This place needs a attitude adjustment, been here twice and we refer to it as pizza with an attitude. Pizza is good but the person who has sat and waiters on us both times not the friendliest customer service. So this last time we walked in before a sold out show at the Bardavon we walk in to be greeted with all tables are reserved we can eat outside. Granted the reservations would not be in for another 40 minutes and 20 minutes to make a pizza we wouldn't have enough time. So next time I will head somewhere else they are doing fine and really don't need anymore customers. read more

First of all the music was awesome. First time with a Detroit style Pizza. Amazing. Had the chicken parm with fresh burrata and the double pepperoni. Fresh, crunchy, amazing flavors. I really enjoyed that everything was crispy. The ranch seemed house made but I'm unsure about that. Was first introduced in 2019 to different, delicious Detroit style pizza when passing through the city it was invented in some 75 years ago. Happened to be Googling "Detroit Style Pizza in Dutchess County" for a miracle closer to home, and boom, Hudson & Packard showed up in the search. The location was easy to get too, parking lot across the street. My taste buds were amazed by the taste of the deliciousness H&P offers. You could tell they use nothing but high quality ingredients. I ordered 2 pizzas, the Cutlass which consisted of an array of meats and veggies, and a plain cheese pie. The pizza was knock your socks off....felt like I was back on Conant Street in Detroit. Also must adds were the Caesar Salad and the freshly baked/frosted pistachio cake for dessert. They also have alcohol!!! The staff, very friendly!!! All in all, there is not one negative thing to say about H&P. Hoping they expand their horizons and open another location in the Fishkill/Beacon area one day. I will be back........ read more

This is the second time ordering from here and we could not be happier. The pizza is literally the best pizza we have ever had. Although we are not that close it still arrived hot and delicious both times. I can not believe how perfectly portioned the toppings and flavors are. We ordered the Ford Funghi each time and it was flawless both times. We also ordered the S-class and again this pizza was out of this world. I wasn't sure if the banana peppers would over power the pizza especially because I don't really like hot peppers. Instead it was the perfect balance and it was delicious. This pizza is DELICIOUS. I've never had Detroit style pizza wasn't sure what to expect but this was perfect. I had the Ford Funghi with tons of mushrooms onion and goat cheese. We ordered delivery through grub hub and it was steaming hot when it arrived. The only thing I was disappointed about was the option for their dessert wasn't on the delivery menu. I love pistachio and it sounded like a nice dessert. Guess i will have to pick up in person next time to try it! read more

We have many good pizza places that serve many different styles here in the Poughkeepsie area but the only place to get Detroit style is Hudson and Packard. This was our third time here and it did not disappoint! The crust is light and airy with great tasting sauce and gooey mozzarella. We had the big cheese tonight. The first time we went to H&P we took our friend who was visiting from Michigan and he was very impressed! After he returned to his hometown just outside of Detroit he went to a pizza party and he said to the people there " the best Detroit style pizza I've ever had was in Poughkeepsie NY!" Yes it's a little more expensive than a regular pizza joint but WELL worth it. Yum. read more

The food from Hudson and Packard is top notch. I've had the PYT pizza twice now and each time it's delicious, my new favorite pizza. My husband and I drive 35 minutes to this shop and we are never disappointed. Last night we decided to order for pick up while we were in Poughkeepsie and arrived slightly earlier so our pizza wasn't quite done. The staff couldn't have been sweeter as they apologized more than once for the wait. I don't mind waiting, good food takes time. As a car guy I immediately loved the name of this place. For the younger readers, Hudson and Packard are both defunct car brands that went out of business in the 1950s. Many of us are slightly familiar with Detroit style pizza, it's a pan pizza but not as deep as the Chicago one. I've had a couple of different ones from here and they are all delicious and crispy on the bottom. My only complaint is that they only offer one size,so if you have a group to feed, you have to basically get one per person. But that's ok it's great pizza read more

I am not a fan of Detroit pizza ( I like my pizza thin and crispy ) but I'll make an exception for H&P. The crust was perfection - as was the rest. This is my new FAVORITE dining spot! The Detroit-style pizza was simply delicious! We ordered the Ford Funghi which was loaded with different mushrooms, goat cheese, carmalized onions and topped with a touch of truffle oil. Wonderful! Excellent! Totally worth the hype and rating as the #2 best pizza (makes you wonder what #1 is!) and how lucky it's in Poughkeepsie.
