This place has been going downhill for a while. I'm not picky, and it's hard to f up breakfast too bad, so I've kept going back, hoping it will get better. It hasn't. This place is ok. I was going to give their chicken and waffles a 3 out of 5 due to its chicken being only chicken tenders. Waffle was good and the seasoning on the chicken is good. But the reason I'm giving them a two (in honesty I wanted to put one star) is that I had a bill for 32 some and I tipped $5 so in total 37 some. And when I got home I checked my account and found that they had charged me $110. Now I called them and spoke to victor and was told that they had accidentally combined my bill with someone else. ??? We came here early morning and got seated immediately. With two adults and five kids we were accommodated well. This place looks like they get packed, so expect a wait. Our kids had school by 12pm and so we rushed the service but it still came our wonderful. They were training a new girl and since they knew we were in a rush they had someone else take care of us. I ordered the shrimp po-boy and I must say the sauce is bomb on this sandwich. So good! My toddler ordered kids pancakes and mt picky little eater and 2! I use to go here often in the past. Stop going about 2 years ago; Garden Cafe is a mile from my house and Perko's off Carpenter about 3-4 miles. This morning the food not so hot. Country potatoes weren't grilled, more like baked and not very tasty, and not hot. The gravy tasted like they used too much flour in the roux so it tasted more like a flour gravy, and not that hot. The service has changed as well, not as welcoming. I ordered the burrito with a few tweaks, I did not care for the Cajun Creole sauce that came on the burrito so I am glad I got it on the side... and had hollandaise sauce for my burrito which I loved! The swamp tea was excellent according to my better half! I had coffee and it was delish as well, they have flavored creamers which are non dairy as an option so that was nice! My hubby enjoyed his omelette but said it could have been more flavorful... it was kind of bland but he took advantage of that Cajun Creole sauce and it was much improved his omelette. The pancakes were awesome! We had the Huckleberry syrup and it was different I liked it but it was kind of thick for our taste... my hubby agreed... but it was tasty.
