This was a lousy delivery altogether. Date of Order - 03/13/21 Date needed - 04/23/21 Date of delivery - 05/21/21 The delivery was delayed for over a month as promised. No one from the store returns any call as promised. The refrigerator's waterline connection was not installed as promised. This is my second transaction. First transaction - I have to cancel the order as the refrigerator was not delivered as promised. Got a replacement order from Best Buy. I will never order from Howard's again. Had the best customer service experience with Howard's. My fridge broke down and I needed one quickly. I called and was able to talk to Liz. It was Labor Day weekend and because of the sales a lot of the items were not in stock. I gave her the dimensions I needed and she searched high and low on the floor to see what was available. She took pictures and sent them to me. I caught her at a really busy time, but she responded to me in a timely manner. I recommend this place to anyone that needs an appliance. read more

We bought a refrigerator from Howards on 6-25-20. Our sales person was John B. We were told that with the Pandemic we would have to wait until 7-24-20 for delivery. Our current one worked so waiting wasn't going to be a problem. On 7-24-20 we called and was told the new date would be 8-7-20. On 8-7 no fridge and no call from Howard's. We called on 8-10 and the new date would be 9-4. On 9-4 no fridge and no call from anyone at Howard's We called 9-16 were told the new date would be 10-2 . We called on 10-9 and surprise surprise the fridge was ready to be delivered. It was delivered on 10-12-20 and installed by an outside company hired by Howard's. We paid Howard's $19.95 to have the doors open on the other side. The guy was in and out in no time, never did get the name of the installation company, but the installer was very insistent that we give a good rating on his job so Howard's would use them again. Yesterday 11-5 we've noticed that the freezer door is now sagging and hits the other door and doesn't close completely. We called Howard's today and after waiting some time for John B to come to the line he was told of the problem. He first said the problem was with the mfg GE but we told him we paid for Howard's to change the door. Was told we would get a call back but we didn't. Called back and was told John B was too busy for our call. We bought this fridge in the middle of the Pandemic with lots of local business's having to close and we decided to buy local. Should have gone to Lowe's or Home Depot. read more

On 2/3/22 we purchased a Bosch dishwasher at the Howard's location in Torrance and were told that it would be in by the end of February. Salesman (and Store Manager) Joseph Lionetti told us that there were several coming and that he would make sure that we got one from that shipment. That did not happen. Upon following up we were told by Store Manager Joseph Lionetti that there were none available currently and that the model we ordered usually takes several months to deliver. So for seven weeks Howard's has had my money from this purchase and apparently no desire to satisfy this order or customer. We have not been contacted since March 1. This is especially disappointing because we have purchased all of our current appliances, including a bed, from Howard's. In the past 8 years we have spent over $8,000 at this location. I understand that there are supply chain issues with all goods right now, but there should never be issues with honesty and integrity. If we had known that it would take this long to find get a dishwasher we would have looked for other options. We will definitely look for other retail outlets. read more

We had shopped around with other competitors and heard about Howard's. Immediately when we walked in , my husband and I received a friendly greeting. Then we were able to look around for a few minutes by ourselves , and not bombarded with sales people. SAL then came up to us and began a genuine rapport with us. We bought our entire kitchen at Howard's three years ago. They have a good variety and will tell you the truth about the various brands and make recommendations. Very helpful. My refrigerator stopped working almost a year later. They helped me replace it for free with no issues. (Under warranty). Recently I needed a new washing machine and purchased online due to Covid restrictions. it was cheaper at the "big box stores" but I wanted to give them my business because they've worked so well with us in the past. There were a few hiccups with initial delivery but Ron went above and beyond to ensure we received our new washer with no issues. He is the best. Delivery drivers were excellent too. They set up our washer and it works perfectly, and they were quick and friendly. I can't say enough about how much value Howards is for the local community. They care about their customers. Purchased a fridge from Sal today and couldn't be happier. We've been trying to track down our GE Cafe series fridge with no luck until my husband called Howard's last night. Talked to Sal over the phone- we had some concerns about the size and whether it would fit. He was helpful and courteous on the phone. We also stopped by the store to see it in person as well. No hard sales pitches, competitive pricing, and set up delivery for us ASAP. So much better than our experience with Home Depot. If we decide to purchase other appliances in the line we will be back to Howard's and Sal in a heartbeat! read more

HOWARDS SAVED THE DAY!!! Needed a new fridge suddenly that coincided with the same weekend my kid was going to get wisdom teeth pulled and I needed ice and chilly foods asap!! After a very disappointing experience with Jest Buy and their terrible "delivery service", a friend suggested we try Howard's for next day delivery. They arrived bright and early, but noticed something wrong with the plug on the new fridge. They took it back. The Torrance store was able to get us a perfect fridge delivered on the day that we needed it most. They really saved the day after my disappointing experience and came through fir our family. I worked with Lorenz, who was friendly and so helpful from the moment I walked in. He listened and immediately searched my odd sized dimension requirements and gave me some perfect options. BUYER BEWARE!!! Don't buy appliances here!!Worse place ever, Frank Roman was our sales associate made a great sale but delivered on false promises. This place uses a third party for delivery and they send guys too small ( one guy looked like he was 15yrs old, a skinny little thing) doing a man's job. They were too lazy to take the doors off the refrigerator for them to get it into the kitchen. They are trying to charge extra stating that they need 2 teams to move the refrigerator, but when you send small, weak movers you may need probably 6 people. This is a standard size refrigerator. Between Howard's and the company they use to deliver the appliances they sure don't make no effort to accommodate and service their customers. All they want is reasons to charge you more and piss you off. This place isn't worth 1 star. Good luck if you go here. read more

Horrible! they sold me a "brand new" refrigerator, right out of the box,With no door handles. I called multiple times to which they kept telling me they would return my call as soon as they had a response on to what went wrong. Of course, that didn't happen. I called them once again, and they told me your 2 options are 1) come in to the store and take the handles form the display. or 2) we can have them delivered straight from GE. I went with option 2. The assistant then said she would call me with a confirmation to verify that they do have them and of course that didn't happen. Avoid this place! read more

I bought a washer and dryer from here. Initially, I had no problems and was completely satisfied with the customer service I received. They were attentive in the store, addressed my concerns, and I am very happy with the set I purchased. Flash foward to 2 months later when I discovered that my washer was installed wrong and had been leaking the whole time and caused extensive damage to my walls, baseboards and flooring. I called the store and was given the run around. I called corporate but was told to email their customer support unit. So I did. A month later and still no response from them. Basically, Howard's is great UNTIL you experience a problem, then they are no where to be found. They are very attentive in the beginning because all they care about are their sales. Once they have the sale, they don't care about you at all. I will never go to Howard's again. read more

Sal is the absolute best salesperson we think we've ever worked with. He's patient, knowledgeable, never pushy, and always follows through on his word. We live in a house with a reverse layout, so our kitchen is upstairs, and we needed both a 36inch range and fridge delivered up two flights of stairs. Sal went out of his way to contact his delivery partners to make sure there weren't any major concerns before they delivered the products and was honest with us about what would happen if they could not. On top of getting the BEST deal, I also received a level of costumer service that you just can't get at the nationwide big box retailers. This wait was no fault of Howard's. Throughout this whole process, the assistant manager Jorge was patient and responsive. He continued to follow up with us even after the appliances were delivered. We're remodeling our kitchen and of course we needed to upgrade our appliances. I really had no clue on what to get. We decided to check out Howard's and we were met by Ron. He's very knowledgeable and he quickly understood our needs and made a very sound recommendation. We decided on the 36" Thermador range/oven, Thermador dishwasher and GE refrigerator with K-cup built in and also the Panasonic microwave drawer. We decided to look elsewhere for a range hood, but ended up coming back to Howard's a few weeks later. We were in a rush and needed it ASAP and he actually pulled it off. I can't help it. The process at this store is awful. There is no real guarantee of good service. We bought a refrigerator that made noises within the first month of purchase. They send a service guy. Didn't know what was wrong, maybe ice maker. Had to come back for same problem. No real results. Howard's refuses to give us a new fridge. The thing never made enough ice. And now hardly makes any at all. I want a new fridge. Howard's did not help with providing satisfaction at all! Will never buy appliance there again! read more

Howard's in Torrance is the place to go, but in the internet age, just select a product online, and if you're still not sure, go to the physical store. Ask for Ron Go, he's a dog lover, too. Go over your choice with him and he can help you. Pay for the product and they can ship and assemble it in your home. Some product problem? Call Ron and tell him, nicely, and they will fix it. Horrible horrible. Never ever go here. I spent over $1,000 on a Speed Queen washer. The installation was hooked up wrong so when I used Cold for the first time ever, it filled up hot. I was washing a brand new extremely expensive pillow that must be washed on Cold. It is ruined. I called the store and he refused to accept any responsibility even though Howards installed the washer. They will not give me the money back for the pillow and will not help to fix the hookup. I asked to speak to manager and he was too busy to talk to me. NEVER EVER buy anything here. You will be so sorry if anything goes wrong after you purchase your appliance. This is going to cost me a couple of hundred dollars for another pillow and to call my own plumber. read more

I never thought I would ever be a fan of an appliance retailer but here I am posting a review on Yelp. Step into Howard's and specifically ask for Ron Go. He is the definition of customer service and the reason why we are life long customers. We recently purchased a new home and needed new appliances. This was our first home and naturally super nervous. During the purchase phase, he took the time to clearly explain the pros and cons of the various products and offered us tips on what to look for when we continued our search online (here, I like to point out how refreshing it is when salespeople know that research continues after the initial in-store visit). The real shining moment (and the reason why I'm writing this review) is that he was always there to answer any questions related to installation and we never felt that he abandoned us. Our Samsung gas cooktop has a wifi module that sticks out and this caused some consternation as it would not fit in the existing set up. Ron would call us on his day off to follow up and offer suggestions for a fix. In the end, everything worked out, but what really stuck out for us was his constant attitude of making it work for his customers. read more
