Table never got cleaned. Old plates stacked 50% of our table.
    Lauren N.

I really wanted to like this place because it came highly recommended by Seattle Foodie Adventure, but unfortunately my experience did not live up to the hype. It also wasn't a great representation of either his recommendation or the restaurant itself. We arrived around 8:30 PM, and despite there only being a little over 15 parties in the restaurant, it took about 20 minutes before anyone came to take our soup order. From what we could tell, there was only one server trying to manage four different sections of the restaurant. I don't understand why a restaurant charging premium pricing would choose to operate with that level of staffing during dinner service. The food itself was genuinely good--the soup base was flavorful and probably the highlight of the meal. Unfortunately, the service completely overshadowed the quality of the food. We were only able to order meat twice because our server disappeared for long stretches of time. Every time we wanted to order more, we couldn't get her attention. Eventually we just gave up waiting and asked for the check because we had been sitting there so long without any service. Our plates had stacked up half of the table, but that doesnt matter. We paid around $40 per person for the premium option, but it certainly didn't feel like a premium experience. The value of an AYCE restaurant depends heavily on the ability to continuously order food, and when your server is unavailable, you're essentially paying for time spent waiting instead of eating. Before leaving, I mentioned to our server that this really shouldn't be happening, especially for a new restaurant trying to build a reputation. I understand that restaurants can have off nights, but being severely understaffed during dinner service is something management should anticipate and address. Especially since they are just sitting at the register doing who knows what. We also noticed that the server was paying more attention to chinese customers, especially sitting them all together and everyone else elsewhere. Crazy for 2026 restaurant in Washington btw. Thank you for discounting my meal, but this genuinely doesn't matter when I had a hard day at work and wanted a proper meal after work. I would have paid full price regardless.

This is the reason why you dont listen to those influencers when it comes to try new restaurants. First of all when I got there server told me to me to be careful because the floor was sticky so watch my steps.:/ Me and my friends then ordered the tomato broth and plain broth. And just like the name of it, it was so plain. Not even any salt or seasoning in there. The stuff on belt looks kind of sad. No label for anything. We picked up some balls thinking it was fish ball but turn out it was squid. Not a lot of options for veggies. Seafood not really fresh and everything seems to be on the belt for a long time since we were there. You have quail eggs fell of the plate and stuck in between those belts because they dont have any lids to cover them. And we both chose the classic dinner which is cheaperand in my opinion the whold experience was not worth 30$ at all. I'd rather spent the money at other businesses. Then you have the sauce station which starts with purple congee(dessert) at the first end then you have a bunch of soy sauce and other seasonings and then at the end of the station you have white fungus which is also another dessert.:/ Next part was My server didn't explain how the .system worked or where to get aprons or drinks. We figure it out by ourselves with the help from other table. Then my server put in for meat orders which we waited so long for. Like after they refill our broth we still dont have any meat :/ When we remind her about the meat orders she then told me they ran out of lamb...which the kitchen just told her so. And she waited until I remind her about our order. And she told me i didnt put in order for the shrimp paste. Which I requested to put in the second order with shrimp paste. They brought out the meat orders wrong and guess what still no shrimp paste. they then brought us one of the wagyu from the more expensive menu which i told them we didn't order and I requested them to remove it because I dont want them to charge me for the expensive menu . Later the waguy still on the receipt but I made sure they charged me for right price. And we never got the lamb but it show on the receipt twice. Make sure you check your receipt ok. Seems like the whole system is a mess to me. Anyway the whole experience doesnt worth your money and energy at all.

Good place to get hot pot around Tukwila, I'm surprised there's not a lot of hot pot places around this city. We waited about one hour and 45 minutes on a Sunday evening. A little bit hectic, but I understand as they just recently opened. The line was very crammed right inside the door. The place wasn't the cleanest. The surface was lacking, the meat that we ordered took anywhere from 10 to 30 minutes to arrive. The quality of the food was OK, nothing special. Sauce bar was OK. The hot food section was good. The broth was OK. The meat was OK. Overall, for the price nothing that was spectacular, I will come back again and give it another try.

    receipt and bank transaction information

07/15/2026 8:30pm I'm responding after seeing the business owner's reply. I would be happy to review the security footage because I am absolutely certain that I only signed the receipt. I did not select or mark any of the suggested tip options on the receipt printed at the restaurant. I intentionally left a $20 cash tip, so it simply makes no sense that I would also select a credit card tip. That would mean tipping twice, which I did not do. If you have surveillance footage and transaction records, please provide them. I welcome a full review of what happened. At this point, this is no longer just about the extra $15.06. It is about an unauthorized charge and the principle that customers should never be charged more than the amount they approved. If this was done intentionally, it is a very serious issue. If it was the result of poor training or inadequate internal controls, that is also the restaurant's responsibility. Either way, I hope you conduct a thorough investigation and ensure this cannot happen to other customers. Below is my original review content: My dining experience at Hotpot City itself was fine. However, today I discovered that my credit card was charged $115.47, even though I authorized and signed for $100.41. In addition, I left a $20 cash tip because I thought it would benefit the server more directly. Looking back, paying the tip in cash unfortunately created an opportunity for an unauthorized overcharge. I now have to spend extra time contacting my credit card company to dispute and reverse the portion of the charge that I never authorized. I have attached both my signed receipt and my credit card statement as evidence. I hope the management will investigate this issue seriously and reflect on how this could happen. To other customers: Keep your receipt and always compare it with your credit card statement after dining, even if everything seems fine when you leave. An unauthorized charge, no matter the amount, is unacceptable and has completely damaged my trust in this restaurant.

This was a long wait but it was also Father's Day and a new spot that many people were checking out. The miso broth with personalized healthy options for a table of four was my best experience yet at a hot pot place. It's nice that you can check out the nearby shops while waiting for your table. Bring your patience and be kind to the staff, they were positive, personable and calm under the pressure.

    Warren W.

We arrived Wednesday at 5:30pm and there was a 15 minute wait. When you get there, you need to add your party to the waitlist via a iPad near the entrance. Most of the wait staff speak very little English. Once we were seated, we ordered so raw meat items and waited for our soup. Underlie us, their printer got stuck and our order was delayed. We waited about 10 minutes and we didn't get our soup. The waitress was very apologetic when they realized this happen and did everything she could to get us taken care of. We selected the basic version that gave us less meat options. The waitress then came back and told us they were out of all the beef options. So we decided to ask to go with the premium version. We were willing to pay for the premium version but since it wasn't our fault, they gave us the premium options with the basic price. They were very nice and apologetic. It's great that each individual in your party gets our own bowl of soup base. For the price, it includes everything the conveyer belt, the side bar that has fries, ox tail and crabs. All average quality but included. Drinks and ice cream is also included. Now that we have tried this place, it will be awhile before we come back. I can't say enough about the wait staff. They were quick to pick up empty plate and read to put in ordered for you when you are ready.

So I heard there was a new rotary hot pot in Tukwila so I had to check it out. First the wait was long. I think I had to wait about 75mins to get in. When you step in they have these unusual cgi screens on both side that show different places and animals. It's a bit jarring at first but then it starts to get endearing in a way. The hot pot broth was great for the price, especially when they don't charge you extra for the price. They have a variety of items ranging from the cuts of meat to seafood. However they did start running out of the beef cuts pretty early. They did offer a discount for that so I thought that was more than fair. Lastly, staff were great. They were quick and friendly, and really went out of their way to make it an excellent experience even with all of the busy chaos.

Amazing hot pot! New grand opening with 20% off. Fresh ingredients, great atmosphere, and excellent food. Highly recommend!

The finished food. Not a crumb left.

Our experience was so good!!! Over waitress Summer did such a good job. I felt so welcomed and the environment was very warm! It was super super busy had to wait 1 hour but all staff and especially the host did her best to get us in and was very attentive. Very impressive despite the busy environment. Summer came by every time we needed something! More broth and even came by regularly to help us order the meats, extra napkins, and checking on if we enjoyed our food our not, 11/10 job from summer. The food was so good, conveyor belt concept is genius it's easy, clean, and fun! I recommend the fish broth, it has the best flavor out of the ones I tried, as well as spending the extra money on the premium meats it's only a couple dollars extra and the American wagyu is the best out of all the meats! As you can see the food was good we litterally left not a crumb left and the broth had to be filled up twice. This place was a great experience, warm environment, and I felt very welcomed. It will be busy when you come but for great reason, it is 100% worth the wait!

The food was outstanding, and our waitress provided excellent service throughout the entire meal. She was friendly, attentive, and handled a difficult situation with professionalism. Unfortunately, our experience was overshadowed by how the manager on duty, Sam, handled an accident. While helping our waitress deliver our food, he accidentally dropped a container of ketchup that exploded all over the side of my body, covering my arm and my white button up shirt. Accidents happen, and I truly was not upset about the accident itself. What disappointed me was the way it was handled afterward. Immediately after the incident, Sam insisted that a rag with sanitizer and water would remove the ketchup from my white shirt. He then disappeared and never checked back with us until we were preparing to leave. At that point, he handed me the general manager's business card and said I should contact them to have my shirt laundered. After we explained that we were from out of town, he continued to insist that laundering was all they could offer. My wife politely explained that would not be practical and that the situation needed to be addressed while we were there. Rather than working with us, Sam simply walked away. Our waitress had no idea what was happening and was left trying to manage the situation herself. After some time, Sam walked past our table to tell our waitress, who was helping another table, that my meal had been comped because of the incident. He never came back to our table, never looked our way, never apologized directly, and never acknowledged our appreciation for comping the meal. It felt like he wanted to avoid the conversation altogether. Our waitress mentioned that the owner truly values customer feedback and takes reviews seriously. If the owner reads this, I want to be clear. Your restaurant is excellent. The food was fantastic, and your serving staff represented your business very well. However, Sam's handling of a simple customer service issue fell far below what I would expect from someone in a management role. Accidents are understandable. Poor communication, lack of accountability, and avoiding customers are not. Based solely on our interaction with Sam, I believe he is doing more harm than good for an otherwise outstanding restaurant.

The lobster was unfortunately an overcooked, but everything else in the boil was so good that it made up for it. Speaking of the sauce -- it was SO good. We got to choose our sauce and spice level, and it had the perfect balance of flavor, spice, and heat without overpowering the seafood. It complemented everything really well. We also ordered the calamari. It was crispy, but the batter was a bit heavy and could've used more seasoning. Service was great -- our server was kind, attentive, and checked in on us regularly without being intrusive. They also offer combo meals, which I thought were a great value for the amount of seafood you get. Overall, I'd absolutely come back. Unfortunately, everything after that went downhill. I ordered a seafood boil with Manila clams and shrimp, and both were undercooked. The shrimp had that soft, mushy, almost translucent texture instead of being firm with the slight snap that properly cooked shrimp should have. Every bite was unpleasant, and I couldn't bring myself to eat it. The Manila clams were even worse. They were covered in a slimy coating that made them feel unappetizing the moment I picked them up. The texture alone was enough to make me stop eating them, but the taste was just as bad. Instead of tasting fresh, sweet, and briny, they had an unpleasant flavor that made me question whether they had been prepared properly. I couldn't finish them. To make matters worse, there were gnats flying around our booth throughout the entire meal, especially all along the booth panels where my cousin and I were sitting. It made the restaurant feel unclean and completely took away from the dining experience. When we brought the undercooked seafood to the manager's attention, we were given two options: they could take the food back and "put it back in the water" to cook it longer, or we could take it home and cook it ourselves in exchange for a discount. Since we had already started eating and didn't feel comfortable having our meal simply thrown back into the pot, we chose to take it home and finish cooking it ourselves. The "discount" ended up being just $10.99. For a meal that wasn't properly cooked and that I literally had to finish cooking at home, that resolution felt completely inadequate. I paid to dine at a restaurant, not to go home and prepare my own meal. On top of the food quality issues, the customer service was disappointing. There was very little effort to make the situation right, and the way the complaint was handled felt dismissive. I usually drive an hour to Captain Crab because I've always had consistently great experiences there. I decided to try somewhere different this time, and it was a mistake. This experience reminded me why I don't mind making the drive. I won't be returning.

But the real issue was the service.
