I found out about this place last year. I completely fell in love with it. The salads here are AMAZING.!! The first time I tried the food, I got both the crispy duck salad and the Thai shrimp salad. Both were good. But I feel like I only got a tablespoon of the fuck meat as opposed to 6 shrimps. Flavor wise, the Thai shrimp salad was it for me. It was crispy and crunchy and so flavorful. Anytime I'm in the area, you can count on me to swing by and get a salad!! I will say everything here is pricy. But it's worth it. I believe the Thai salad was like $15. I've also tried the chicken mushroom leek soup here. I took it to go. It was okay. Nothing amazing. Seems like they grilled the chicken and added to the soup. I only got it bc it was a free offer. I wouldn't pay for it. The homemade lemonade was delicious in my opinion. It's tart, just how I like it. I didn't need to add any sugar to it. Perfect. I can't believe I have not come to HS Green sooner. Where have I been living? It's what I get for being a hermit crab and working from home. I've seen them pop up on Uber Eats but have never ordered from them. I tend to order unhealthy things from UE. Hah. When you enter HS Green there is a cooler to the right with their wines juices and other beverages. The menu is displayed on decorative pieces of wood hanging along top of the wall. It is industrial chic I'd like to think. Once you place your order you follow down the line kind of like a cafeteria and pay at the end. I ordered the thai grilled shrimp salad and it was bomb! It was very leafy and hearty but in the best ways. It was filling and a plentiful portion, I had left overs to take home and eat with pesto chicken the next day. =] Kelp noodles are legit. I got the seared salmon sandwich and was so happy with my choice! The bread was toasted and just the right size to hold everything inside. The salmon was seared perfectly and seasoned well. The veggies were so fresh and I usually hate raw onion but it went perfect with this sandwich. The sandwich came with a mustard on the side that was probably more of a honey mustard and it paired will with the salmon. The sweet potato fries were great and crispy. The manager/owner continuously would come and make sure I was fine and would ask if I need anything; he was also very attentive with all the other guests, which was nice to see. Good food and tasty! Stumbled upon this restaurant at 3:01 and found that their happy hour started at 3 so I ordered two of the items on the happy hour menu. Got guacamame (edamame guacamole) and falafel bites. Both delicious and great for an afternoon snack. Originally priced at $5.75 but the happy hour brings them down to $4 each. My second time here. The first time was not the best experience. We decided to eat food from their existing food bar; which is located as soon as you walk in. I do not recommend the food bar. The second visit we made was so much better. This place is actually sooooo delicious. It's best to get the items off their menu vs. ordering from the food bar. The food on the menu taste more fresh, more put-together and definitely more flavorful. The environment is super chilled and comfortable. It's also a cool spot to chill and work on your laptop. I added Sweet potato waffle fries for $4.50 extra. Everything was heavenly delicious! I was skeptical about the sauces for the wrap so I got them on the side... but, they were excellent & both complimented the ingredients of the wrap very well. My only gripes and disappointments was the VERY small portion of grilled chicken given*** as you can see from the photo, it was nothing to brag about. ... Not to mention the guy preparing the food wasn't very friendly. And the fresh fruit and salsa's are out for self serve. Food is great but as of lately they've been CONSTANTLY messing up my order and it's so aggravating. They've done this consistently for the last 4 times whether it was online or at the restaurant. HS Green is one of those healthy spots and there's nothing wrong with that! Strategically located right next to 24 Hour Fitness on Richmond, I pass by the restaurant all the time and finally took the plunge. There's a large parking lot and other businesses are in the same shopping center including Spec's and TJ Maxx. The interior has a trendy, modern, and casual feel. You order at the counter and either take your food with you or it's brought to your table. They also have free wifi! The menu mainly consists of wraps, salads, and pizza but there are some entrees and apps as well! I went with the steak wrap which comes with flank steak, romaine, tomatoes, cucumbers, onions, roasted corn, and garlic aioli on a white or wheat tortilla. The wraps come with your choice of either chips and salsa or fruit. At $9, it's a steal! I was beyond impressed with the freshness of the ingredients. The steak was juicy and at the same level in terms of quality that you would pay a lot more for at a fancy steakhouse. The veggies were crisp and flavorful too. The chips and salsa came with both a red salsa and a tomatillo salsa. I preferred the green salsa but both were good! They also have a little bar area where you can enjoy a glass of wine, beer, or a smoothie. At $7 a pop, the smoothies are a little pricey but that's due to the ingredients. If you're looking for some good food that's also healthy, check out HS Green! They also have a happy hour with discounts on apps and drinks. One last point to make. The service really stood out. After finishing my meal, a busboy came to take my plate. I had placed two notecards from work on my plate to throw away. Good, fresh, and reasonably priced. Stopped in for a last minute dinner because I wanted something quick but healthy. HS Green was exactly that. I ordered the soy ginger grilled chicken ($9). The chicken was a bit dry but what else would you expect from chicken breast. I did not like the ginger sauce that came along on the side, too strong of a ginger and cilantro flavor. The sautéed brown rice however was lightly cooked with a soy ginger sauce. It wasn't too salty and had just the right amount of flavor. Great first experience! I ordered the Salmon kale ginger salad, which was an explosion of flavors and my mom ordered the southwest chicken wrap. She ate half there and took the other half home since it's a big wrap. I saw that they had a pretty interesting bar area, but instead of liquids and alcoholic drinks they offer smoothies and coffee. My first time here and 2nd time was like a night and day experience. The 2nd time I ordered the salmon and Greek salad, as well as grilled shrimp. The shrimp was flavorful, but the salmon was horrible! I asked the lady to make a fresh salmon, because the fillets sitting out looked dry. Not sure if she really listened to me or not. The salmon she brought had to be 2.5-3 oz. It was so small, but I couldn't even finish it. It was fishy and dry. I don't know why I didn't return it to them. I just left it on my plate and left. My friend had lunch with me and was in a hurry, so that probably had something to do with it. I may give them another try. The first time I came with the lunch crew, like around 12p. I'm not the type to compare, but this place could have more variety of fruits, dressings, and toppings to go into the salad. There is, however, a lot of protein choices to choose from which is pretty awesome. You can order a certain type of salad such as a caesar salad and such. However, I decided to build my own. I got the spring mix and baby spinach for my greens. I added red onion, cucumber, corn, edamame, carrots, strawberries, and tomatoes to my salad. I chose to go with the caesar dressing and the spicy thai dressing on the side just to try it because I wasn't sure how it tasted. For my protein, I chose chicken. Altogether, the salad was amazing. There are a lot of other options if you don't feel like you want a salad. There is pizza, wraps, and other dishes to choose from. After looking over several good sounding and healthy places, we decided to give this place a try and I'm so glad we did! I ordered the grilled chicken sandwich (no bun) with sweet potato fries and my husband ordered the angus burger with sweet potato fries. The fries were very light and crispy! Turkey bacon on my sandwich provided a nice crunch, and the chipotle aioli was divine. My husband said the mustard was so good and tasted homemade! He had a black currant iced tea and I had the mango iced tea (both are unsweetened)! Yummy!!! We met my sister here because she is a health nut, not typically somewhere I would go, however I do love fresh pressed juices! So, of course I chose the margarita pizza, and so glad I did. It was sooooooo good! They make everything in front of you and the veggies and mozzarella were so fresh and delicious. the best part is they cook the pizza in a brick oven so the crust is amazing! The restaurant itself was very clean, and the staff was very friendly. I know you wouldn't think of somewhere like this for good pizza, but this is one of the best pizzas I've had in the Greenway Plaza area!
