bones), and a hot stone bowl of rice. Nothing missed!
