We ordered Navratan Korma and Channa Masala to-go. The order came out very quickly. The food was spiced well but the overall taste left something to be desired. The portions were a bit small for the price but because it's far from Hillcroft, is expected. Ever been to an Indian style restaurant with the chicken ended up being breaded. Me neither until I saw my wife's plate. She peeled the breading off and there was hardly any chicken left under the coating. I ordered the mutton kebab roll but ended up with a burger with a very thin slice of meat that I could not verify the type of meat. My receipt told me I had got the mutton kebab burger by mistake. But when I checked that out on the menu, it stated the burger was goat rather than mutton so who knew what it was. When I stopped by the kitchen to peak in the open door I saw the spices were granulated garlic, onion and an assortment of Shah brand dried Indian spices. Not authentic at all. My home Indian cooking is much better and I will not return without dramatic improvements. read more

I tried HotBits as it is the first of its cuisine in my area. I longed for Indian food since leaving my area in Dallas. Yes! Now, I am not an Indian cuisine specialist but I love the spices and flavor HotBits brings to the table. I tried the Chicken Briyani and Veg. Samosas. The Briyani was very spicy and flavorful. I liked that they put whole chicken parts in the dish and had enough to last me for 3 days. The samosas are huge but I wish they had more variety of veggies inside. It was majority potatoes which made me extremely full. All in all, I was pleased for a novice and will be back to try other things on the menu. read more

This little gem is tucked away on the far side of Lowe's. Wish we had known about it earlier!! We eat pretty clean and it's hard to find good food. Many gluten-free options here!! We got takeout and it was so flavorful and "fresh." (You know how sometimes Indian food can be so heavy and rich.) The Goat Rogan Josh was our favorite. It was very fast too. My kids devoured it! My wife and I love Indian cuisine. During our 7 years in Southeast Asia during the 90s we had the opportunity to taste authentic Indian food many times. They have the best Indian food in the Houston area and we have dined at more than a few such restaurants in the area. My personal favorites are the Mixed Grill and Palak Peneer. This little restaurant SLAPS. It's so good and authentic tasting. Everything is cooked from scratch so you can choose the spice/heat level. Do yourself a favor and try the bread basket. Really delicious food and the guy that runs the place is so nice and accommodating. They do curbside takeout service so you don't have to even leave your car. Wonderful since I have family that is high risk for covid. I've been ordering here weekly and I'd highly recommend this place to anyone.
