A day we forgot to close the trunk when driving out of the garage. The whole bottom of the garage door was taken apart by that trunk . We expected that the garage door was fixable even though it looked terrible Unfortunately, none of any Garage Door company could fix my damaged door as parts are no longer produced. Next day, Thao texted me ahead that her technician should arrive around 10-11 am. By 10:45 am, technician Ignacio showed up with great energy and big smile to help me open the damaged door from inside my garage. He next explained what he was going to do and expected some noise . We had a good talk about the old door which was not a good product (that I had no idea when we bought the house). Hai showed up same day after taking time to thoroughly explain all the parts involved and whether he recommended replacing. His tech had to head home at the end of the day so he himself came out late at night to finish the work he promised. He doesn't try to upsell you and even suggested I didn't need to replace some things I had originally requested as they seemed fine. My garage door was a mess. It was bad enough that two of the wheels fell off the rails and the rails on both sides were bent. It was a nightmare since it happened late at night and the door won't close. I'm surprised at how heavy the door is. It was quite a feat to just close the broken door. Hai and his wife were very accommodating, they went above and beyond to not only fix the broken bars which caused my garage door to sloop down in the middle, but also fixed the top bent corner which prevented the door from closing shut. For years I've tried to fix the bent corner but was told it's not fixable, but Hai fixed it! I had gotten two other quotes from two highly rated Yelp companies (one with over 750 reviews and one with over 300 reviews). One said the broken bars cannot be fixed, I would need to install a entire new system (door, motor, springs the whole nine yards), the other company said they can fix the broken bars but that's just a 'band aid', so they recommended to replace the door. I can't comment on the garage repair service, but only on the customer service. My garage door was starting to sag in the middle and I wanted to try to get it fixed asap before it causes more issues. I called HT Garage on Saturday around 3pm for a quote, but no one picked up. A lady calls me back and asks me to text her because she was not in the office. weird but okay I'll text. She confirmed that they can come out Sunday morning to fix it, perfect. I get a text Sunday morning stating that their technician can't make it out today and if tomorrow will work. I was frustrated but things happen, so I asked if we can schedule for tomorrow at 3 o'clock. I never got a response back. So, I lost 3 days where I could have had my garage door fixed. I was referred to HT Garage Door by a family member because I wasn't sure what I needed, definitely a opener but maybe also a new door. I'll start by saying HT did an amazing job! Not only does it look great but it was well designed, planned and built. It is super quite and even has Wifi. I have friends who have new openers and doors which sound super loud and annoying. I did some research before hand to understand what I might need, what technologies were out there and how they were installed and the different options. Then I tried some of the big names out there to get quotes and they first way over priced and secondly this was because they were making really odd suggestions that didn't make sense, adding things I didn't need. I think mostly because they don't think about the best solution but rather just replace what they see. Some even suggested that I do construction to make my 17' opening into 16' only to save $100 on my door cost. That was pretty ridiculous. When Hai from HT came to inspect and quote me not only did he make more sense than any other places he genuinely was looking for the best cost effective solution to meet my needs, no more no less.
