i had the salmon ginger salad and it was great! the salad is ginormous and somehow i managed to eat every little bit of it. it is a little spicy due to the red chili flakes and ginger - but it was well complimented. i also tried the watermelon, mint, and lime juice. it was very refreshing! h.s. green also gives out frequent buyer cards and for purchasing the juice, you get another punch! i'll definitely be coming back... my eyes lit up a bit looking at the shrimp! really wanna try that next. read more

Good food; great service. I passed by this place the other day walking from store to store and though it would be cool to try. I decided today was the day to drop in as I grew tired of fitfood when I'm on a rush. The staff was really friendly and they worked really fast! I got home to taste how fresh the ingredients truly were. I got the southwest chicken wrap. Usually, healthy fast food is bland, but this place was not. I ate here for the first time today with family. We split the prosciutto and arugula pizza, cheese plate, and hummus. The hummus was delicious. Good flavor. I wasn't the biggest fan of the hard flatbread they served with it, but it was alright. The cheese plate was very underwhelming. A few pieces of fresh mozzarella, brie, a sprinkle of nuts, handful of grapes, and more of the hard flatbread. The pizza was flavorful and delicious. However, the amount of arugula and prosciutto on the pizza was incredibly disappointing. Over $13 for a glorified cheese pizza. Their cheese blend is delicious, as well as their sauce...but the toppings were sparse. It's a shame, too, because the quality of their prosciutto is there. I could just barely taste it (see attached photo). The service wasn't that great, either. The girl never came back to give us our check or check up on us after one refill, so we had to walk up to the bar to pay for our lunch. I had a bad experience with a staff member. I paid with the wrong credit card and asked if she could refund that card and charge the correct card. Instead of trying, she just said "yeah... I don't think we can do that" in a really obnoxious and condescending tone. The food is decent, nothing crazy, but I probably won't return if the staff is so dismissive of basic customer service requests. By the way, she could do it. She was just too lazy to try. By far one of my favorite places in Houston. I'm vegetarian and I love their fresh salad bar. They just added vegan options as well. I'm super excited to try their new menu. I've been here 4 times for the Salmon Ginger Salad (amazing) and once for a chicken wrap (good). The staff are friendly and helpful. My only complaint (other than location) is that they offered me a card after the 2nd visit to punch (get 1 free after 9) yet never ask for it when I'm at the cashier, so my 5 visits only show 2 stamps. I've come here a number of times for lunch and can say I am a huge fan of the place and the food. I usually come for lunch with coworkers and take advantage of the weekly specials (the salmon special being my most chosen option) and every time it's been fantastic. The food is excellent, very good quality ingredients and plenty of flavor found in all the dishes I've tried, as well as the ones my friends have. Their salad bar provides tons of ingredients that you can add if you opt for the BYOB choice. I've yet to try their pizza, but can safely say the salmon salad, as well as any of the specials (salmon, crispy duck, & rotisserie chicken) are all delicious. The service I have received as well has always been great. My only "issue" I've experienced there was one time during late lunch (around 3:45pm) my order was taking along time to get out, so long in fact that my friend finished hers before I had received mine. I'm not one to complain, thus just kept waiting. Eventually the food came out, and the cook came out to apologize for the delay and offered all of us at the table free cookies, regardless of us mentioning anything. read more

We decided to give this place a try after driving by and watching the progress of their opening. We showed up at 10:20am on Saturday morning. The door was locked as they don't open till 10:30 am. So we waited outside at the bistro table next to the door. A person came to unlock the door but they didn't bother to say anything to us like "come on in". No big deal. We walk in, not a single person (there were 7 employees behind the counter) greeted us or even acknowledged us. They actually seemed annoyed we were there so early. My boyfriend even said hello to the lady closest to us behind the counter. Stone faced she said nothing back. So rude. I wanted to leave immediately. I don't believe in giving business my money if they don't appreciate my business. We stayed and both ordered the made-to-order salads. The same stone faced lady helped my boyfriend with his order. He asked for jicama and she kept trying to give him apples. Guess she didn't know why jicama was. Then he had to tell her 3 times he wanted edamame. The salad dressings were not labeled correctly so it was hard to see the selections. The young lady at the counter was very nice. But we had to wait till we paid before someone was finally friendly and smiled at us. The salad was bigger than it appeared to be in the to-go container. The protein (chicken) was very good and my boyfriend enjoyed the Thai ginger dressing. I thought the dressing was ok and the quality of ingredients was good to excellent. But the service left us less than willing to come back. Update: Jeff the manager contacted me immediately and offered me the chance to come back and give HS Green another chance. I was surprised to hear from Jeff and glad they cared enough to reach out to me. We revisited last Thursday and were greeted by Sammie. He was very attentive and explained several of the menu items to us. I got the chicken truffle mushroom pizza and my bf got a salad with chicken. Both were delicious. I especially liked the thin crust pizza. The service was definitely A++ this time and Jeff came by and introduced himself to us and spoke to us for a while about the restaurant, their customers and their mission. We stopped by on a whim yesterday at 6pm 06June2018. I had the Happy Hour snacks, blackened shrimp and chicken satay sticks. They were very good and I also had a St Arnold's lawnmower HH beer for only $3. My wife had a shrimp salad, also very good. The restaurant is larger than it looks from the outside, but it seems the bar in the center takes up too much space, but plenty of seating anyway. Very clean. Only down side is that the music was too loud and I couldn't hear our waitress who stood far away and spoke softly, but I left her a good tip anyway because she was very prompt, but not obtrusively so. Be careful if you park right in front as certain spots are for certain businesses only, and the cars zip by at 20 mph or so !! read more
