What a crazy experience! I'd like to start by saying that, in the end, the food was very good. Not for $15 for a soup and medium sandwich, but that's corporate for you. Still, very good. My coworker and I ordered online and it said 30 minutes. We waited over 25, left work, got lost, and finally arrived about 40 mins after ordering and paying online. We were told "just a few minutes!" Strange... especially since it wasn't very crowded and there was no line. We sat and waited. There were five visible workers behind the counter. 5-7 mins in, I watched a young lady get STARTED on our order! (Two medium paninis and two cups of soup.) We left about 13-15 mins after arriving. We paid just over $30 for all of this hassle. And for the icing on the cake, my coworker's panini was DRENCHED in mayo, multiple layers of it, on every ingredient, after requesting none. In writing. Finally got a chance to get back here since the Yelp Elite event that brought me here in the first place! I got the BBQ chicken panini and it was just as delicious as I remember! I love that everything is fresh and they make it right there in front of you. I also got to talking to the girl making my panini and she was absolutely lovely! The staff greeted me when I came in the door and they were all friendly and nice. Sadly I didn't think to get any of their names, but the crew that was on last night around 8:30pm rocks! My only con about Hot Table is that there isn't one closer to where I live. I will definitely be back again when I'm in the area! Love this place. read more

Ordered via Uber Eats and scheduled a delivery for 6:45 - 7:15. Food arrived promptly at 6:45....and was ice cold with congealed cheese - the restaurant is approximately 6 minutes from my house. After reheating my husband stated his tuna panini was quite good. I had ordered the Caprese which was soaked with so much balsamic vinegar it was soggy and completely inedible. I ended up throwing it away. When I called to complain about the cold food, the employee simply stated "Well you ordered it through Uber Eats". Not a satisfactory response for sure. I asked to speak to a manager and was told one wasn't available, they took my number and no one called. It was my first and last experience with Hot Table for sure. read more

Food was great as always but I became highly annoyed with an employee. The employee made it a point to tell customer standing 5 ft away that she needed to be 6 ft away twice yet he walked thru the whole store with no mask on what so ever. I felt that customer behind me was far enough away. If he wanted to nit-pick then he should made sure he was leading by example first. Oh my gosh, this is my favorite place ...as well as that of my entire family. The customer service is fantastic and the food is delicious. Every time we have gone to this restaurant we get exactly what we want and it's always fresh and scrumptious. One afternoon, while traveling home from a vacation, we actually drove an hour out of our way just so that we could have lunch at Hot Table. You have to visit! I have been here twice now and plan on going back. They offer several different sizes of sandwiches which is great since if you just want a nibble you can get a nibble and if your really hungry you can go big and chow down. This place is a breath of fresh air from the other ho hum sandwich joints. I mean really how can you go wrong with a nice toasty sandwich to warm you up. I have had the Swiss Steak Mushroom Melt on Ciabatta Bread each time because it was so tasty. I did take off the A-1 and put the Pesto Mayo on instead and added some Spinach & Tomatoes. Boy oh boy was it tasty....I'm starting to crave another one right now as I am writing this review. They also have Salads and Soups and if you want a Wrap they can do that too. The Staff was very friendly and put my sandwich together quickly and neatly. I've been wanting to check out this new location since it opened, and I finally had the chance today. For those not familiar with the area, it's located right next to the Griswold Center Bertucci's in a wonderfully renovated new space. From what I can gather, Hot Table is essentially a panini version of Subway with slightly higher quality ingredients, and a more upscale feel. You order one of their signature panini offerings and then you instruct them on what toppings / condiments you want as you move down the line. Pretty damn simple concept, and quite frankly, I'm surprised there aren't more places like this out there. Definitely enjoyed my 'pepper steak' today, and I'm looking forward to trying other offerings. That being said, I do have a couple small gripes.... 1) compared to other similar establishments (ie: sandwich shops) it's EXPENSIVE. A medium panini, with nothing else, will run you a little over $9. If you're a fatty like me, this will be barely enough to tide you over till dinner 2) for a 'subway style' establishment, I found the service pretty slow. I came in late, and there were only a couple people in line ahead of me, but it still took about 12 minutes to get back out the door. That may not seem like a lot, but it IS when you're just standing there twiddling your thumbs. I'm optimistic this could just be a 'growing pains' issue though, so I will re-evaluate in the future. Surprisingly delicious and fresh tasting panini sandwiches, and really yummy soups. The ingredients they add to your sandwich are fresh and clean and a great tasting addition to the meal. The establishment is also quite clean, as are their restrooms, and the staff are upbeat and friendly...all signs of a well managed place. I am glad we decided to stop in today and check it out. This place has been about a couple months now and I was here on the second day they opened a several times since. Go on Tuesday if you want your loyalty card punched twice as its Double Punch Tuesday. Overall its pretty good. They have suggested panini sandwiches but you can really pick from whatever meat you want and a variety of generally fresh ingredients. For reasons that no one can understand it seems that virtually all their suggestions include salami. Even the employees said that salami was the item most people wanted removed. I have been going with the buffalo chicken. But avoid the lettuce because when they heat the panini the lettuce gets all wilty. Really the lettuce should go on AFTER the panini goes though the heat. Anyway its pretty decent. Interestingly they also have coffee and breakfast items. I have not tried any of them but the muffins looked pretty good. Its kind of expensive. A medium panini and a drink will cost you more than $10 and you might still be hungry, as I was today. It can be kind of slow. Partly it just seems to take time to put the paninis together and then its got to go on the panini thingie to heat it up. All this takes time even if its not crowded. Also its worth noting that the ownership is very religious and therefore the place is not open on Sundays. Doesn't bother me since I normally go for lunch from work but it could be irksome if you were expecting it to be open. Overall my coworkers and I generally like the place. It feels more upscale than your average sandwich place and the ingredients are definitely fresher than Subway. That comes at a price but I keep coming back so I guess I'm saying its worth it. read more

Hot Table is an awesome sandwich shop, where you can build the sandwich of your dreams. They offer an extensive menu of sandwich choices (several vegetarian options), all of which you can order straight, or make some freestyle changes to, depending on your mood that day. I ordered the caprese panini on ciabatta bread, and added sautéed mushrooms to it. The whole sandwich was absolutely amazing with the balsamic drizzle, and the cup of tomato veggies soup was perfect with it. The staff was also incredibly helpful and friendly, explaining all of our choices to us and offering their own suggestions, which was definitely appreciated. since one of my favorite sandwich shops faded to memory in the local area I was eagerly awaiting a sandy shop to take it's place. needless to say when I saw a panini place opening up I was very interested to give them a shot. overall, not bad but not wowed either. I ordered the mushroom swiss steak panini, which has sauteed mushrooms, swiss cheese, shaved ribeye, a1 sauce, and on the largest roll they had which is about the size of a small dinner plate. their medium I would say is a salad plate and the small is a hamburger bun, roughly of course. the quality is pretty good, but not phenomenal. everything is pre-made and would even go as far to say purchased then assembled right there in front of you. the panini presses take a little while to get the right crunch and with only two machines they do have difficulty meeting demands of a busy lunch crowd. that and the crew are still learning the ropes so it takes some time to get food. Price-wise, it's kinda bad. large is 10 bucks and, although a good portion, doesn't match the quality compared to the other food spots in the area. I can find cheaper higher-quality food (five guys) or slightly more expensive awesome food (plan b) heck can even find a ton of cheaper, slightly lower quality foods too (most the fast food joints or even subway in the same plaza). So I am not sure what niche this place is suppose to fill but I don't think it's filling it. Given the area, a bunch of offices with a bunch of higher wage earners, this panini shops caters to that crowd well. however for the foodies I would have to say that there isn't enough going on here to warrant an extended trip. worth a try if you are in the area, but no sandwhich mecca here. read more

I've been twice now & really enjoyed both sandwiches. Hubby is a fan of the buffalo chicken. I've tried the Italian cold cut & the chicken Cuban and been very pleased with both. I could see that this might not be the place if you were short on time and going during breakfast/lunch/dinner rush time. We had nobody in front of us & had to wait about 5 minutes for our sandwiches - not sure how long the 10 people after us had to wait. They've got plenty of items to put on the paninis, both veggie and meat, so I'm confident that the pickiest eater could find something. They also have about 6 soups of the day to choose from. Each time we've been there it's been super clean and the staff has been friendly, and those are big pluses to me. It is pricey for sandwiches, but they are really good and so much better than any other chain sandwich shop. We were a party of 3, each having a Panini, chips & drink and the bill was around $30. read more

First time here, and was totally blown away. I stopped by on a whim and what a delight. It's as if Subway and Panera had a baby. The shop is nice and clean and the staff is really friendly, and not like fake friendly because they have to be. It was really busy but the staff kept their cool and the manager / owner was even helping out. You could tell that he truly enjoyed being involved and wasn't doing it just to save face. I got the Swiss Steak Mushroom Melt, which was awesome. I'm a sucker for crispy onions. They had no problems with swapping out the cheese for me and it was wicked hot when I picked it up. I 've given Hot Table four stars based on the fact I like their panini's, But for some funky reason, they have forgotten the salami on my wife's Italian combo on two separate occasions. Skipping the salami would make it a ham sandwich. Twice! Different sandwich makers too! Maybe its a sandwich makers initiation rite. " First thing you must do is sell the customer a ham sandwich instead of an Italian combo. But do not let them see you neglect to place the salami, they must discover it upon returning to their home!" But they are experts at not giving you a hint of this deception.. The crew is friendly and polite and look like they know what they are doing. Yah....they know EXACTLY what they are doing. This is the first stage of moving up the corporate ladder. Its very open and welcoming. The atmosphere is relaxing and inviting. Its a place where you don't have to feel rushed while eating. I ordered the Sundried Tomato Veggie and added Steak. I know I know it defeats the purpose of a vegetarian sandwich, but I had to have meat. Although I do love veggies especially on a sandwich. The workers were very friendly and kept the place clean. This would probably be my favorite sandwich shop so far. They are made freshly right In front of you and your building your own sandwich so they cannot go wrong. You get to choose small / medium / large buns and then you get your proteins with a huge choice of veggies. I loved their pesto mayo and chipotle sauces. I did half bun with pesto mayo n other half with chipotle. Added tofu n a variety of veggies. You pay according to the size of the bun and not for What's in your sandwich. They also have a variety of sandwiches on the menu but I personally love build your own one! It's worth every penny for the sandwich. They also have soups n salads. read more

They have great ingredients and the gluten-free rolls are delicious (extra large Gillian's). They really take care to make sure there is no cross-contamination if you have an allergy to gluten, which means the outside of your panini won't be as crispy. But, the inside is always delicious. The sandwiches weren't bad, but not extraordinary either. Good place for a quick bite to eat. You can order from the menu or make your own panini. This place is similar to subway but for grilled sandwiches. There were a lot of drinks to choose from as well, including cucumber lemon water and different lemonade flavors that are not from the fountain. You can either eat in or grab take out. I came here for my lunch break and ordered the chicken pesto panini and it was good. One cool thing about this place is that you can choose what size sandwich you want. This place has 3 different roll sizes which is nice when you want something smaller or a big sandwich depending on how hungry you are. The staff greeted me immediately and I love that. You can add many sandwich topping like tomato, lettuce, pickles and so on. The sandwich is put on a panini grill for about 45 seconds. The price was reasonable being under $11. The sandwich was ok, where the bread was good as well as the toppings. My main complaint is the temperature of the chicken in the sandwich. It was barely warm.
