Customer service was great. I asked for a panini with salami and they accommodated me. Parking was easy and the place was clean. With my salami and mesquite bbq chips the total came out to $10 plus some change. I took my order to go and left with my sandwich very quickly. Unfortunately I had to drive 15 minutes before eating my meal and sadly by that time it was soggy :/ i didnt get any mayo or mustard so I guess the heat of the salami and cheese made the bread fall apart. Boo. If I ever return I would order something on their menu instead of customizing my own. The Harvarti panini was simply scrumptious. The sandwich options cost anywhere between $7-$8. Each of the sandwiches comes either with a small cup of potato or macaroni salad.The potato chip options are even super delicious. And to top it off, the owners are very amiable and easy-going. The only downside is that there aren't too many chairs to eat, but since the restaurant is tucked away in a small plaza, there doesn't seem to be many people. read more

This place has freindlty people working there, and thier food is decent. I got the italian sandwich there today, and it was pretty good. I was pleasantly surprised that this place is a Kings fan location. I was disappointed though, to find out that their potato salad and macaroni salad come out of store bought containers. IMO a deli should be offering "home made" sides, and not store bought. Especially when they have competition a block away that makes everything (bread included) in house. My friends and I stopped in to this deli on our way out of town after reading the great yelp reviews. I got a turkey sandwich that was supposed to be a panini, but it seemed to be a regular sandwich with just toasted bread. It was tasty, but not really a panini. I should also note that their tuna melt sandwiches are good, but made with canned tuna. Great lunch spot with super friendly employees. Sandwiches were a bit pricey ($32 for 3) and unfortunately they do not offer half sandwiches. We tried the Hot Italian, the Veggie & the Turkey Havarti panini. Plenty of fresh ingredients & a small side of potato salad or macaroni salad included with each sandwich were appreciated. I saw Hugo's Deli on Yelp, or else I'd never have found it. It's tucked away in a mini mall, and is almost impossible to see from Torrance Blvd or Madrona. I decided to give Hugo's a try. Since the reviews said the place was small, I thought there might be lunch rush. I order the italian sandwich it was good not chain type sandwich. It came with potato salad it was good. If you don't like this place, you have problems lol (just kidding - sort of). Hugo himself is a wonderful person and his sandwiches are to die for. My personal favorites are the turkey havarti panini, the regular turkey panini, and the grilled cheese! Side note: you can add any meat for $2.49 on the grilled cheese. (I add tri-tip to mine.) The order was on time but missing the chocolate chip cookie that I paid for. Also, none of the customizations (ex: add pickles or no mayo) were included on my sandwiches. The portions are also on the small side, and the cost was a little more expensive than other sandwich places in the area. 50.10 for four items. Overall the taste of the sandwiches were just ok. I think if you're considering supporting a local business and are cool with compromising on some of the taste that you'd get a somewhere like mendocino farms (which is the same price), then go for it. This isn't a basic sandwich shop. All the ingredients taste fresh which is key in a sandwich. The breads are really soft. We had the Turkey Havarti panini and the "That's a meatball sandwich." I walked in at noon today and the small place only had a couple customers already enjoying their food. I glanced over the menu and selected the Infinity Wrap. Very hard to find this variety. My go to is always The Infinity Wrap. Spicy chicken breast with basil pesto, chipotle aioli, spinach, jalapenos and provolone. Satisfaction in every bit. It's hard to screw up an Italian sub, but it's even more difficult to make one stand out. Hugo's is a small mom and pop style deli stuck in the middle of a strip mall. Walk in and you'll be greeted with smiles and hellos from all the employees behind the counter. You can tell they're very proud of their shop and the food they put out. Without asking for anything, the register lady offered some help with the menu and gave her recommendations for the day. I'm an Italian sub all day, everyday person. Theirs was fantastic. Good portion of meats, the bread was soft and the dressing was perfect. I only got cheese in about half my bites but those bites were satisfying! We also got the Infinity Wrap (slices chicken with a pesto sauce and havarti cheese). And without hesitation, I'd go straight for the infinity wrap next time. The pesto sauce was phenomenal! The chicken could have been real chicken breast but the sliced meat still had a freshness to it. Reason for taking one start away: 1) the potato salad was just average 2) need outdoor seating. Even a couple two person tables out front would bring a perfect 5 rating (at least for a deli). It was 75 degrees and sunny outside and we were forced to devour our sandwiches inside. read more
