But the space itself is gorgeous. The outdoor is really fun with great photo opportunities, as is the inside. It was also perfectly temperature controlled.

What I expect out of champagne. We got a philippe jouan (aka pinot noir) bottle which was so delicious. For food, we got the baguette and a egg confit dish that was divine. Then wrapping up, we got a single glass of produttori del barbaresco and capellano barolo. These were super old wines from the 80s and boy were they screaming tertiary notes. Awesome experience. THE FINAL BAMBOO: Overall, we spent around $270 for a bottle of pinot noir, two glasses of really old wine and a sneak peek bite of their tasting menu. Will be back to try more wines and food.

The Scarlett crab was soo good and added the perfect amount of saltiness and sweetness to the comforting soup! For our mains, we got the duck which had a delicious hoisin sauce. While I enjoyed the bok choy I felt it could have a better accompaniment. We also got the salmon which had a smaller portion, but was unique in its taste and execution. Biggest issues were they started later than we thought so one of the people in our group had to leave before it was over, there was an epic food truck incident (this was supposed to be a Brunch event) with food running an hour late did not really have brunchy items, and they didn't clearly label on their menu that the cocktails were wine based vs. the traditional alcohol of tequila, gin, etc. The cocktails were fine but if I'd known/recalled/seen a disclaimer I would have been a bit more wary as I have reactions to certain wines and sugars. My friend got the frozen and fries so I tried some. The fries were AMAZING!! I will say for an $8 fry it better be good lol. The seasoning, texture, and the sauce were perfect. I ordered the chicken schnitzel and spiced appletini. The schnitzel was really good and big. It came with a gribiche (cold egg sauce) and small salad with anchovies which was unique and flavorful. The martini was delicious too. I hate a martini that's too sweet or too strong. This was perfect. Afterwards, my friend and I went somewhere else, and at the end of the night, we came back to Holiday for a night cap brewski. I ordered a Coors. This time we sat outside in the back patio and the weather was perfect. The atmosphere is beautiful and the workers felt hospitable. The parking lot is not that big but I got lucky and found a spot.

What was good: The burger and fries were good, I like the price point, and this runs ALL night- not just happy hour. Very much appreciate that. What could be better: The bun is dry- not a lot of toppings on the smash burger and the concept of a 1.5 ounce drink is weird. Just make it a normal cocktail and charge $20. We also came on Sunday for the half priced martini day. This just can't be beat- especially because I had a total of 3 dirty martinis across those two visits and they were delicious every time. So paying $7 for a good martini is INSANE in this city. I ordered their normal double wagyu smash burger with fries for $21- definitely was bigger (and i dont just mean bc of two patties) and better dressed than the adult happy meal but those buns are just not it for me. Of course, our reservations were inside in the comforts of air conditioning. You immediately notice a wine wall hence the name Rosé Gosé. The restaurant has many windows which provide lots of natural light. The tables house miniature yellow roses and utensils sat in a small wooden block...very French. All the servers were dressed in mauve clothing that resemble scrubs from a hospital. If someone stepped out in a French beret, I would have fallen over. Our server, Sergey, immediately served us water and took our order. The restaurant was highlighted as a modern European bistro. The atmosphere was charming, elegant, and stylish making it ideal for a Mother's Day brunch. My hubby ordered a ribeye, eggs and French Fries. I ordered the avocado toast with salmon and egg whites. While I'm not a huge red meat eater, I tasted a piece of the hubs ribeye and it was nicely prepared. My avocado toast was yummy to the nth degree! Everything was perfect. The avocado was precisely cut and at the right level of softness. The salmon was chopped into tiny little squares and so enjoyable to eat. We could not be more pleased. With a name like Rosé Gosé you would expect their drinks to be superb. My hubby ordered a hibiscus tea, which was delightful. I ordered a mimosa that had high quality ingredients and was perfectly balanced...so smooth. We were also pleased with the drinks. You don't have to be French to hate Justine's…read more Too bad to have to leave this clip joint even one star. Wait! I give it one star for the amazing gall to offer this offal up as French food! And for rolling their eyes, and their practiced Gallic condescension. Austin used to have a couple of decent French restaurant/bistros: Chez Nous was run by people from Marseilles, and Chamonix, and other parts of France. It didn't compare to French restaurants in France, but it was a decent value, and it was way better than nothing. Fabi & Rosi was probably more German than French, but with a good Euro mentality. Both Fabi & Rosi and Chez Nous died in the Covid plague. The best French resto in Austin by far was Aquarelle, which when it opened had a skilled chef in the kitchen from Aix-en-Provence. Austin probably wasn't ready for real French food at the time, and it quietly folded a few years ago. That brings us to Justine's: when it opened ca. 2009, it was a good value. The escargots were good, the onion soup was good, they served Delice de Bourgogne cheese, and the bread was good enough to mop up the garlic butter sauce. The other offerings were always meh, and the place was loud enough to remove the enamel from your teeth. I had skipped it for a few years until I got back from a trip to France, and wanted a nice French dinner. So I chose to return to Justine's. The crime and the pity of this place is that it is owned and operated by French people, and they know real French food, and they are deliberately abusing the public with their food, service, and prices. Americans generally associate French dining with arrogance, condescension. and laughable price points: if that's your expectation, then Welcome To Justine's! We ordered the radishes served with butter as an appetizer, which was not served with bread--which is sort of the whole point of eating radishes and butter. When we pointed this out, they charged us $5.00 for a half-baguette of bread to go with. Their bread! Their bread! Oo-la-la! Every French or Italian person knows that bread is firm and crusty on the outside and pillowy and delectable on the inside. What we got was the usual squishy, spongy stuff they sell at Walmart (not to cast aspersions on Walmart). THESE PEOPLE KNOW BETTER than to serve bread like this, and at this price! The rest of the meal was downhill--and EXPENSIVE, laughably overpriced, like the stereotypical snotty French dining experience. Before you eat here, do yourself the favor of reading the plethora of one-star reviews before submitting your own. And while we're here, the local food critics LOVE this place--has anybody writing these reviews ever been to France? Or Quebec? So many good restos in Austin have died, ill-served and neglected by the local 'food experts'. Let the buyer....wait: QUE L'ACHETEUR SOIT PRUDENT! THAT'S as close to France as you'll get with THIS joint.
