    Chicken Curry

I went here for the first time as a night out with friends and the service was awful. We got sat and then it took 15 minutes for someone to come take out orders, then another 40 before I even got my food. The service took so long I had to take my food to go. I ordered the chicken curry and rice, and the curry was absolutely awful. Despite having full chicken inside of it, there were also loose bones that I kept having to pick out. I also didn't get my rice that I ordered, and instead I was given something else entirely. Update: This food gave me food poisoning. I don't know what they put in my curry, but I'm never coming back here.

Even the white rice was bad. How??

Wow the food here is...not good. I only came here because my go to Indian places were closed and I regret it. There is no balance of flavors in their food. Just bland, but spicy and in some cases too salty. I never waste food but I threw out everything I ordered and ended up eating a frozen pizza. Their food is that gross. The minute I opened the biryani bowl, it smelled like Shan biryani masala I use when I'm not inclined to make biryani from scratch. Unfortunately they must have used less of the masala than I use bc the rice was severely lacking in flavor. And every other dish was similarly disappointing. Even the raita and plain white rice tasted weird. I knew I should have just waited until my favorite Indian place opened. I'm beyond annoyed I spent my money at Hot Bits. This was some of the worst Indian food I have ever eaten and I'm wasting food and money because the thought of eating any more of it is nauseating. Nice decor in the restaurant though. I do not recommend and I will not be back.

It was the first time trying this place. My wife and I were looking for a good Indian restaurant since we just moved to Katy, Tx. We tried the mix grill, butter paneer masala, Po tote samosa and garlic naan. Everything was delicious. My wife loved the ambiance. My favorite was the tandoori chicken in the mixed grill. Chicken was moist and the grill charred bits were delicious.

This is a small Indian spot in south Katy that we love. The owner is usually always there and takes great care of us. In fact, he even knows what/how we're going to order as soon as we come in. The food is always delicious, but sometimes inconsistent with spice. We don't mind spicy food, but sometimes is much spicer than we expect. Try the Chili Chicken, the Cheese Nan, and the Butter Nan. You're welcome!

Tried their chicken biryani and chicken curry for a quick dinner fix. Biryani was good with nice fluffy rice. Amount was good, enough for 2 light eaters. Ratio of rice to chicken was balanced. Not the best biryani in the area but decent option if you are in the neighborhood. Chicken curry was simple, it came with plain jira rice. When I opened it, it was not appetizing at all. Gravy was kind of lumpy and meat pieces were not tender. Not really a dish I'd try again. Place was nice and clean. My order was ready within the said 20-25 mins. Staff member was wearing mask. I may return to try out other dishes. I'll update my review if there is any changes.

I don't remember which one this is, but its chicken, and it's DAMN GOOD

Can't say enough good things about this spot. Meaty dishes, full of flavor, and such nice welcoming people. Masada, Chicken appetizer, cauliflower, more chicken, Naan, I love all the food I've gotten from here! ORDER IT NOW DAMMIT!

Amazing Indian food. The smells inside are intoxicating. The food is beyond amazing. The breads were beyond what I could have imagined. The lamb korma sauce was perfectly blended and made a wonderful "dip" for all the breads. The tandoori chicken was cooked perfectly. It was still moist and perfectly flavored. I can't wait to come back and try more off the menu!

Two workers were there, but unfortunately they said "the cooks aren't at work yet". They showed up about 5 minutes later as I was standing in the parking lot outside the door & they said to give them 10 minutes. I decided to run an errand & came back 30 minutes later. My order was a to-go. Upon my return, it took about 15 minutes for the food to be ready. I ordered the chicken curry lunch platter which comes with salad, rice & hummus. - Chicken curry (4/5)- quite unique curry sauce (kinda thick, can't place the spices) with tender chunks of chicken. - Salad (4.5/5) - Salad had a garlic dressing/sauce which elevated the basic lettuce salad & made it quite flavorful. - Hummus (3/5) - it was just ok for me. I've had some hummus at other Mediterranean places lately that are really fantastic so those have become my baseline. They have a garlic dip which I ordered as a side item, it's the most unique dip. It's whipped to a mashed potato consistency. It's good, different. When you mix the garlic dip into the hummus it upgrades the hummus flavor. - Lentil soup (3.5/5) I was expecting to have spoonfuls of actual whole lentils but this soup has the lentils puréed so it's just a little thicker than a broth soup with no visible lentils. The flavor is good, I can taste the black pepper (but it's not hot). I just prefer less of a puréed soup. Lots of pita bread was provided. The worker taking my order thanked me for coming back. Hopefully it's not a pattern for them not to be ready when the doors open.

I was in line to order to-go but the lady in front of me had the hardest time paying for her order. I found that to be extremely considerate of the worker to think to do that. Food came out in about 15 minutes. I was so hungry I ended up deciding to eat in my car. A little disappointed that they didn't include any utensils (nor did they ask if needed any), but thankfully I had some extras in my car. I ordered a chicken kebab and they were nice enough to sub my rice for a salad without extra charge. Also ordered the borani bademjan because I'm a fan of all things eggplant. Everything was delicious. The chicken kebab was juicy, moist, and nicely seasoned. However, my favorite item was hands down the borani bademjan. It had large pieces of smoky grilled eggplants and I love the spiced tomato flavors. Yum! Highly recommend for all eggplant fanatics. The borani came with a piece of nan that was good as well. Overall a great find and will be back to try other items.

There were no other customers in sight, the dining area was very clean, and the customer service was good. Sadly, that is where the good experience ended. I ordered a Mexican shrimp bowl with brown rice, lettuce, black beans, and pico de gallo. Unfortunately, the entire bowl was extremely salty, and the brown rice was very hard, which told me it was not fully cooked. I was very disappointed because I ordered it to go and was already on the road, hungry and expecting to eat while driving. Because of that, I was not able to return the food, request a refund, or have them correct the issue. It ended up being a waste of both money and time, especially considering there were plenty of other places nearby that I could have chosen instead. I do not recommend this location. The Cypress location has always been consistently good, so this was especially disappointing. I will not be stopping at the Katy location again because serving food like this to paying customers is unacceptable.
