Ohhhh man... They have a simple menu, but everything they serve is pretty awesome. Note - nothing here was able to be made gluten free. I came with a GF friend the day before. They couldn't accommodate her, so we left and I returned the next day :) Chicken sandwich was awesome with the perfect amount of spice. Ill make this short, its basically daves hot chicken but they absolutely butcher the chicken with the seasonings. Thats ALL you taste. Unless you drown it in sauce which by the way you have to pay extra for if you want another and you most likely will. Yesterday's visit was disappointing and will probably be my last. I've been here once before and thought the chicken was pretty good, flavoring was very well seasoned and chicken very soft and tender. Yesterday I ordered the 4 piece combo and the chicken was not good. The batter was so thick and hard I couldn't eat it I had to peel off the entire outer shell, yes it had became like a crab shell with a hard burnt exterior that needed to be peeled off to enjoy the meat inside. As if they wasn't bad enough- the seasoning was so bland and lackluster. It doesn't taste flavorful like the first time I had it and the spice level of hot was very mild. I'm not a super spicy eater but this coming from an ethnic chicken shop is disappointing because where's the spic and where's the heat? I've never had to peel the skin off on chicken tenders before and this was a first. I would recommend the owner train their staff to make more consistent food because eating out is not cheap and I know how expensive and hard it is to run a food business and these things are the reason customers don't return. The sandwitch was pretty good but it needs to be eaten pretty quickly. the slaw makes the bun very soggy. Tenders are decent, but the breading was really thick and hard. I prefer Howling's or Hot Daves. Dave's sauce is way better IMO. I may be back if I'm nearby but I'd rather go to Hot Daves. Food is amazing (compared to and even better than Dave's hot chicken) with a pretty lower price! The chicken is full of flavors, the breading is crispy yet the chicken is juicy. We were party of 6 and we all found what we wanted as the menu selections are awesome. I opted for the 4 pieces non spicy chicken with HUGE fries, mac n cheese and coleslaw which were FANTASTIC and I tried a little bite from the sandwich and the Shosho fries from our friends and they were tasty as well. However, this place serves it as a single piece of toasted white bread. No butter, no garlic, no seasoning, literally just a piece of toasted white bread. They charge $2 for this!! There is a combo for a single sandwich and fries priced at $9.99 but you have to ask since it is not on the menu. I ordered the sandwich to go and it did not get soggy over the ride. I ordered mild which really did not carry much of a kick for me. Next time I will try medium. For reference, I can eat hot cheetos but i need a lot of water and breaks. I wish they had put more coleslaw in the sandwich and I feel like I really didn't get a lot of fries compared to my friend who ordered the tenders. Overall good and I would go back. read more
