Attentive and friendly service, accommodating and got everything right (which is a big deal for me)

It's a cool chill bar spot for groups although the college students get to be too much for me then I leave. But before 11pm I'm in there.

Went there last night, it was OK. I liked the $7 pitcher of Coors Light. The food is not great..the nachos are like what'd you get at the movies..the wings meeeeh! For an occasional cheap drink it's OK to go, but don't expect an unbelievable or exciting experience there! read more

I was there on a Tuesday night. It wasn't crowded or loud which I loved and the food was amazing. As always, my boyfriend ordered a Steak Quesadilla. This time I ordered the Texas Burger with curly fries which was great, although I wish it had more Doritos. We had a nice cold Stella with our meals and decided to finish off with a cocktail. The Shark Bite is a must have! My only suggestion is to update the website, esp. the menu section. Will be back! :) read more

I work at medical office nearby and I never ever even noticed the place since it looks like a old car from outside until one of my co workers suggested this place for happy hour. The drinks where pretty awesome and there served in Mayson jars which gives it the extra cute look. There wing and fried calamari are to die for. Very well cooked and tasteful. The service however is very slow but I can't complain because they have only one girl as a host / server and bartender . I tipped her pretty well because I knew I would not be able to handle that job and she was as fast as she could be and very kind. The place needs a make over ASAP. but they get a pass since there food is good. Just know u will not get the best service . A regulars bar with great food and good mojitos. If your in the area go ahead and stop by but it's not a place for u to travel far to get there . read more

Not a bad place to eat or drink at, but they are constantly blasting music no matter the time or day. I live on the same street nearby and can hear music playing 12 hours a day in my house. Starting to get pretty annoying. Please stop blasting music on a Tuesday afternoon at 2 PM when there's no one even there. I go here a lot after work because it's a cute little hole in the wall place. The drinks and food are really good. The best bartender/waitress there is Ellen and she's awesome and really sweet. She isn't there on Saturday's tho. I pretty much love their entire menu but the boneless Caribbean jerky wings are HEAVEN SENT!!! I order them every single time whether I'm there in person or by delivery. I get them with the blue cheese and they are literally to die for. The french fries are also perfectly seasoned and fried. They have an awesome fried chicken sandwich which u can tell is actually seasoned and breaded by hand because no two pieces look the same unlike fast food chicken sandwiches. The calamari is fresh and seasoned. The chicken tenders are pretty yummy also. The onion rings: don't even get me started on the freakin onion rings. AMAZING!!!! Love it all with the exception of the tacos which aren't that great. read more

I really wish I could give 0 stars. I delivered food to my disabled friend's apartment and they refused to go upstairs until I basically had to beg. On top of that the food was disgusting and completely inedible. I'm sure the owners and employees hate their lives to be so careless with their food and so rude to their customers. I hope they go out of business soon, shame on everyone who works here. read more

Howl is definately a winner in the food department. There are not too many places where you can order anything off the menu and be pleased. (I cant wait to try all the new food selections I'm hearing about.) Weather you're on a quick date, out with friends or alone and starving (or thirsty, no judging lol) , this place can manage it all. I like the different crowds that you're supposed to get in a neighborhood spot. College kids, professionals and everything around and in between, howl seems to service them all and welcomes everyone. I ordered from here on Uber Eats. Burger was very overcooked. Fries were uninspired and obviously not fresh. Tortilla chips were from a bag. Chicken sandwich and onion rings were more fresh and were in the one reasonable dish. The real downer was the chocolate chip cookie sundae desert- a huge, tasteless cookie. Howls is my after work go-to bar. Ellen my regular bartender is amazing. Very fast, attentive and friendly. The food is delicious. Wings and fries are my favorite as well. When Ellen isn't there, I go to Gigi or Steph. Equally as amazing. I highly recommend coming here with friends, family or even by yourself. read more

This place is a dive bar, but we go here on occasion after work so I can't complain. But i am going to anyway. The main reason I don't like this place is the women's room is gross. It is always dirty and has a weird shower curtain instead of an actual stall door. The music is good and for a dive bar the food is actually not that bad. I wouldn't go for dinner but if you are drinking and need food it is pretty good which is why I gave it an extra star. The fried ravioli is delicious. The Fordham kids hate when all the teachers invade on Friday afternoons. read more

Food isn't bad..known for Freshman & Sophomore crowds. Not a bad place to go if you're a Fordham student without a fake id, but because of that they charge a little more and have random cover charges. If you are a guy looking for sloppy girls this is probably your best chance of finding them, but be careful because there has been some shady things happen around there read more

Maybe the dive-iest bar that I've visited in a long time, AND I LOVED IT. It's a typical college bar right down the street from Fordham University that plays all the old classic rock jams and encourages beer pong tournaments. I can see why students love this place as the beer is cheap and around the corner from amazing pizza joints. If I'm ever back in the Bronx, I hope to visit again. read more

This bar is a fucking joke. An embarrassment, you could say. They charge broke college students without an income $20 to even enter the "establishment." Meanwhile, the bouncers have no problem getting physical with people who disagree with that entire concept. In my personal experience, and specifically tonight, one of the bouncers told me that they would not care if I "got hit by a car" because I was standing outside of the establishment, practicing my first amendment right to peaceful assembly. They said they "owned the sidewalk," which is public property, and would call the cops if we were there any longer. Little do they know that they serve underaged people ON THE DAILY, and the majority of students at Fordham could easily expose them for who they are and what they do. So honestly, if you're looking for a good time, howl is never the place to be. Point blank, no discussion. read more

Howl was my least favorite bar out of Tri-Bar. Drinks could be expensive and some of the bartenders weren't the best. Blue Goose is better imo read more

Didn't eat here but the happy hour specials and selection is by far the best deal you can get when traveling to the big apple. $4 draft, $7 pitcher, $4 mixed drinks (not well) and $5 martinis. This is the perfect after work spot to catch a cold one with a bite or take your loved one for some good suds. Drink up and be merry. read more

Very disappointed... my husband and I have been coming here for 3 years. Their staff is typically friendly, food is good, music is good and the whole ambience is nice. But yesterday things were different... For no reason our server was rude from the very beginning. We were there to celebrate a birthday and were by far their biggest party for a Tuesday night (20+ people) . After singing happy birthday, having a few drinks and eating, we started to play Latino music on the jukebox (we paid for each song) and started to dance. This irritated our server and the other bartender who asked us to stop playing "latino music", and eventually said that we should leave. When we asked what was the problem we were told that we were "disrespectful". We asked why and the answer: for playing Latino music for so long (1 hour), pulling chairs to fit everyone (3 chairs), for bringing backpacks and coats that made the table look messy and for putting garbage on the table (aka birthday cake). Really?! We paid for each song and no one else was complaining about it. The place was empty except for a table of 2 and 4 people seating at the bar. As far as we know, there has never been a restriction about bringing coats and backpacks. Oh and btw I can guarantee the cake was not "trash". All of this happened around 9:15 pm! We asked to speak to the manager, but our server first response was: "I manage myself!" Finally, after a long time, we were able to speak to the owner. I have to say she managed the situation very well and did everything she could do to make us feel better. I never thought I would be giving this place a bad review, but things like this cannot be allowed. read more

Typical no frills neighborhood bar. Decent prices reasonable pours and down to earth staff. I used to come here more or less exclusively when I went to Fordham but I have since discovered better places. One time a bartender spilled a whole pitcher of bud on me and it was hilarious.. for everyone else. Stop by with the guys and enjoy your night. read more

Dark bar with few windows. Worst service in the world. 3 bartenders at an empty bar, yet they couldn't be bothered to attend us. Go down to Clinton hall at the end of the block or Michael angelos across the street. Let's stop supporting terrible businesses. read more
