Great sports bar, close to MSG. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Lots of seating available.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Typical American food menu. Enjoyed the nachos, sliders and chicken wings. $12/beer.

Mustang's is a fun pre-MSG show or game bar spot. Decent food, great service, and lots of drinks. Worth a stop!

My friends and I came here one evening for drinks and food before karaoke and I was really impressed! We had made a reservation and were seated in a partial booth table in the back. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There is quite a lot of seating here as well as a large bar and the overall vibe is very much a refined pub/restaurant with sports being highlighted on the TVs.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We slowly trickled in and our waitress was great and grabbing our drink orders as we arrived. I ordered a We Didn't Start the Fire and loved it! For food we shared the Mac and cheese, Bang Band Shrimp, 4 sliders, The Mustang Burger with fries. Everything came out hot and was so delicious! Several other people in our party that arrived later ordered their own entrees but I did not get to try them. One of my favorite parts of the meal was at the very end when the waitress larger was my birthday she brought out a slice of cheesecake with a candle! The cheesecake had a sweet, but not overly sweet blueberry syrup with blueberries on top that, paired with the subtle richness of the chocolate Oreo crust and lightness (you read that right) of the filling, made for the perfect ending to this meal. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I was not expecting much other than bar food and found myself pleasantly surprised by the nice yet lovely atmosphere and delicious menu here![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Stopped by for drinks on a Friday night. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Place was not busy, looks like a chill vibe.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] My friend and I ordered a Moscow mule. The bartender recommended Haku vodka since they didn't have Tito's. The drink was very refreshing and well balanced. Price was $20 each, pretty pricey for a standard bar. I'll probably pass on going back here again.

We stopped in for drinks only last night, and I had the nicest waiter. He gave us the heads up on a brand new speakeasy that they were opening last night. He led us to the back of the bar and opened a bookcase that led to a set of stairs going down. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We descended into a beautiful small speakeasy right out of the 1930s![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We had a few incredibly delicious cocktails. I would do five stars, but we didn't have anything to eat. We'll be back.

The drinks came fast. But the calamari was under cooked. It came out too fast. The burger was good. The service was good they checked on you. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambience was a fun sports bar![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Went before the game cool atmosphere.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Made a reservation for a night before the Ranger game and thank god I did bc it was a packed house. [[HIGHLIGHT]]However we were sat in the small high top that we had to play like Tetris to make all of our drinks and plates fit.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] It took a while for me to get water since my friend was there first he was able to get this drinks in. The crispy calamari was not crispy at all as it was drowned in the sweet chili sauce. Nachos were okay did appreciate that the pico and guacamole came on the side as we asked for Jalapeños to be on the side. Towards the end we were feeling a bit rushed to turn over the table so we left to another bar. We still had about another 1.5 til puck drop.

Great spot before a game or show! Perfect location if you're heading to MSG. The sliders were delicious and the drinks hit the spot--refreshing and just right. Definitely a solid choice for a pre-event bite and sip!

The food is not amazing but pretty solid. Good location. Drinks prices are standard but the prices for the food are very reasonable. They also have happy hour. Good place to go if you are in the area.

An add on to my previous review....felt obligated to mention the lamb chop appetizer.... By far my favorite item on the menu. Service is excellent. Outstanding MSG pregame location. Reservations are recommended on busy MSG evenings. Good mix of local employees seeking a cocktail and a snack mixed in with the MSG crowds. The location does a great job decorating for Christmas.

Catching up with an old coworker and she suggested this place as she's a regular here for games since it's right by the garden. From the outside it doesn't look that spacious but once inside it's huge and they have a upper level as well. By the time I got there happy hour was over (till 5PM). We sat in the back area and was greeted right away by our waitress who was very attentive during our time. I had the wings with their mustang sticky sauce which I liked and the hanger steak tacos which was ok. Drinks were really good! We were treated to a very rich chocolate lava cake which I recommend sharing since it's huge. They also have a large selection of wines, beers and drinks. For a Tuesday the place was busy and the owner was out and about. Overall, I had a good time.

    Delicious steak nachos.

Step into the new 3 Monkeys, a tri-level playground of grit and glamour -- exposed brick that looks…read morelike it survived Prohibition, tin and copper ceiling tiles that wink under amber mood lighting, and a wooden bar polished by a thousand high-fives. Surrounding TVs keep every play, fight and miracle replayed in glorious surround-sass while wooden tables beg for pitchers, pretzels and conspiracy theories about the ref. Whether you're upstairs for the 3rd floor vibe, mid-level for the perfect sightline, or down in the cozy den with the best acoustics, this is New York sports bar energy: loud, a little brazen, impossibly welcoming. One particular bartender, Delaney not only brings an awesome level of energy to the bar, she saunters in like a halftime show -- a grin that's equal parts mischief and welcome. She's all quick elbows and quicker comebacks, the kind of bartender who remembers your name, your drink, and that one ridiculous story you told months ago. Her laugh is loud, her wink is devious, and she has a way of making first-timers feel like regulars by the second round. Behind the wooden bar she's choreography: expert pours, theatrical muddles, and a flourish that makes every order feel curated. Delaney's drinks are personality-packed, with her behind the bar, the place doesn't just serve drinks -- it gets its personality back. It's a place off 8th ave where fitness meets fun, and every corner feels like home--complete with friendly staff who know your name (or at least your size) and are always ready to offer a witty comeback or a perfect recommendation. Cheers!

Taking off a star because I had a weird experience with the people at the front. I'm currently recovering from an injury and I'm in a pretty obvious neck brace. I was visiting with two people who were on their way and would be arriving in about 10-15 minutes and the people at the front told me I couldn't be seated until they arrived. I understand that this is normal protocol, but I pointed out my neck brace and asked if an exception could be made because it's significantly more comfortable for me to sit down (and there was no room at the bar). They said that their manager wouldn't let them do that, and that they couldn't seat me until the rest of my party was there. There were tons of table tables available the entire time and when my friend arrived about 12 minutes later, they seated us, I totally could've sat the whole time and it wouldn't have been a problem. Not the end of the world and I probably could've pushed it harder, but it definitely was a little awkward!

We reserved for a quick bite at Redeye Grill before catching Dog Day Afternoon on Broadway, but as soon as we walked up, some bouncer told us they were closed for a private wedding reception. We were dazed and confused because how was I able to reserve online? But the real plot twist was that it ended up being the best thing that happened. We actually stumbled into Tanner Smith's thinking it'd be the typical, boring bar-food spot. Nope. They first sat us at a hi-top by the door, but that wasn't our vibe, so we grabbed seats at the bar instead. Best decision. Our bartender, Josiah, was absolutely killing it. My cocktail had passion fruit, so of course I asked my usual question: "But is it real passion fruit?" He just nodded in agreement and that told me everything I needed to know. That drink was legit and had nice strength. The food was great too. My fish tacos were packed with fresh fish, the guacamole and salsa were chunky and full of flavor and hubs enjoyed his pastrami sandwich. I have no clue when we'll be back in Midtown, but one thing's for sure- we're sitting with Josiah again.

The shepherd's pie is insanely salty and it's very off-putting. It was inedible. I was looking forward to having it but I would not in good faith recommend this to anyone. The buttermilk tenders is supposed to come with pickled shallots and marinated green beans. We didn't get the pickled shallots or the marinated green beans, which was a shame. The chicken tenders by themselves didn't have much flavor. It also is unfortunate paying $17 for what was considered a small plate and just getting the chicken tenders. The Asian-sesame wings were okay. Also, didn't have much flavor and weren't that impressive. There was also still hair on some of the pieces of chicken, so the chicken could have been cleaned better. They have fries and hand cut fries. The regular fries were soggy. Should have went with the hand cut fries. The tater tots were okay. I was told that the chicken sandwich was good. It came with a little side of rustic chips. I would not come back for the food but I would possibly go back to try a drink if I was in the area. The drink menu looked pretty good.

They had outdoor seating along 9th ave and 51st street. We sat inside at a hightop , along their big open windows of 9th; great in between of inside and outside. Plenty of options for a big or small group, or solo! Our server was McKenna, who was incredibly attentive, we never felt like we were waiting or had to wave anyone down. The food came quickly, and was great. Nothing that changed our lives, but hot, quick, and delicious. I can see this becoming a regular spot for when we can't decide on where to go and just want somewhere dependable and consistent. Inside is like a typical Irish pub: long bar, wood everywhere, comfy high tops and booth seating along the wall. Keep in mind that it is a sports bar with TVs everywhere, so they will be playing the major sport of the season. The volume isn't too loud though, enough to hear, but don't need to cover your ears. The bottomless option on the weekend is great, 2-3 drinks and you get your money's worth. The bloody's are good quality, with a good bite of Tabasco and horseradish (I prefer that!) and the mimosas are bubbly forward (they're not skimping you with mostly OJ). The food prices for brunch aren't crazy either. Selection is a bit limited, but seeing as this is a pub/tavern, I think they have a pretty good mix. Overall, would absolutely recommend. If you have a big group, have some common sense and book a reservation, but likely able to do walk-ins for small groups, couples, or singles easily. This is a great option for laid back vibes in HK.
