The pork potstickers are the best! Shrimp are amazing as well! You can buy them frozen to keep in your freezer too, we always have some for guests or when we need a snack. Definitely the best fresh potstickers especially when served with their chili sauce. You'll be hooked, we are! And everyone else we recommend to try the restaurant. You can order in their sit down restaurant around the corner Huancheng Noodles.

HuangCheng potstickers, located inside the Swans Market, offers Oaklanders another tasty option to their line up of fast-casual restaurants and eateries. Similar to their first restaurant - HuangCheng Noodle House, you can expect fresh hand-made offerings (dumplings, potstickers, and pickled cucumbers) that is made to order. Their dumplings and potstickers are bite-sized and you get 18 pieces for each order (about ~$1 per dumpling). I was curious about trying their Chicken Curry, but decided to try out their dumplings and potstickers, as the other 4 reviews have focused on. The menu was very simple and our order was ready in that 5-7 minute that was quoted. Although tasty, my dumplings did not have much of a satisfying 'bite' as there wasn't any crunch or texture. The potstickers offered a crispiness, as it was lightly fried, but the filling wasn't as warm as the dumplings. I do wish that they had combination (shrimp, pork, and chives), as that would elevate the umami and add a bit of extra texture to the dumplings.

Huangcheng potstickers are the newest restaurant to Swan's Market. They make house made dumplings. The potstickers are pan fried with a crispy texture and the dumplings are steamed. We ended up ordering steamed pork dumplings - the sauce on the side with the house made chili sauce was so tasty. The dumplings maybe be small but they do give you 18 pieces, which I thought was great. The dumplings here were DELICIOUS. I can't wait to come back for more!

Newly open just few months ago. The menu is very limited. The potstick is badly made. The shape doesn't look like a potsticker. Each potsticker isn't pan fried enough. Look and taste uncooked. I ordered a shrimp potsticker. The tatse is terrible.

Me and my brah AJ just yeeted ourselves into Huang Cheng Potsticker and got insta-teleported to Flavortown.. The crew flips the skillet and--BAM--this lacy, golden potsticker UFO lands, crispier than burnt bacon. Pork dumplings explode with garlicky ginger heat; the shrimp ones slap harder than a surprise For You Page drop, all ocean-fresh and juicy. Wrappers are thinner than my willpower but still keep that steamy lava contained. A dunk in their soy-vinegar lightning, a drizzle of chili crisp, and suddenly we're riding a savory tsunami straight to "chef's kiss" heaven. Two rounds demolished--next visit we're bringing sweatpants and zero chill. Werk.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Everything good portions love their food, great customer service clean restaurant.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. Good place for dumplings, you can even buy them to take home...always fresh! Sauce is served with the dumplings is always on point

Delicious handmade potstickers! The portion size was generous, and the filling juicy and savory. Of course, we already know Huangcheng's famous chili sate, which pairs perfectly with the potstickers. We got both the boiled and pan fried versions, and enjoyed both. Also a surprising hit was the cucumber salad!

The building itself is so unassuming, you'd never expect a great dim sum place to be here! Came on a Saturday mid-afternoon, and fortunately, did not wait too long for a table. My partner and I definitely ordered TOO much for just us two, but we wanted to try an assortment of things! The standouts were their rice noodle roll w/ crispy shrimp, siumai, and hargow. Their siumai and hargow were so plump and juicy! Usually they're tiny at dim sum spots. Everything else was good as well! We even took some home to our families. My parents really enjoyed their chicken feet too! Service was amazing and fast. They are so kind! I get why Ming's is people's fave.

And then I told the guy and he would not refund it because he "told us in advance" even though he circled in Chinese and still allowed me to order it after I just told him I couldn't eat that. So annoying. How do you have that level of incompetence at a restaurant?

We were lucky to find a parking spot right away but there seems to be ample parking since there are several lots in front but we did overhear someone did have to park "far away" which led them to have a long walk to meet their party. Waited about 30 minutes for a table for 6 and once seated, was given menus to mark what we'd like to order, was kind of disappointed to not see roaming carts with the exception of 2 serving Tofu Fa (a plus!) and some baked pork buns. With that said, since we have to put in menu orders with waiters, it does add to a little more lag time from the food getting delivered to the table and eating. If you end up ordering some of the fried stuff, there can be extended wait times as a lot of the stuff seems cook to order. Ended up order siu mai, har gow, shrimp rice noodle, and house special (Hong Kong style) pan fried noodle which were good and flavorful. HK noodle was above average and hit the spot; not the best, but is mine and my daughter's favorite dish when going for dim sum. Overall a solid dim sum place in the East Bay if you don't wanna make the trek to the City or Chinatown in Oakland. Food quality is good. Service was above average, our waiter would actually check in periodically and chatted with us. I've been to other places where the food was good but it impossible to ask for stuff and always seemed like a bother if you ask them for anything. Total was about $24. The shrimp were huge and very tasty. I recommend you eat them right away so they don't get soggy in the unvented container. Even though the container is small (about the size of a pint), they really load up and fill it. I think they fit more than a pound of shrimp in there for me. Hence why it contributed to my surprising total cost coming out to be $24 for this + only 3 other single items I got. Their steamed dumplings are also about 25% larger than your typical dim sum dumpling. I tried the round and crescent moon shaped ones. Both had a good ratio of filling, the dumpling skin was not too chewy, and tasted pretty good too. The fried sesame ball was also sizable, but really doughy and not my favorite. Had a thick mochi skin, compared to the red bean filling inside. It was pretty crowded on a weekday at 10:30am but the line moved quick. Also this is CASH ONLY payment.

Their tea is actually solid and is your typical black milk tea with chewy boba! For hot pot, I usually get the coconut chicken base and the hot and spicy base. I appreciate how they use fresh young coconut pieces and coconut water in the soup. The hot and spicy base is super flavorful and I think it has the numbing spice from Szechuan peppercorns. The sauce bar has a great variety for you to mix up your own yummy concoction or select their house sauces for dipping. The protein options are good with the Wagyu beef being my top pick. After walking around to visit the many vendors, I decided to have lunch at Yung Kee on the corner of 9th & Webster Streets. One of my friends has dined here and recommended this restaurant for lunch. After perusing the menu, the choices were narrowed to chicken congee or shrimp and scrambled eggs over rice. The congee would have been good and the weather was cool. However, the last time I had shrimp and scrambled eggs over rice was at a Chinese restaurant in San Francisco near my job in the Civic Center area over 12 years ago. Eats: shrimp and scrambled eggs over rice and a pot of hot tea. Drizzled with some soy sauce, my dish was delicious. The hot tea was perfect, flavorful and soothing when I drank about 5 cups. This was total comfort food and beverage that I almost doze off in the restaurant. For $15, it was a good deal. The only drawback was one of the employees was mopping the floor when I was eating my lunch. I will return in the future to have lunch again. I might even order food to go for dinner.
