a plate of french toast, scrambled eggs, and a bottle of beer
Bill B.

It's like 3.5 for me. They didn't have the entree that I first ordered so that was a bummer. My son thought the full Order of French toast was a little small but the dish was tasty. I think everyone was under whelmed with the breakfast potatoes. They were wedges but seemed over cooked and hard. The egg skillet was good As was the eggs Benedict My sandwich/panini was under whelming so much that I can't remember the name of it. It was dry and over done. The breakfast quesadilla looked good

Tomato Soup

I stopped into House for the first time yesterday for lunch with my sister, and I was pleasantly surprised! The tomato soup was absolutely delicious. Usually I'm not a big tomato soup fan, but I loved this! The Winter Salad was also very tasty and light. I loved the goat cheese in the salad that made it a little creamy. The southwestern panini was also very good. I love that House offers a 1/2 and 1/2 option for lunch too. It lets you try so many different things on the menu depending on your mood. The 1/2 and 1/2 makes the meal extremely low cost too, and good food at an affordable price is always a plus in my book! I wish I would've known House was there before because I would've went a while ago! I'm excited to go back again and try their breakfast menu!

Braised beef tips in truffle Mac and Cheese

It can be pricy but, good service and high-quality food. Try the little Dutch Baby skillets, it's great with breakfast and feeds 1-2 as a side or desert. Brunch is the best, but their Mac & cheese won't disappoint. Their soups are great to freeze and heat up later. I keep a few in my freezer for rainy days. Their specials are consistently good, and rotate often. They have some great homemade ice teas too. They're accommodating when it comes to Gluten free bread for sandwiches and breakfast options. Some of the food cans be kind of rich, so I take part of it home to finish later. I don't eat a lot of meat, but their beef and pork dishes are consistently superb.

2.5 stars. - not rounding up…read more Poor service, little too pricey for what I received. Very unorganized kitchen and staff. Overall missed the mark. I ordered the Satchmo, a buffalo chicken, Italian hoagie, ham hoagie, 4 chicken tenders and fries which came to a grand total of $85. Phew. This was my first time here, but I've heard the food and cheese steaks were great so I was ok with things at this point. I placed my order for pickup and was told it would be 20 minutes. I came in around the 20ish minute mark and waited for 25 more minutes. There was only 1 other person waiting with me. I did see 3-4 other people come in pickup and leave while I waited, but it wasn't busy by standards. While waiting is when I when I observed how unorganized and dis shoveled the staff were. The lady upfront was kind, attentive, and seemed to be running the show putting orders together. But, when she asked for help she didn't get any. She asked another staff member to help bag a specific sandwich for an order, several times, and it went in the guys ear and right out the other. I could also hear them scrambling in the back working on my order, and complaining about how many Italian hoagie orders came in right at the same time. Maybe they were behind, maybe they accidentally let mine go with a different order? This is all speculation but they were definitely overwhelmed and it shouldn't have taken that long for my order. The cheese steaks were good, and the Italian hoagie was very hearty! They do not skimp on meat, but the hoagie bread was so hard most of it was thrown away. I don't care for shredded gums. Overall, not a good first time experience. Minus a star for the price, minus a star for the delayed pickup time, and minus 1/2 for the rock hard Italian hoagie bread. The steaks were good but everything else outweighed the food quality.

We worked with Teresa and Alexa, to get the menu options right, main dishes and appetizers, discuss the drink options, and dessert. They were extremely prompt at providing information and responding to questions. We had final confirmations for everything, so there was no question about what our experience there would entail. On the day itself, everything was ready, and the food choices were excellent. We let them know that we had a couple late cancellations, and they didn't charge for those individuals. We had a room in the rear, and a table set up with appetizers when guests arrived. The tables were arranged in rows, and we had Diane and Alex serving the entire room. They were fantastic. They took everyone's entree order - choice of salmon, chicken, or gnocchi. All three were excellent. If someone (like me!) wanted a drink from the bar, they supplied it quickly. They hustled so much! The cake was great - my kid only likes certain icing, and they complied. I highly recommend scheduling your event with DiFabio's!

Good Kitchen, But Total Failure in Hospitality Leadership…read more As a 10-year Yelp Elite reviewer, I rarely post out of pure frustration, but our experience here warrants a serious discussion on public decorum and front-of-house management. My wife and I drove a distance to celebrate her birthday before a local theater performance. While the food preparation and waitstaff were perfectly fine, the entire evening was nullified by a total lack of situational leadership from management. During our appetizers, a child in an adjacent private party room began screaming and throwing a severe tantrum. We've all been parents; we know children are unpredictable. But there is a baseline expectation of public decency. The parents failed to proactively remove the child, leaving our stress levels through the roof. When a disturbance reaches that level, it is management's job to protect the environment for the rest of their paying patrons. I had to seek out the owner myself just to get a reaction. In business, an experience is "yours to win or yours to lose." Management chose to lose. The owner clearly prioritized the bottom line of one private party over the sanity of his staff and individual diners. Moving our table a few feet mid-meal did nothing to block the noise. Where the owner failed Hospitality 101: Lack of Spine: Management should have firmly requested the party hosts take the child outside immediately, rather than waiting for an uncomfortable patron to complain. Zero Service Recovery: On a $100+ bill with wine, a savvy business owner remedies a ruined atmosphere on the spot. Proactively comping the wine or offering a birthday dessert is basic customer retention. We were offered absolutely nothing. We only stayed because we were on a strict pre-theater timeline and didn't know the area. Quality food means nothing if the environment is chaotic and management lacks the spine to enforce basic decorum. A massive disappointment for a special night out.
