The food was FIRE WE GOT TWO HOTDOGS, and burger, and two order of fries with a fresh squeezed lemonade! The hotdogs were 1000000/10 The fries were like Wendy fries and McDonald's fries but wayyyyyy better! The burger was like a 8.5/10 could have used more seasoning! And the lemonade was very very fresh JUST GO AND TRY THE PLACE OUT!!

After hitting the drive thru a bunch over the years, I finally dined inside for the first time ever. Aside from them having a drive thru or ordering at the counter and the service being super quick, this place is notches above any other fast food you're used to. The whole dining room and bathrooms were super clean and the food was even better because it didn't take the ride back to my house with me and I ate it fresh at one of their booths. We were bummed that they were out of pulled pork at 7pm on a Saturday night, but it happens and we mixed it up with some different sandwiches. I love the burger here and I think the bologna is my second favorite. It's thick cut with mustard, pickles, and onions... definitely a must try on your next visit.

Went in for a quick bite while on shift right as they opened. Very tasty, I got the double cheeseburger & fries. They are Smashburger style and will make a mess lol. Menu items are kinda at a higher price but atleast you are getting value for your money. The burger was huge, more meat than bread and very well seasoned. Fries are shoe string style, not too salty but not bland. The employees all seem friendly and the service was fast. The only down fall is every menu item is separate so it can rack up in price. It wont be every week, but ill definitely be back!

Stopped in for a quick bite while shopping and they did not disappoint! The food is always hot and fresh and we knew we could count on a great meal. Consistently delicious!

Pleasantly surprised. I hadn't gone here yet because I assumed the burgers would be super greasy. But it actually wasn't! It was delicious with a great smoky flavor and not much grease at all. Very fast service and super affordable. The atmosphere is laid-back and diner style. The music was louder than it needed to be to have a conversation with anyone not right next to you (we were a larger group) but otherwise a great experience.

This was my first time visiting. I've passed by several times i'm so glad that I popped in. I love a good chili cheese, hot dog and this was really good. Very classic. I love the taste of the chili and the fries are really good too and the vanilla milkshake was a nice touch, thick, but not too thick not overly sweet. This was a nice little lunch date with my daughter.

We went to lunch here on a Sunday right after they opened. The cashier was very friendly and quickly took our order. We sat in a comfy booth and were surprised when our food came out not long after sitting down. It was brought out by two employees, one of whom was the manager. They were both very friendly and asked if we needed anything else. I thought the burger was really good. Everything was hot and fresh. Fries were yummy and so was the milkshake. I would definitely come here again because I thought the food was delish and very reasonably priced. Bonus points for having their own parking lot too!

My boyfriend and I were hungry after a wedding nearby and wanted something quick. I ordered the pulled pork burger with fries. The burger was just as expected and I liked the pulled pork that was slathered on top. The service was fast and friendly. Give it a try!

Surprised by this fast food restaurant. For those from NY, I would describe it as a cross between a Friendly's atmosphere and a shake shack type menu for their burgers. Just stopped by for a quick bite on way to airport at end of trip. The attitude going in was low expectations like a McDonald's but the taste and quality once we tried the food was pleasantly upgraded.

Oh my Gosh, I just ate one of the best hamburgers I have tasted in a longtime. It reminded me of the old mom and pops hamburger joints back in the 70's. Very flavorful, the cook on it was perfection. They offer multiple toppings for your burger, make it your way. The strawberry milkshake was very tasty. This price point is a little bit on the higher end. But everything is expensive these days. They do offer deliver service via Uber Eatz. Overall was very pleased.

Hugh-Baby's is a perfect place for a burger, fries and a milkshake. I ordered the double cheeseburger with added bacon, that included Double Beef patties, Double Cheese, , Pickles, Lettuce, Onion, Tomato, Comeback Sauce. The burger had a great char and was dripping with yummy burger grease. The wife got and loved the Shroom and Swiss burger, with Swiss Cheese, Smoked Mushrooms, Yellow Mustard, Mayo with added bacon. I took a bite of hers and preferred the my cheese over the Swiss on her burger. We both loved the way the burgers came wrapped, making it easier and less messy to eat We both got an order of crispy shoestring like fries, that tasted freshly cut and not frozen. We both also ordered a handmade strawberry milk shake. The shake had nice chunks of fresh berries in It, which just added to the fresh made experience. Overall, a great meal

The meat is well seasoned and they don't skimp you on the toppings. The service was really friendly also. The menus didn't offer an explanation of what everything was, so I had to ask. They have lots of sauces to choose from for your burger, so that's fun. I also think it's slightly pricey for getting just a burger with no fries, but maybe that's just me. I'll be back though, it was delicious!

If you're getting food, definitely try the blistered green beans, poutine, and the farmer's salad (which is like a Cobb salad/bowl, it's amazing) *but* my all-time fave is the fried chicken sandwich - it's honestly one of the best l've ever had in Charleston. Also, this place is huge so they were able to accommodate my friend's post-wedding party (about 20 people) at the last minute and we had a blast. Everywhere else we tried to go either didn't have the space for us or were closing so it totally made our night! We just made sure to call ahead to check and they were more than happy to have us - the bride was happy so you know it was good :) Bottom line, the Peacock is a local gem hidden in plain sight on East Bay and, as a local, it's become one of my top go-to's in Charleston. You can't beat the prices (seriously), ambience, quality, and awesome staff. They also have live music every week so they know how to keep it classy and lively at the same time. The food at the surrounding tables looked equally incredible; I'd especially recommend the cheese plate and the tuna. As a bonus, there's a nightclub on the second floor that gets lively on weekends, so the fun doesn't have to stop after dinner. This time around I was dining with friends, which meant we got to order a whole bunch of dishes - a foodie's dream. We started with the Hunter Cattle Beef Tartare, topped with shoestring potatoes, smoked cheddar, and egg yolk jam. It was rich, flavorful, and while the presentation looked a bit like dog food, it was otherwise the perfect way to kick off the meal. For the table, we also shared the Roasted Carrots, served with chamomile honey, labneh, puffed rice, candied peanuts, and an olive crumble. I know, carrots aren't always a "must-order," but trust me - they were fantastic. We also couldn't pass up the Hearth-Baked Skillet Cornbread with Broadbent bacon crumble mixed throughout. Southern comfort food!!! For my entree, I ordered the Blueberry & Corn Salad, which was anything but an ordinary salad. Between the BBQ pecans, ricotta salata, bacon fat honey mustard, and fresh seasonal ingredients, every bite was packed with flavor. One friend ordered the Yellowfin Tuna Crudo with compressed cantaloupe, marigold, and leche de tigre. It was bright, refreshing, and beautifully plated. Our other friend opted for the South Carolina Golden Tilefish, served with Kindlewood Farms summer squash and serrano, and it, too, was a hit. For drinks, one friend enjoyed a glass of wine while I ordered the Dragoon Punch. I'll admit, I was a little disappointed to learn my beloved Primrose Path was no longer on the menu. I even asked if they could make one, but unfortunately they were missing one of the ingredients. No worries, the Dragoon Punch was delicious and a worthy replacement. Our server, Tal H., was outstanding. He was knowledgeable, informative, and guided us through the ever-changing menu with ease. Even though the restaurant was busy, we never felt rushed. The scallops and pork chop were some of the best we've had. The only slightly disappointing dish was the corn bread which was on the more dry side, however the collards more than made up for it. The only downside to this restaurant were the flies, I felt like I was battling both large and fruit flies my entire meal. There were so many. Everyone just fits in, no matter if you're the black sheep! Seating is a little limited, but worth the wait. I guess the first person I ran into was a manager, he introduced himself, (legit, "Hi my name is Bryan" and shook my hand!) (Post Script, the handshake is pervasive here, literally both bartenders were introduced to me and both came up and shook my hand.) I had checked this place out from other Yelp reviews and already knew I wanted the Fish and Chips, so after my beer order, I was shocked and awed that without asking, he brought the Malt Vinegar! You know it's gonna be the bomb already! The fish arrived very quickly! Bruh...this fish was legit. A large solo iceberg of fried perfection crested upon a wave of fresh made "chips " and they were clearly fresh made, not the frozen variety. The beer batter on this fish was so good I was in heaven. I thought it might be heavy and greasy, and yet somehow it held only flavor, crunch, and absorbed my Malt Vinegar to perfection. This place is packed with regulars and it clearly seems to attract other service industries personnel. All good signs of a good time! This may have been my first visit, but won't be my last!
