Food is not recommended. Flavor is light or nonexistent. Meats could benefit from marinades and sauces could definitely benefit from using a real stock that had been cooking for more than 20 minutes. Came here for dinner on a Saturday night- I honestly really wanted to like this place since the menu look great with lots of options and something to please everyone, I felt like there was so much variety id have to come back again to try everything I wanted. It was not too crowded, and the atmosphere was casual. We ordered the spinach artichoke dip for an appetizer, and it came out cold in the middle. I was really disappointed so I sent it back, which I hate to do. When the waitress returned, it was super hot (not complaining considering the previous temperature), and the same pitas appeared to have been toasted again so they were literally blackened. We also ordered the pretzel sticks, which we're stale. The entrees turned out ok, but for a place that's more on the expensive side, the bad first impression ruined the rest of it. So I've been working a lot recently up in White Plains and whenever I stay in town, I go to Hudson Grille. There is honestly nothing on the menu that taste's bad and the menu is quite extensive. I like this restaurant because it offers such a diverse range of foods and they all taste pretty damn good. The Hudson Grille is also a great place to eat especially when the weather's nice because of their outdoor seating. Highly recommend checking this place out. read more

We were looking for somewhere local to have brunch because he cooks EVERYDAY. He's very picky with flavor & texture being a chef, but he Loved the food! We didn't make reservations so we had to wait a very short period for them to set a table outside for us. I've been here for the nightlife, but never to eat. The back area is so relaxing & comfortable. I loved our table, our spot, everything! We had bottomless mimosas for 15$ each. Can't beat that! & they taste amazing! The waiter was really great at keeping our glasses full. I had the brunch burger & he had the brunch quesadilla. We give everything 5 stars. Definitely coming here again. While walking the streets of White Plains on a 98 degree day, our tummies began to rumble. We took refuge in the Hudson Grille, hooray for AC! We had dinner plans later in the evening, so we pulled up a seat at the bar and stuck to appetizers and drinks. After a brilliant mojito, the bartender recommended the Crab Cakes. When my plate arrived it was like a piece of art. I appreciate this, but it never stops me :) The crab cakes were delicious- they were actually crab and not all filler. The subtle sweet flavor of the crab was the star. My fiance had the kobe beef skewers without the teriyaki sauce. Who wants to mess up kobe beef with teriyaki? The were cooked medium rare- and came out melt in your mouth perfect. The interior is dark and modern. They have an outside back patio available for seating as well- I would try that next time, on a MUCH cooler day! read more

Went for Brunch on a Sunday. It wasn't particularly overflowing with patrons. Waiter took our order as we sat 45 minutes before the manager came over to check in on us. I gave a bit of a rude "WTF?" type answer, he scurried into the back. I don't think our waiter ever put the order in. The pork was on top of under cooked dough and the martini tasted like spoiled fruit masked in cheap liquor with no garnish. Just had a delightful Sunday brunch here today. Wow, what a selection on a brunch menu! I loved the open face egg white omelet. Very healthy and satisfying. I also tasted my Mom's lobster roll which was almost as good as the lobster roll I had in Maine! That is saying a lot! So since I was so healthy with my lunch choice, I had a delicious bread pudding for dessert. Absolutely decadent and incredible. I highly recommend this spot for Sunday brunch. Not a bad place overall. The actual restaurant/bar itself is (in my opinion) a bit more upscale as opposed to some of the other places on Mamaroneck... Anyhow this place is great for burgers and spinach dip. Mac and cheese wasn't terrible, but it also wasn't my favorite. Pizza is disgusting. Ordered truffle fries and got regular fries. They had to be sent back to the kitchen for a touch up. The cocktails had no frills and the rest of the food was average. Terrible restaurant set up. Bathrooms are down 20 steps on the right and kitchen is down 20 steps to the left which is why I fell going down the steps on either oil or butter or something that dripped on the steps. I got badly hurt and I was asked once if I was ok not even a drink taken off my bill. The manager had someone clean the spill so quickly when I got off the floor to avoid any issues. Went this week with my husband. We sat outdoors. Server took over 15 minutes to come over to our table. It wasn't busy at all. Food was not worth the money, especially after waiting over 30 minutes for it. The manager on duty seemed selective on who he greeted and checked on. This is the worst bar in white plains. First of all I paid $10 to get in witch wasn't worth it any way the fun part is after a while I went out of the bar for fresh air and when I went at the door to get in the guy was telling me to pay an other $10 to get in because he pretendet like he doesn't remember my face at the bar I asked him jut to get my jacket that was in and he was talking so rude telling me you can get in from the door that you pay in beginning .I had to go around the block just to get in to get my jacket . Nice, large gastropub. Service is very good and the food is surprisingly good especially for the price. They have good steak frites and occasionally an aged ribeye. Fish and chips are good. The cocktail service has been spotty in the past with some truly terrible creations, but the cocktails have been much improved my last two visits. Because there is a limited number of midrange to upscale restaurants in White Plains it can get very busy on Friday nights and reservations are highly recommended. read more

Came here for my mother in laws birthday celebration I had the prime rib steak for dinner and it was ok the cut had a lot of fat on it that was hard rather than that nice crispy burn you like on the fat of a steak I order the calamari and that was ok also it was a bit on the chewy side and I also had the guacamole and that was tasty. My wife had a chicken meal and it tasted like it was a little bit to salty. Customer service was good and the hostess asked us if everything was going well. I came back to the Hudson Grille last saturday for dinner. There were two of us and plenty of seats open. We were seated in one of the more quiet areas of the bar which was nice. The service was very good and they were very polite. We started off with the calamari. One of the better calamari dishes I have eaten in a long time. They also gave us bread with a nasty olive butter spread. Sorry I didn't enjoy that at all. I'd rather just have plain butter. I ordered the Market Fish which was a Red Snapper- I don't eat fish, I just started to try it, and this meal was fantastic. The fish was cooked very well. My date ordered a chicken sandwich which she enjoyed as well. It came with sweet potato fries- they were ok. Overall the meal was just fine and I would come back again. I guess my only major complaint is how dark it is inside the bar. I'm not a big fan of the darker eateries. read more

I was looking for a place in White Plains for brunch. I'm from the area but rarely if ever "do brunch" and this was for a first date. I assumed that they were open at 1030 but they didn't open until 1130AM. However Daniel the manager allowed my date and I to sit at the bar and offered us coffee and tea while we waited and told us that he could serve us food at 1100. Our bartender/server was Alaina and I have to say it was the best service I've received in a long time. True to his word Daniel brought us menus at 1100 and we ordered the quesadillas with sausage and fresh fruit as sides. The quesadillas were good, not great but then I'm a Gringo so what do I know. I wish this place was open when I went to college nearby. For a bar the place is pretty nice and spacious, and has a large backyard. Usually I have good experiences at Hudson grille, but the last time my friends and I showed up for happy hour, we was escorted to a table, ordered drinks and food. We must have spent 3-4 hours hanging out, when the bill showed up, we questioned the charges and was told happy hour was only at the bar. First we weren't told about that and second why wait till we are ready to leave to tell us. I was a loyal customer, but I will no longer visit and spend my money here. We have been there several times and it has been good. So we decided to go there for Sunday brunch and wish we had not. On the first attempt at the my breakfast, the filet was well done vs medium rare. The redo came out as steak and eggs instead of the filet I had ordered, but I was OK with that. Then I cut into the NY strip and it was blue. The final try managed to arrive as everyone else finished and the steak was cooked properly, but the hollandaise sauce was on the dish , not on the side as I requested. For all of the trouble, the manager did take the 2 coffees and 1 iced tea off the bill....But not the $19 breakfast. The rest of the meals were OK, but lacked seasoning.
