Dive Bar atmosphere, but one of the few places around Hudson Yards with a kitchen open late. I cam hungry and that burger was pretty good. Fries were meh. As a dive bar definitely a little dirty. Also apparently if you come 10x they will put your picture on the wall. read more

Stopped by late after finishing "Sleep No More." Four stars is more for the attentive service and the ability to grab some late night food. While this wasn't the best food I've ever tasted, they have a large menu with a lot of choices. I had the tavern grilled burger and fries. Fries hot and crispy, burger was good--served with melted gouda, caramelized onion, and bacon. Because of the late night bleariness, I gobbled my meal before I thought to take a photo! They serve other types of burgers as well--bleu burger served with gorgonzola, fire burger served with white cheddar, poblano bbq sauce, and white cheddar. They also have a veggie burger and a falafel burger. We also got the Brussels sprouts, which were a little limp, but ok. My drink, the Blue Huwaii was NOT my style. It was way too sweet. My friend had the house salad and was pleased with it. The cocktail menu was limited and is more for the college crowd, but most people are probably here for a cold beer. You can also get heroes here, pasta. Depending on whether you're visiting during lunch or dinner/late night, you can get simpler sandwiches, like the BLT, grilled cheese, a grilled salmon BLT, quesadillas, sliders, empanadas. This was a laid back late night vibe, felt like a neighborhood hangout, which you can't always find in midtown/Chelsea. Server was cool and on top of it. I would definitely visit late at night again. This bar legitimately blew me away in terms of hospitality, quality and more. If you're looking for a spot before or after MSG events or just a night out, you've found it. As soon as we arrived, Mbaye greeted us and walked us to seats at the bar. Quite a nice greeting! Then Jassy was kind enough to put the Rangers game on as soon as we asked and hooked us up with the absolute best damn Brussels sprouts I've ever had. Babu also explained the rich history of the bar and assured us that if we were ever fortunate enough to try HIS sprouts, we'd be oh so welcome. Carolina also held it down behind the bar and made sure we were well taken care of throughout our time here. Went another time and Mir, Alisa and Kristina (her first day -- crushed it) took care of us. There's also a pool table and a jukebox. Very family-friendly. I was overcharged $30 by the restaurant and then when I called to ask about it, they kept on hanging up the phone on me. Great place to grab lunch with a friend right in the city. Parking is available on the street and directly across the street is a paid parking lot. Pricing was pretty much anything you want for under $20. They have sweet potato fries as well which won me over quick. Came here to watch the game, busy afterwork bar with a fun ambiance and the staff managed to stay very attentive however the food is just terrible I ordered a Thai beef salad and what they served me was spaghetti (the menu said glass noodles, which they most certainly were not) with some Chinese fast food beef and sauce that basically tasted like it was store-bought teriyaki. Avoid this place! Me and my friends came to have a nice dinner, but ruined by poor and unprofessional management and service. Food was not brought at the same time. For the first time since pre-COVID, I made my way to a bar.... now I normally don't do this solo in NYC, but I was staying overnight for the first time since pre-COVID and needed a place to watch part of Game 6 of the NBA Finals so I figured a bar would be a good spot. Over the years, I've found that it's best to review bars not just when they're fully packed, but also when there's few to no occupants. It's important to see the attentiveness of service in both settings. On this weeknight, there were maybe a dozen people at most so it was a good test. Service was pretty quick, even though it took a few extra minutes to switch the game to the NBA Finals on the screen in front of me. Drinks are a bit pricey ($12/$13 for a beer does seem high), but welcome to Hudson Yards I guess....... With that said, seating does seem very ample. Seems like a nice place to stop by when visiting the city for a quick bite or on a business trip or even after-work digs. I didn't try any of the food, so I'll let the other reviews dictate the food quality. read more

Shoutout to my bartender Jasmine, who came up with a pineapple mocktail on a whim when I asked her last evening around midnight. I have to say that most bartenders usually judge me when I ask for a mocktail; i joke with my friends that that is actually the reason it's called a mocktail. But Jasmine was lovely and creative. She even gave me the recipe for the drink she made. To be so honest, I originally stopped in here to use the bathroom before going to a much grimier bar, but I ended up staying for about an hour and I really enjoyed it. Only stopped in here cause they had a pool table, but definitely never coming here again. They should be called Hudson Crooks Tavern. Do not go here unless you want to be overcharged for things without your consent. My boyfriend ordered well cocktails for us, the bartender instantly tried to upsale him with Woodford Reserve whiskey, and we insisted that we did not want anything other than their well liquor for our drinks. We played some rounds of pool, when my boyfriend ordered another set of drinks for us- the bartender tried to joke about the Woodford Reserve again... my boyfriend politely said no thank you. Well, when we got the bill- we were charged $69 for 4 cocktails that were not listed as well, 2 Titos and sodas (which on their menu is only $11- Not $18) and 2 Woodford Reserves that were explicitly not ordered. We paid less for drinks at Hammerstein Ballroom for a show we went to afterwards- and that venue actually has a reason to overcharge for drinks! The real kicker here is if Hudson Yards Tavern is overcharging people for drinks (looks like food too according to some other reviews) like this all the time, you would think they could afford to treat their cheated customers to some air conditioning. Stay far away from this place- it's a very unsettling atmosphere. Wish negative stars could be a rating for a dishonest and messy businesses like this. read more

Nice looking pub, young international staff. We got three burgers 2 with regular fires and 1 with sweet potato fries, two beers and one cocktail, total 118 dollars with tax and 20 percent tip. Where out of tap domestic beer I asked for but good selection of about 10 different brews. Flavorful burger but a thin patty. Excellent French fries. Sweet potato fries very good as well. Stopped in here right before the pandemic, and it was a charming, haphazard spot that had just opened. They were out of so many things, we had to settle for like our third choices in both food and drink. Normally this would annoy the hell out of me, but service was so unfailingly polite and charming--felt like I stepped out of a hectic NYC day in the office (remember those?) in Hudson Yards and straight into a Galway pub--that I couldn't help but forgive it. Not to mention that given that the food was my third choice, that salmon club sandwich was pretty damn good! My friends got a beet salad (again, not first choice) and fries which were both fine as well. Would have been nice if they had more draft beer options, but, again, felt as if they had just opened and were still stocking items and setting up. I hope this place--and the neighborhood around it--gets a chance to grow soon. read more
