Stopped in for breakfast with friends who are visiting us out of the area. Our first visit during our snowbird season, unfortunately probably our last as well just due to timing. We arrived and we're quickly seated. Our server took superb care of us and explained the menu! We did not wait very long for breakfast though. One of our group had a lunch sandwich. Overall - 3.5 Stars Situated across the beach in a strip mall building with multiple shops and other restaurants, this local eatery serves breakfast and lunch. The vibe is laid back with quirky decorations and the tables are recycled doors and other wood products. It is a tight area for the diners, but can seat 2 or 8 people. There are two outdoor tables for 2 people. Went arrived around 8:30 and we were fortunate to get a tables for our large group however, it became full with waiting list by 8:45. Servers: 3.5 Stars All the servers were super busy taking the orders, serving drinks and food. It didn't take long for our server to take our orders and were promptly served at our drinks. However be patient for the food to be served. The cooks, servers and helpers were very busy. Food: 3 Stars The portions were hearty and will fill you up. Most of the meals are served with "potato hash", however that is a misnomer because the actual potatoes were deep fried 1 inch cubes. And the were slightly overcooked. Perdido Burrito- 3.5 stars - a hefty burrito with breakfast fixings stuffed and wrapped in a large flour tortilla then pan fried with a load of cheese as an outside coating. It could have been better w some salsa. It was served w a side of grits that were "thumbs down", 1 Star for the Grits. It tasted bland and not fully cooked. Baars Bridge: 3 Stars Two eggs, 2 bacon, 2 biscuits with sausage gravy. The eggs were cooked perfectly and the bacon hash a slight Smokey maple flavor but the nightly were puffy but were overcooked and the sausage gravy required additional salt and pepper. The dish was decent but nothing memorable. It will fill you up. The potato hash (1 stars) were the "low point" of the dish. Note: the bacon "acts as the bridge" to the two biscuits and eggs. A good way to the the name of the dish. Charred Peach French Toast: 2.5 Stars The name sound better than the dish dish itself. The peach were not charred or pan fried. The toast were light and airy but the egg batter was missing the cinnamon and or nutmeg seasoning. It is a sweet breakfast item. Get a side of bacon or sausage to balance the flavor - salty / sweet So, would I recommend the breakfast club? Sure, if you want a hearty meal, the enjoyment of the local vibe, and the approximate location to the beach, and other establishments. When asking if we could substitute a different side, we were told a list of sides that could be substituted but then we were charged $2 without being told. The attitude seemed as if the sides were able to be swapped with no charge. The overall ambiance was nice and despite being out of many ingredients, the food was really good. When you go here know that this WILL be the most expensive breakfast of your trip! The Omelets are measly for the price and lacking in flavor. The peach French toast was only what I can describe as eating a thick wet piece of cardboard with some canned peaches slapped on top... Truly didn't know French toast could be that bland. The food was off the chain and I'm not easily impressed. I had biscuits with gravy and the truffle hash. Others in my party had omelets, grits, pancakes. All fantastic. We had the mermaid mimosa which would be the only opportunity for improvement. Not a lot of flavor and would have benefited from some added fruit for color, but even that is being extremely picky. Cool little breakfast spot located near the beautiful white sandy beaches of Perdido. Our server was cute as a button and had the sweetest, most genuine smile. She could melt glaciers with her charm. She was efficient and handled our needs with grace and attentiveness. I wish I could remember her name. I was already pretty stoned. lol. I guess that's a theme nowadays. The menu is great. A whole bunch of options for every palate. Tons of chef'y type shit all over the menu. I noticed they had a chef and ex chef listed on the menu. This is not your Waffle House breakfast folks! They even sell take out casseroles and dinners for taking home and cooking. Talk about ease of having good food to cook without having to do all of the prep work. We had the breakfast burrito and the Baars bridge on our visit. Charity had some drinks, not sure what they were, again, I was high. I had water. Breakfast burrito had pork belly, potatoes, eggs, onions, peppers, and the shell was coated with crunchy cheese. Dang I had the Baars bridge, which is a nearby bridge apparently. It is basically biscuits and gravy with sunny eggs, bacon, and potato hash. Pretty solid. Not the best of anything present. Just good. We didn't get any take out as we had so many leftovers from the eight prior meals out and the stop at Buc'ees with zero willpower in effect. Anyway. Go here and eat. It's a good option. Excellent food & service in a family atmosphere. Accommodating for families with small children. Every person in our party of 7 loved their entree!! There is plenty of parking in an actual parking lot. We were waitlisted and told we could walk and visit the souvenir shops surrounding the restaurant and got texted when our table was ready. I've been making an effort to try local restaurants in Perdido Key and West Pensacola, and while there are some great spots, unfortunately, this isn't one I can recommend. I chose this place based on its high ratings (around 4.5 stars), but my experience didn't come close to matching that. There was a bit of a wait, which I completely understand--it's July at the beach, so a busy morning is expected. No problem there. Once we were seated, however, things started going downhill. Our server brought waters after some time, but there was no real engagement, and we weren't checked on again after that. I ordered a dish that's typically a standard everywhere: eggs Benedict. What I received didn't resemble what I would consider eggs Benedict. The English muffin was burnt, the poached eggs were overcooked, and the "ham" was two tiny pieces that looked like they belonged on a 50-cent piece, not the bread. The plate looked sparse for the price. The menu stated the dish came with grits, which I like, but I requested potatoes instead--and there was an upcharge for that. What arrived was six or seven small, burnt potato chunks, which made the extra charge feel even more disappointing. My friend ordered the biscuits and gravy, and after three bites, he was done. I tried it as well, and the gravy tasted burnt. The service was another letdown. Our food was brought by a runner, not our server, and our water glasses sat empty for most of the meal. When our server finally returned with the check, I politely mentioned that the food just wasn't good and this seemed very out of the ordinary. Her response? "OK, I'll let them know." No apology. No offer to make it right. Nothing. When she came back with the receipt for me to sign, all she said was, "We hope next time is better." Here's the thing: I don't like leaving negative reviews for small businesses, and I always give places the chance to make things right. But there was zero effort here, and based on that, I won't be returning--and I wouldn't recommend it. I know my review is just one voice, but I rely on honest feedback before trying a place, so I'm sharing mine along with a photo of what I received. Disappointing food, an extra charge for burnt potatoes, no apology, and poor service. If they had acknowledged the issue or offered to make it right, this review would've been different. Overall: Overpriced and underwhelming. Eggs Benedict didn't resemble the classic dish, the potatoes (which came with an upcharge) were burnt, the biscuits and gravy were barely edible, and the service was inattentive with zero effort to make it right. Wow! What a gem. We stumbled upon this place while visiting our son stationed in Pensacola. Our first visit we sat at the bar (busy place!) and on our second had our son with us and had a nice table against the far corner. The service was stellar both times. Food is AMAZING!!! We had the Bennie's/Nashville hot chicken/Citrus Salad and a Cuban. I "MAY" have enjoyed the flight of Mimosas "too much". Food was great. Service was terrible! Sat at the bar and the bartender basically ignored us for the first 10 minutes. Ordered food, it finally came after and extended wait. We had ordered a drink each and when that was gone I asked the bartender for water. She gave us 1 glass!! We weren't given any silverware. After food came I had to ask and we were only given a fork each. No knife to cut the sausage or eggs with. They have a piece of plywood hanging underneath the AC unit to distribute the air. It blows very hard on the end of the bar where we were sitting. Not sure that plywood thing would pass the code. Maybe the bartender was having a bad day. I hope it gets better for her. In the meantime, we will find another breakfast place. read more

A very good option for breakfast, right across the street from several large condo towers. They have an interesting menu, and our choices were well prepared and delivered quickly. The wait staff was very friendly and helpful. The decor is a bit spartan, but not annoying. There is a small bar and about a dozen tables. I expect it gets very busy for weekend and summer brunch times. Early is quiet. They have some gluten-free options which worked for our family. read more

Can I say I've been dreaming of the Perdido Burrito since this morning's breakfast?! Damn damn damn. It was fire. It had some potatoes and eggs and pork belly that was melt in your mouth and it was wrapped in a tortilla that had been rolled in cheese and put on the grill and was so crunchy and tasty. My husband kept eyeing it, hoping I wouldn't eat it all so he could clean my plate. He got the Paul Bunyan, which was three eggs, Conecuh sausage / Wheat toast / Potato hash. He said he really enjoyed it but wish the toast wasn't some fancy toast . He did finish off the other half of my delicious burrito. I think we may be eating here again tomorrow and the next day until we go home. I would highly recommend the Perdido Burrito. And this cute little spot. This is our fourth visit today and the consistency in both the excellence of the food and service is remarkable. We shared a crab cake Bene which was again just perfectly done. The Gouda cheese grits here sing (well, with the addition today of a little salt and a splash of Louisiana hot sauce.) One thing we like is that this Bene does not include an English muffin. Just the crab cake and egg. The flattop grilled Conecuh sausage was so good. IYKTK. Always a cool brunch vibe here. Just a very happy place! We ordered a pitcher of Mimosa which comes mixed...Wycliffe and OJ. As we did not finish it our server scored a Wycliffe bottle and the bartender graciously funneled the leftover into the bottle for us to take back to the condo. After being introduced to Wycliffe California Champagne here at PKBC two years ago we have become quite fond of it. Dom it's not; but still very, very drinkable. In Pensacola you can get it at Total Wine for $8. In Fort Worth we get it for $4.49! Still a bargain though at eight bucks. read more

My eggs Benedict was good but the eggs were slightly over cooked. Not a big deal for me. The hollandaise was on point! Service was fantastic. Our waitress was incredibly friendly and very attentive. The only reason I'm not giving a 5 star review is due to the 3.5% card fee. In today's day and age, this just shouldn't be a thing. Sure, the business has to pay a fee to have card payments as an option, but that is something that's the cost of doing business and it shouldn't be passed onto the consumer. I only had so much cash on me so it was either over tip, ask for change (which I'm not going to do), or use my card and give extra money to the business. I much rather give the extra fee bucks to the waitress, so that's what I did, but it really shouldn't come down to that. I can see people being irritated with the 3.5% fee and consequently tipping less because of it. read more
