My HVAC guys initially thought the disconnect wasn't working and it turned out that was not the case. Due to that, Coleson and his team had to come to our place twice on the same day in short notice. Instead of only checking the disconnect, they even took off the HVAC cover to confirm that electricity was running all the way into the AC unit just to be sure. This is an update of a review I originally posted on Dec. 20, 2023. Since it was more than 30 days ago Yelp doesn't allow you to edit or update it . . . . . I hired Huckleberry to update my electrical panel. As the original review states, it was a great experience. However, during the installation process they discovered a problem with the connection between my house's electrical system and the utility connection to the street. They stated that it was the utility's responsibility to fix and that they would interface with them to get it done. After not hearing anything for a couple of weeks I reached out to Huckleberry who said that it takes time and not to worry. Several weeks later I was contacted by the utility saying that they had been attempting to get a hold of Huckleberry to determine a course of action but were being ignored. When I tried contacting them I got the same treatment - no response to either emails or phone calls. Turns out that the utility wanted $899 to come out to permanently connect and seal the new meter (they repaired the street connection at the same time for no charge). This is apparently a standard charge that applies no matter who does the work. So I'm not necessarily upset about it although Huckleberry either knew about it and didn't tell me or should have known about it. It is what it is and is something I would have needed to pay regardless and I would have proceeded with the project even if I had known in advance. What is difficult to understand is their total lack of responsiveness to either my or the utility's inquiries. Although the resolution to the problem didn't require their involvement I was disappointed that they weren't willing to at least talk to me about what was going on. It gives rise to the concern that they would be unwilling to follow-up on any issues that might arise after they do the work. I regret having to write this given my initial good experience - what an unforced error! read more

They restored a connection between a generator transfer switch and the furnace. Quick problem solvers and spent a lot of time walking me through the issue and the solution. My Experience. My Opinion. Hard to condense several months to a few paragraphs. Here's the best for a Reader's Digest version! Had similar experience with low star ratings below. 1st appt. rescheduled. 2nd appt. missed scheduled window/No show/No call. Called office "on the way". Hour later/No show/No call. Called office "on the way" (tracker showed going in wrong direction), "called electricians they should have called you" and then "van is broken and will not be there". Dec 14&15 resulted in Mon. only appointment. Not all work performed/done. Huckleberry Electric (HBE) recd 20% 7/23 for work for kitchen remodel, in addition to install 3 ceiling fans, 1 stairwell and 3 kitchen pendants, dimmer switches, upper/lower cab lighting among other things. HBE Invoice reflects 25 Line Item entries. Initial work for under cover inspection. Paid 60% 8/2023. Jan. email outlines in detail items wherein work not performed/done. HBE's position "from what (name) was telling me the work remaining is extra and is not on the original estimate". Then HBE wrote "what's left is installing two paddle fans, rewire hallway and bed SE. These are extra." Mar. email again outlines in detail 18 items wherein work not performed/done, 3 areas with no power and 7 items requiring correction/completion. Email requests $5,301.43 return of overpayment for work not performed/done, plus $1500 for troubleshooting. HBE's position remains the same. In fact, when asked "did you obtain a permit, install/replace 1 stairwell and 3 kitchen pendants, 3 ceiling fans, upper/lower cab lighting, among other items" HBE's answer is "Yes, we did"! NONE of these items are installed! To my knowledge HBE did not obtain a permit. A detailed accounting outlines the 18 work not performed/done items, plus 2 payments. HBE's response, "The math is wrong"! Interestingly HBE doesn't reply when learned math IS correct, NOT wrong! HBE has refused to provide a copy of the Permit which is charged at $259.21, plus HBE's recently referred to "Original Scope of Work" and any executed "Scope of Work Change Orders". HBE's recent email, last sentence "How many contractors have you done this to?" WOW!! How unprofessional. A malicious personal attack without merit, no basis in fact and categorically untrue. More importantly, no bearing on this matter. Several attempts made to reach an amicable resolution to collect monies for overpayment and troubleshooting were unsuccessful. Although HBE's offer with a $2800 reduction was rejected. No reason why a service paid for should be reduced when said service was clearly not performed/done. This has been a very frustrating and exacerbating experience. Desire has been to part ways and move on. However, hard to accomplish when monies requested remain unpaid. Will proceed in a manner necessary albeit legal or otherwise to collect monies owed. read more
