Whoever came up with the idea of putting ice cream and a fresh concha together deserves a raise. It's one of those desserts that makes you say, "I'll save half for later," and then somehow the cup is empty before you finish that sentence. The concha was soft and fresh, the ice cream was creamy, and every bite somehow got better than the last. I honestly don't know if this is dessert or a personality test because if you share it, you're a better person than I am. Five stars. My only complaint is that now every other dessert has to compete with this, and that's just not fair.

We decided to pick up a couple of loaves of bread. We got one sourdough and one cinnamon brioche. We tried them both this morning. We made French toast with the brioche and made sourdough toast with butter and jam. Both were excellent. We were only going to buy the loaf of sourdough but the guy helping us told us it was buy one, get one free so we choose the brioche. What a deal! We don't know if this is their regular deal or it was for the holiday or what but we were thrilled. We don't live in OC but we're not too far so we can come visit our friends and pick up more bread when whenever we want. So happy we tried the bread. If you live in OC and want delicious bread I suggest you try them.

On a recent visit, I decided to try their new Pineapple Express. It was a hot day, and I was in the mood for something fruity and refreshing without any caffeine. It was decent - light and refreshing, though it didn't quite stand out as much as their coffee drinks for me. Overall, this is still one of my favorite bakeries and coffee spots. Between the delicious pastries, solid drinks, and cozy atmosphere, it's a place I find myself returning to again and again.
