Haven't been to babes at night time to check out their bands. We stopped in last night after going to the Assumption bazaar on 78th and York. We stopped in decided to have a few beers and we actually stayed a little bit longer because we enjoyed the band that was playing. I don't remember their name which I should but I don't know if they'll ever be back. They seem to have a great following so I do feel bad that I didn't get their name but if I do get it, I will edit it in here. They played R&B a little bit of funk. They were pretty good bartender was really sweet. Of course they don't serve any food there and only food that we got was popcorn, but hey, it is what it is we had already eaten lol, but if you get an opportunity on the weekend, stop in and see what band they have playing on stage Thanks For The Read Until Next Time...... read more

Wow! I'm impressed. Haven't been here in years, the name has since changed but it's not a bad thing. The live music was off the hook! Great atmosphere and bartender (Morgan). Big enough dance floor for everyone. Shout out the band Jewel & The Rough! They were fantastic! Played old and new and they mixed songs together, you would think it was a dj mixing up the jams for the night. I'll definitely be back to Babe's ;-) read more

Dive club Babes use to be jumping back in the day- That was a different crowd back then with good music, good company, and good times- I didn't know what to expect as I pulled up to the front on the parking lot- (once full) I haven't danced or drank here in over a decade- We came in to play some pool and noticed it was rock night - (apparently late 80's) They had a live band and the I swear if I didn't have my iPhone would have believed I walked into an 80's flick - From the 80's throwback dancing, the attire (short skirts), and the handful of Wayne's and Garth's walking around- (nice) It was worth coming in tonight if anything just for the people- Naturally I stayed for a few games of pool, shared a few jokes, and yeah sang a few lyrics- If we're doing throwbacks how about we go back to the 90's next time- lol (just saying) Good times - read more

Caught the bartender/waitress smoking drugs in the women's restroom. Same girl was hitting on my husband the whole time we were there.

I live nearby. Always kind and cheap. Frozen pizza always tastes great and pool tables are fun.

I went into " Babes" to get something to eat and a drink. When I walked in I noticed people smoking @ the bar..... I asked the bartender, how do they allow smoking inside .... she stated that they allowed smoking & that they were grandfathered in. I realized that they lied to me, and took a video of people smoking on my phone. I couldn't believe what I was seeing.... I was told by bartender that it was not a cigar smoking lounge, because that is the only reason that they legally could allow smoking in Colorado. I told her that I had asthma, thinking that she might ask people to stop people from from smoking. Boye.... was I wrong..... I was treated very cold.... and definitely like a trouble maker.... all because I was a non-smoker.... that disproved of the violation of Colorado State law. I have never been treated like that before it was very erie.... people watching me as I paid my bill for my food & drink. I left I was and was followed by the bartender out of the door.... and took a picture of me in my car. The food was fine, a frozen pizza.... drink was good ... but I left "Babe's" feeling like I was the criminal. ....not them... It's definitely not the same place that I use to go years ago. Went to see Hot Lunch, the bar lost my CC and charged me 2x for charges that weren't mine. The waitress was intoxicated and Just returned from a previous suspension. My CC was tried 5x that Monday at nearby gas stations. I wouldn't recommend this establishment. The manager gave me an extra $19 for my trouble. read more

This bar used to be a fun place to chill but anymore not so much. The staff isnt as good as they used to be. No drink specials on the weekends. Always seems to be a drunk hanging around and fights breaking out. Dont feel safe here unless i'm with friends. Spend your money elsewhere!! read more

House of Babes? House of Horrors at best. My BF found these great reviews online and we decided to check it out for dancing. This huge, black bouncer had my guy assume the position while he padded him down. I looked shocked and said, "Scott, he's NOT padding me down." The bouncer said, "Don't worry, they'll take care of you on the inside." We entered at our own risk. Wife beaters may be the dress code for both the men and women. The weight minimum for the gals is 200. Back up beeper systems everywhere, although I did not hear them. This is only because it was free beer for the ladies night. They were not going to bust a move on the dance floor when they could remain stationery and chug free Budweiser from plastic cups. My guy thought it would be fun to mess around and monopolize the floor. I wisely decided against it out of fear we would be followed to our car by the thugs that dominated the club. One free beer was enough for me and we got the flock out. If you insist on checking this place out for the culturally devoid experience, at least bring mace or a bodyguard of your own. read more

Wild and fun !!!! I like the laid back atmosphere. When going downtown -nothing but heels and cocktail dresses are excepted. At the House of Babes though - Hoochie gear is OK! They have great shot specials and the bar at the back of the place makes waiting in lines for drinks, less of a hassle. Plus you know people are having a great time when you see chicks hanging their bras from the ceiling!!! I like the crowd very upbeat and energetic. Typical bar. Had a band playing that was pretty good (Thumpin' ) but the bar itself was pretty dead. The waitress that was helping us was fair ( at best ) but the bartender was pretty friendly and helpful. The drinks we pretty expensive and the mixed drinks had a lot more juice than JUICE. Lot of cranberry and not a lot of vodka, but the double shot of rum I got seemed to be three or more shots, rather than just the double I ordered. Was told before we got there it was a cash only bar (No Credit cards), but they were willing to take my card to start a tab, and I think I could have paid for it with the card as well ( I paid cash as we stopped to get some before we arrived). It looks like it could be a real hopping place when full, plenty of space and I have seen the parking lot full on other nights. Overall a good night, but nothing very special about it. read more

Worst night manager ever. I am giving him the nickname Glenn reaper. I went there to watch the second half of the Philly- New England game. The game got over at about 8:30pm. They had a good Superbowl spread but they were closing the bar by 9pm and the new bartender couldn't hurry faster to leave. There were at least 10-12 people that had to hurry up their last drinks so they could close. The idiot manager prob couldn't even get a job as a hall monitor. Really? It's like 60 degrees outside and they are gonna close the bar that early. I went to a couple of other nearby bars and they were packed. This poor excuse of a night mgr is the most hateful, unfriendly, laziest person I have ever met. I had already bought the bartender a shot and tipped her some cash. I also was closing out a credit card tab and was gonna tip the bartender more until she started rushing us out. So before she got my signed receipt, I crossed off the the additional tip. A couple of days later the jerk mgr said I wasn't allowed back in. No problem! You couldn't pay me to come back. The mgr is so bad, all his bartenders quit and literally just walk off the job mid shift because they can't stand him. What a total loser to have running your bar !!!! read more

I am on a traveling pool league and go to babes twice every 3 months. I do not like coming here and would not if I didn't have to. The smoking in the pool room is ridiculous I thought that was illegal??!? I have really bad asthma and i open the door as I'm playing so I don't die and there complaining about the cold, and close the door but no one cares that I'm complaining about the smoke. Don' t go to this bar unless you want to get pepper sprayed by some crybaby bouncer! He accused us of calling him a A**hole (which by the end of the night he turned out to be one) then he told us we had to leave. Didn't let us wait for our husbands then sprayed us all. What a P***y!
