I was slightly disappointed, but we decided on the gold tier. Service was alright. We ordered our food and waited for it to arrive. Our server did not stop by to clear dirty plates until we were about to pay our bill. Skewers and hot pot did taste good for what was available. There was enough variety to keep things interesting. Lastly, I enjoyed not having to cook my food. There were plenty of parking spots available during the weekday lunch hours. Overall, I prefer the Burnaby location more.

From vegetable, I love baked eggplant. And we could get hot pot and I chose the collagen broth which was excellent. From small buffet section, I got marinated clam which was very good. And crispy chicken skin was delicious, too. However, Fried rice was terrible. I don't usually comment too negtive, however, fried rice was one of the worst dish. Overall, we enjoyed food and drink. We went there for the all you can eat hotpot, which was $43.99 per person for dinner. They were pretty busy on a Friday night, although we were able to get a table because some reservation didn't show up. Medium sized interior with mostly booth seating, and the entrance is narrower and expands to the back. It's a personal hotpot so each person gets their own stove and order their own soup base. Ordering is done via a tablet. They also have cooked dishes like skewers, fried mantou and other things on the menu in addition to the hotpot ingredients. Some of the items cost extra and are labeled with the cost. In the center, they have the sauce bar, desserts bar of mostly Chinese jellos and also an ingredients bar with things like spam and quail eggs. I got the satay broth and it was decent. Ingredients are served reasonably quickly. The quality of the meat is decent. The milk-marinated beef is actually soft, and the usual sliced ribeye, lamb shoulder and pork belly are fine. The cooked dishes are decent as well, as we tried their pork trotters, fried mussels, and lamb skewers. The selection for hotpot ingredient is as you'd expect for an AYCE place, but the cooked food selection is a bonus. Definitely stuffed myself and was a satisfying meal on a cold winter day. Not the cheapest meal, but not a solid value.

I'm so glad i randomly chose to have dinner on christmas day here, i literally made resos the night before and it was such a breeze! The new icecream flavour is watermelon it was so delicious too also complimentary with all you can eat and don't forget to get the token for free cotton candy!! I rarely eat at all you can eat hot pot places…read morein general. -came on a weekday early afternoon with my friends. -happy lamb had a $19.99 happy hour all you can eat lunch special so we decided to try it out. -We selected the mushroom broth for our hot pot broth. Not a big fan of it. Tastes pretty plain in my opinion. Not bland by any means but it was just ok in terms of taste. -The meat was fine. It wasn't fatty. It tasted like any sliced hot pot meat you can get anywhere. There were lamb, beef, pork, and luncheon meat slices available for this menu. There was a small selection of seafood available as well. I didn't really like the cod paste siu mai. The texture was rubbery and the flavor wasn't that great. The fish tofu, fish roll, and fish balls were fine. They tasted like any other fish balls you can get anywhere. There was also a small selection of vegetables available. The Napa cabbage leaves and winter melon slices were fresh and big. No complaints on the vegetables. The sauce station was vast and everything you could possibly want was there. There were no lines and the station was clean. Some places like Big Way Hot Pot provide simple sauce recipes for beginners, but there were no suggestions here. It would be nice if they added some suggestions because i'm a newbie when it comes to sauce combinations. A very small selection of hot small plate appetizers were available too. They served as appetizers for the hot pot or something more solid in case you want a break from just eating hot pot foods. I wish there was a bigger selection though. For the appetizer buffet area, there were lamb bones with meat in some type of brown and red sauce, the classic vegetable spring rolls with sweet chili sauce, and deep fried mantou, which is basically a kind of crispy fried dough bread with condensed milk. They had a few cold vegetable appetizers like chinese Kelp salad which was slightly spicy, and wood ear mushrooms which were slightly sour. I didn't like either of them. Also, i noticed from past yelp reviews that customers were offered free ice cream. We were not offered any. I guess they discontinued that bonus. As for the service, I don't really have any problems with the service here. The staff were pretty good at refilling the water jug with sliced lemon even though it wasn't really empty. We didn't have to wait long at all for our hot pot ingredients. It all arrived within 10-15 minutes. One little hiccup was that we ordered udon but the staff gave us thin ramen noodles by mistake. Our server changed it to the correct udon noodles after we pointed it out. As for the place itself, it was pretty empty with a couple of solo eaters and a couple tables with families. The dining area was clean and roomy. We were seated at a booth by the window but the blinds were closed since the sunlight was too bright. Washrooms were tucked away far in the corner so it was a bit of a walk but they were clean, not too small, and empty. Overall i would give the food 3 out of 5 because nothing stood out to me. The food was just average all around. The service was fine, but the price was great at $20. In fact, I think $20 per person is by far the cheapest, best value all you can eat hot pot deal in the Vancouver area. So i'll give Happy Lamb Burnaby 4 out of 5 yelp stars overall because its a good value. This is the best bang-for-your-buck AYCE hot pot deal as long as you're okay with their average food quality.

Tables were quite tightly packed.  No fancy interior design or decorations at all. Instead they focus on the quality of their ingredients.  Their beef and 'home made balls' were definitely one of the better ones.  Even the veggies were very good. The cooked food,  particularly deep fried chicken wings were incredible. Quality similar to those of 'wo fungs'  The only gripe I have about this place was that not only the base price for all you can eat was somewhat high. 38 or 45bucks (choice of regular and deluxe menu),  many other items were considered extras.  Like sauces, fish tofu, oyster. Pop and drinks were $3 each, while most places ayce place just charge you one set fee for unlimited refills. (Since you naturally eat less when you drink more). You have to order the beef and lamb separately with the wait staff. This is much better than trying to have the kitchen staff guess how much of each item you want and getting it wrong. The sauces are also available. There are alot of choices, including sesame paste, fermented tofu, sesame oil, soy sauce, vinegar, garlic, salt, sugar, green onions, and coriander. The interior of the restaurant is not as nice as the Burnaby location and overall feels less luxurious. The bathrooms were kind of sketchy. The female one had three stalls, one with a broken lock, one that was totally out of order, and a third one that was somewhat functional but had no handle to open the door from the outside.
