What a horrible experience!! I purchased a full suite of appliances, along with a washer and dryer, and thought I could expect better service. It took them 5 months to deliver the appliances!! And I should have just canceled the order :( When they were finally able to deliver, the installer foreman pointed out a big dent in the refrigerator. He called the store for me and they told me they would refund me $150 or I could return it. I was so afraid it would take another 5 months to get another one delivered that I just kept it. And now a month later they are totally holding up even refunding me the $150!! Do yourself a favor and stick with Home Depot or Lowes. read more

Super helpful in our shopping and information process to make sure we got the right one that fit our needs. When delivery arrived and one shelf was broken, Mike at the store was beyond helpful in getting it solved quickly. Recently made our 2nd purchase of a King Mattress purchase and a new Motion bed frame. We have bought several items from Howards from August of 2013 to this month. We have gotten: 1-Kitchenaide Refridgerator 2-LG Washer 3-LG Dryer 4-Boshe Dishwasher 5-Fridgedaire chest freezer All were delivered as promised on time. We have been very happy with the products. My mom bought a more expensive Fridge and is wishing she had mine. The guys who helped us on the 3 different trips we made were all nice. Not too pushy. I mean they are sales guys so you have to tell them to relax a bit, but when we told them what we were looking for they were very helpful. I highly recommend going to consumer reports and checking out your products first to see what brands are good. it worth the $35 investment to make sure you pick out not only a good brand, but the features that are going to be useful and not cause issues. We got a very good price and free delivery and were able to get delivery dates we wanted which was helpful as we both work and were in the midst of a very busy time in our lives and they accomodated. Their prices were far better and the service far better than the sears outlet. Home depot and other stores we checked online couldn't compete pricewise. They have a lot of stuff with rebates so you may need to put the money up front and then send in the rebate, but most of them can be done online. read more

Moving into a new place, me and my partner in crime chong were looking for quite a few appliances. We ended up getting both Washer and Dryer from Howard's. Being thrifty and as Chinese as it gets, I don't think I've ever walked into a store and left with a purchase on large items that same visit. My instincts usually kick in and realize that everything I'm hearing from the reps are usually just sales tactics and I usually am able to find deals online much easier without hassle. However, my friend Saleem Mahida is one of the most honest sales and product specialists I have ever met and he brings a sense of genuinity that is so hard to find these days. Not only is he knowledgeable and could answer every single question I had, but he was going out of his way to get us rebates and discounts that he wasn't required to do so. At the end of the day, we even purchased a 3 year warranty which is unheard of in asian culture. Just found out yesterday (11/24/15) we were having guests for Thanksgiving. Ooops, our old stove was dead! Needed a gas range ASAP! None of the big box stores could order before Thanksgiving, but Howard's came through. Plus since I was out of town I needed to order over the phone and buy it sight unseen. My sales rep Ron (not sure of the last name) helped me with the order. Had wanted a mid-priced Samsung, but it wasn't in stock so got a very well rated Frigidaire Gallery gas range. Howard's on Crenshaw Blvd in Torrance is where anyone should go for their appliances. After getting the runaround from two different appliance store's and told I had to wait 30 days for my cash refund from one store I blew a gasket! I shopped around some more and lost my mind at all the charges the other companies wanted to charge just to put the door handle on the fridge. I went to Howard's and let me tell you, that should have been my first stop. I walked in, was instantly greeted and told that someone will be right with me. Along comes Joseph Muniz, my life saver. He let me speak didn't interrupt, understood what I was talking about and what I needed. He was so kind and professional and made me feel like I was family. I asked for his manager and was introduced to Gil, who by the way was just as cool as Joseph. I told Gil that Joseph is the Man, because I wasn't even in the store for 30 minutes and Joseph was already placing the order and getting the paper work together. I was told that delivery would be in a couple of days because the refrigerator I wanted was coming in on Monday and that was ok with me. Not only did I save money at Howard's, I received my appliances in a timely manner(4 days after going in the store), not damaged and not 4 weeks after purchasing it! And the delivery guys Tino and William! They were the BEST! No attitude, no anger because they had to remove the old appliances. They were friendly and once everything was set up Tino explained how to work the stove and even wiped the finger prints off the fridge and stove. I'm so impressed with the service I received. I had a great experience at Howard's. There aren't too many independent stores/places to shop these days. And most big ticket items like appliances are price fixed everywhere anyway so I decided to go a little out of my way to shop here...as opposed to Best Buy, Home Depot, etc. I'm glad i did. The service was great. The first time I went I talked to Anita who was very knowledgeable about all the washers/dryers I was looking at. Knew the specs, the pros/cons, etc of each. I ended up talking to her for a long time. But I didn't buy on my first visit. I did some more research on models and returned to purchase. She wasn't there so I worked with Sal...also super nice, knowledgeable and very easy to talk to. They both really took the time I needed to decide and purchase. I told Sal I had previously been helped by Anita and he made sure to share the commission with her. You could tell they all worked together and respected each other. I loved that! I chose items that could be delivered quickly because there were lots of things that had a long waiting period because of the pandemic. Howard's kept a lot of stuff in stock though so it wasn't a problem. There was a hiccup on the delivery day....I live in a tight neighborhood and they brought a huge truck and the delivery guys refused to take it up the alley it needed to go to install it. I was very very unhappy. But I got on the phone and between Sal and Anita they figured it out so they would come with a smaller truck the next day...on a Sunday. I still wasn't happy with the original delivery guys....Howard's could probably contract with better delivery service...that is my advice to them and the only knock I had on the whole experience. But in the end t I was able to call them directly and they made sure it all got handled. Try doing that at Costco or Best buy! You'd be on the phone for hours. All in all I give them 5 stars and will be returning for other things in the future. I really appreciated both of the sales reps I worked with! read more

During COVID Availability for a built in refrigerator was 11 weeks, due December 12th. Every time I called or emailed my sales person Anita, she responded promptly. A great young man, Chai Harter sold Lynnette her dream oven (which she had been researching for a month.) We went in with the model number and measurements (not available elsewhere) and the price was right. We liked that they are certified and were overjoyed that Howard's had an oven that fit in our space. Chai and everyone there is amazing! I would like to commend Ron for his exceptional service. Not only was he professional and helpful but he continued to follow up with me during our construction project to ensure that my delivery would be timely. He takes action quickly and makes things happen. When Ron makes a promise he doesn't forget and he delivers. He even called me back on his days off! At one point we had trouble with the fridge because I did not measure right Ron stepped in to save the day. He called me no more than 10 minutes after my delivery to make sure everything went ok! I went to the Freight outlet (previously Sears) to find a refrigerator. They had ones with major dings and scratches on them for $1500 - $1800 and another $119 for delivery. Went to Howards and found a nice one that was a floor model with no scratches and pretty clean and free delivery for $1100. The delivery guys were just as awesome and nice too! He is an excellent representative for Howard's. After doing considerable research, we wanted a Sony Bravia Oled TV. We had been told by another salesman that Sony wasn't available. Sal called Sony and found exactly what we wanted, delivered earlier than expected and took care that mistakes in installation were corrected with the help of Eva in Customer Support; and Javi who came with Sal to our home after an HDMI cord was accidentally broken by the delivery guys who came to correct another error in installation. We ordered two appliances from Howard's in Torrance, an oven and a Stovetop on October 11, 2020. We were promised we would have both by Thanksgiving 2020. They DID NOT install the oven until January 11, 2021. Our oven was installed by ABC Installation, contracted by Howard's. When ABC arrived the first question they asked us, was to use our restroom. During Covid, we went against our better judgement. Before the installer exited the restroom, with his work gloves on, we never heard the faucet turn on. We asked him if he washed his hands he replied "NO" we said "What?" He then went outside and sprayed his gloves with disinfectant (disgusting). We called Howard's in the middle of February 2021 for an update on our stove top. We were told by Saleem Mahida the sales person, they may receive our Stovetop sometime in March. We are very disappointed with Howard's Torrance. We will NEVER use or recommend Howard's Appliances again! read more

My dishwasher has been on the fritz for nearly a year. Pre-quarantine, I stopped by the store and met Chai. He could have sold me a new dishwasher on the spot, but instead he offered options to see if the machine could be salvaged. It was such a kind and caring gesture. Now, mid-quarantine, I can not wash another dish! So I called Howard's, asked for Chai and I ordered a brand new Bosch over the phone. He was willing to help me "Zoom shop," walking the store with an IPad showing me models that met my requests. And his recommendation were spot on. Never again. Our refrigerator broke for the second time and it has almost been a month and they have yet to fix or replace it. And yes, we bought the extended warranty. We are a family of four and we lost hundreds of dollars of food in the refrigerator and we have spent hundreds of more dollars eating out extra nights. Customer service is horrible and all they do is pass the phone around every time you call. We spent around $3000 for the refrigerator and warranty. We were upgrading our kitchen and got all new appliances at Howard's in Torrance. We were lucky to be taken care of by Ron who was extremely knowledgeable, patient and helpful. Our kitchen configuration limited us to a 24" double wall oven for which there are very few options. We liked the 24" KitchenAid wall oven, and Ron helped us choose a KitchenAid counter-depth refrigerator and dishwasher to match the style of the oven. We also got a GE-Cafe induction cooktop. Ron gave us great discounts on all of the items and significantly beat the prices available at any other stores. When I dropped by the Howard's store several months after our purchase to do some browsing, Ron immediately saw me and called me by my name - what a nice guy!
