Nice little diner with racing decor to spare. Was able to walk in and grab a table as the place wasn't packed. The lady behind the counter told us to take a seat wherever we'd like and she'd be right over with menus. Upon receiving menus, our drink orders were taken and she gave a little while to look over the menu. After placing our order, our food arrived within 15 minutes. The initial presentation of the food told me everything I needed to know. The food was delicious. Good ol fashioned homemade breakfast that you'd expect from a diner. The prices are reasonable as well.

We received fast and friendly service during our visit, which set the tone right away. The restaurant has a personable, small town cafe vibe which was welcoming. As for the food, the pancakes were pretty decent, the turkey bacon was definitely top tier, and the eggs were quite good as well. The French toast, surprisingly lacked flavor which was a little disappointing. Overall, it was a pleasant experience, and we plan to return to explore more of the menu- especially since we've heard great things about their lunch options.

A lovely dish of banana pudding.

I was on the search for a burger, and happened upon this place. It has a classic diner feel to it and there is a big enough menu to warrant at least a few more visits. There are multiple TVs playing at the same time, all different channels too. I thought that was interesting. There are pictures of cars everywhere and photos of people with their cars on the wall. I really enjoyed the cheeseburger and fries. (they write little messages on top of the buns. I'm just glad the one on mine wasn't rude or anything.) The banana pudding was really good too. The sweet tea was good enough for more than one refill. My server was very nice and seemed to be working hard. The place seemed clean. As it is, they are proudly "women-owned" and I think that's pretty cool. Cars, food, and chicks. Definitely a win-win-win for any dude out there that's into that stuff. Some of the older gentlemen at one of the tables near me tonight were certainly letting their voices be heard and not all of them were nice. So maybe there aren't that many left. One of them decided to go behind the counter and play with the dirty dishes. I'm not exactly sure what his deal was. Only complaints: the bathroom was gender-neutral, which could cause problems and just makes me feel uncomfortable, personally. It's also a one-person deal, which is a double-edged sword at best. And behind a couple of the booths, in the corner of the dining room, there is a play area set up for whom I assume are small children. That could get intrusive and annoying if it's a busy day. It seems really out of place and unnecessary. Especially when there are creepy dolls, Mini-Walmart shopping carts, and a full pretend kitchen set that gives off an "anything you can do, I can do better" vibe. If there are any friendly competitions between the cook and the kids on who can prepare a better meal in the future, I wouldn't be surprised. There are also lots of ads and photos printed onto the tables, which makes it very awkward to eat your food while a bunch of faces are staring back up at you. I just put stuff over the creepy images while I'm there, which is what I recommend if it bothers you as well. However, they did have little packs of marmalade at each table, so I'll be back for sure.

Homemade burger bun was amazing! Angus beef was excellent! This was my first time eating here and by far the best burger in Hampton roads! A++++

Cool place! Great food. You can tell that everyone there were regulars, the owner and staff knew everyone. They are very celiac friendly too. I'm going back!

I found myself in the Great Bridge section of Chesapeake recently around lunchtime and I decided to stop by Hotrodders Cafe. I'm a creature of habit and when I find something I like, I'll tend to stick with it. The Reuben sandwich here is my favorite and sometimes, not often, but sometimes, I'll make a special trip over here just to satisfy my cravings for this incredible creation. It's plied high with pastrami, grilled to perfection and served piping hot. It was love at first bite for me!

We decided to stay close to home and headed over to The Egg Bistro, conveniently located just across the street from us. It's actually within walking distance, but not today--not in this oppressive heat! We love coming here because the food is consistently excellent, the staff is always friendly, and every visit is a great experience. My wife ordered the Chicken Salad Wrap with a side of onion rings, and she thoroughly enjoyed her meal. The onion rings arrived piping hot with just the right amount of seasoning, perfectly crisp and absolutely delicious. The Chicken Salad Wrap was fresh, flavorful, and every bit as satisfying. I ordered my favorite sandwich on the menu: a BLT with scrambled egg and Pepper Jack cheese on sourdough bread. It comes loaded with a generous portion of perfectly crispy bacon, which is always a treat. The lettuce and tomato were garden fresh, and every ingredient came together beautifully. I enjoyed every single bite of this incredible sandwich. If you're looking for a great place to enjoy breakfast or lunch, be sure to check out one of the several Egg Bistro locations in the area. Needless to say the food was so good, pics proved to have zero chance. Sooo after a rough week, a Saturday late morning breakfast was calling for a much needed downtime to sit and enjoy... and well here we go: Some say happiness in a bottle, I say Happiness in a glass! Their iced praline mocha is soooo good! The right balance of mocha and coffee, not overly sweet but enough to give you a pick me up while enjoying their amazing food! Next time must try their lavender latte or pistachio... but gotta get it before 5/31 as it's available for a limited time! Definitely recommend the brekki bowl with cheese grits and fried chicken! You will not be disappointed. Cheese grits like "buhhhttah" without the oily and maybe the calories?! But honestly, so flavorful and creamy without the guilty feeling for having something that tastes so good. The veggies are fresh and perfectly cooked to give you great texture contrast. And let me tell you about their fried chicken!! Chefs kiss! Moist, flavorful lightly breaded chicken fried to perfection that had a slight kick for this girl. In full disclosure black pepper is spicy for me so take that with a grain of salt. And for those of you like me that believe there is never too much salt and add salt to your salt but need to cut that bad habit... this whole dish is the perfect amount of salt. I literally never had to add just a little more. The goat cheese crumbles gave each bite the little extra tah-dah pop that might have been otherwise gotten had you like me added a few more shakes of salt to the dish. Seriously though, if you are watching to slowly cut back on having to add salt to your food, this dish is for you! The service was great and everyone was friendly and hustling! This place is the best for a quick sit down or a group brunch. I saw a table of like 10 menly bros enjoying a huge selection of food, drinks, and catching up. Really awesome to see that as the next few tables were a mix of families with and without kids, in laws, aunts and uncles just coming together for amazing food, great and accurate service, and overall fantastic experience ina random Saturday morning!

Unfortunately, my excitement was cut short when I went to order the #6 breakfast special and found out the fried rice was pre-made with ham, and there was no option to get it without meat. Since the fried rice was out, I pivoted and ordered the #1 Special: 2 eggs (requested soft scrambled with cheese) 2 pieces of bacon (asked to hold the bacon) White toast Home fries Side order: Egg rolls to go The execution of breakfast was pretty disappointing. The eggs weren't soft scrambled, the cheese on top wasn't melted, and the home fries were very hard. To top it off, the whole plate came out at room temperature. I didn't make a fuss or send it back because it's a small, family-owned restaurant and they clearly have a lot of loyal regulars who love them. Overall Verdict: Breakfast Food: 5/10 Egg Rolls: 7/10 The service alone makes it worth giving them another shot. While breakfast wasn't a hit for me, I would definitely return to give their lunch menu a try.

It is now 2:45PM over an hour later and we are still waiting with no updates from staff. I completely understand that lunch rushes happen, but communication is basic customer service. If the kitchen is running this far behind, customers deserve to be told upfront so they can make an informed decision. I was waiting in the car with my toddler, who fell asleep around 1:30 PM while we were still waiting. Sitting in a parking lot for over an hour with no communication is unacceptable. If you value your time, I would not recommend ordering to-go from here. Respect for customers' time clearly isn't a priority.
