Love the pristine mountains and sceneries of the area! My wife and I travel quite frequently and we rarely come across extreme Ignorance and Arrogance like this place. We visited this establishment for a "Mongolian" style food. The waitress was so sweet and kind. However, the grill master and his lady comrade, Horrible!!! After selecting our preferred ingredients for our bowls, we approached the cocky Iron grill master's station to cook our food. He chose to ignore my wife and I by turning his back on us without saying anything. He picked up both bowls and started mixing them together without even asking how to prepare them. We mentioned something to him about the bowls being two seperate entrées. He responded: What do you want me to do, split it in half? This is after mixing everything up already. Btw, my wife's bowl had beef in it and I cannot do beef, due to my allergic condition. His lady comrade, came to his rescue and suggested us to start two new bowls. No apologies whatsoever from the Manager, grill master, and lady comrade. Except from the Sweet waitress who served us. May God bless her abundantly! I enjoyed the breath taking beauty of the mountains but the PREJUDICISM I had encountered, overshadowed our great experience. We will Never Ever visit this establishment again. PERIOD! read more

Love love love this place! Pad Thai noodles? Green curry sauce? Pineapple? Tons of meat and veggies? Vegetarian? Gluten intolerant? Only eat meat? Go have at it! You can make millions of different dishes with all the ingredients and sauces they have. Food is delicious and even though the staff seems very very young, they were all awesome. The price is definitely right for all you eat - $12.99 a person and it includes salad/soup and rice. My parents recently moved up to Kalispell. When I came up to visit, they said they wanted to take me out for Mongolian BBQ, since we used to do that as a family when we lived in Southern California. I'll be honest, I wasn't expecting much. I've eaten at some of the best spots in L.A., so what could Montana offer me in terms of Mongolian BBQ? My apologies to the state of Montana. You have the best Mongolian BBQ that I've ever had. Since we were going there at 2pm on a Wednesday, I didn't expect as many options as they had. There were almost a dozen protien options, 3 different traditional noodles, zucchini noodles and rice, just in case you wanted fried rice. There were tons of vegetables, and at least a dozen sauces. If you can't create a combination you like, stay away from me. I don't need that kind of negativity in my life! LOL. The staff was also on point. The servers were friendly, and so was the young man working the grill. Kudos to the Manager. My only gripe is that they don't have a location in my home town. I'm going to have a hard time eating at my local spot now. I don't even know if I'll be able to look them in the eyes, now that I've found someone better. I'll be back. read more

This place was great. If you want good food and you want it hot and you want it fast, then this is perfect. You get to pick all the ingredients you want so if you get cilantro in your food it's your own fault! They cook it on the griddle and serve it up hot. You get a soup or salad and they seemed ok, but I stuffed myself do I wasn't up for either nor dessert. You also get brown or white rice with your meal. Christy was our sever and she was fantastic. Not from the area and was looking for an Asian restaurant. Stumbled on to HuHot which is right across from Panda Express. So I sat in my car thinking, do I go with what I know, or do I explore the unexplored? Go where few have gone before.... Walked in HuHot and was greeted with a smile and asked where I would like to sit. I requested a window booth even though I was all alone. I was asked if I had been before, I told them I have not. Waiter proceeded to give me the run down and I quote "we aren't like your ordinary restaurant, we do an all you can eat buffet style" which pretty much had me sold. I asked him where do I go and I'll figure out the rest. However before he let me go on my daunting but nevertheless exciting adventure to explore the menu, I was politely asked if I would like a drink other than water. I requested coke. On to the the task at hand! I hungrily stalked the buffet as i got closer. I saw they had a few different types of protein, chicken, beef, pork, and Asian sausage. Now I knew the beast I was dealing with was not all that exotic, as we were missing shrimp, and some other types of seafood. However, I dared on. I found they have yakisoba, chow mein, and pad Thai noodles to stir fry. Then toppings and vegetables and pineapples, AND eggs. Amazing! Never had egg with Mongolian grill before. This was a solid selection, especially in Montana. Next, and here is where I was amazed, the sauces. And, HuHot recommends 5 ladles of it! So exciting!!! I went with the chef special x2, hot chili oil, sesame oil, and generals sauce, nice and spicy. I threw my two bowls of meats and vegetables onto the counter and them boys start cooking! The cool did a great job throwing my egg in the air catching it with his iron and breaking it perfectly into the grill. Cooked nice and right. Went back to my seat to find an overly large coke () and I got down to it. 4 stars for everything great, -1 star because no shrimp in selection. Stopped here on the last day of our trip to GNP for lunch. This place is absolutely amazing. I am a big fan of genghis grill chain back in texas, but never found a mongolian grill meeting those standards in seattle (where i live currently) or boston. The choice of sauces was good, the ambience of the place was very good, the cook needs a special shoutout for being so energetic and lively with all the preparations. Would have liked if had an option to cook in the fried rice too along with noodles, but thats super minor. Would definitely stop by again when in MT. read more

It seems I'm on a constant quest in Montana to find delicious Asian food. I wanted to like HuHot, I really did. The first time I went there, a Filipino friend took me, and I just copied everything that she did. Everything was a magically delicious experience that has unfortunately never repeated itself. The three or four other times I've gone there has always been with my family. While watching the guys at the wok is really a wow moment, I still feel like I'm a really poor choice to be my own cook. I'm not sure if I'm doing the sauces wrong, or combining my portions of meat and vegetables incorrectly, but I always come out a little disappointed. What's the point of having mounds of food if it doesn't really taste that good, and the whole plate is all the same taste because of the sauce? Take that unsavory saucey mound aspect to the third or fourth power by struggling with your kid through the long lines of hungry crowds that are there sometimes. You either get to go through twice, once for you and once for your kid or... you get covered with half your food as you try to juggle both in one trip. All this hassle for the LOVELY reward of hearing them wail that they don't like how their meal tastes. Mom tries it, then Dad tries it, and both of you discover that neither of you like it either. The final cherry on top this frustration sundae is the free bowl of rice they serve for a group of people like our family. The portion is so SMALL. Honestly, it looks to us like a single-serving sized cereal bowl. Plus, because you usually have to wait half your meal for the server to finally get the rice to you, you hesitate to ask for another bowl so everyone can have more than a spoonful. I also struggled at HuHot during my gluten-free, grain-free, dairy-free keto stage. I appreciate that they try to separate things out at the wok... but I still felt like despite being given the freedom to choose more of what went on my plate, eating that way was still too hard to do at HuHot I don't know... maybe HuHot is just for single young hipsters, retirees, slick professionals and is not really a family place. Or maybe all the members of my family are just bad cooks. Ultimately, the proof is in the pudding: when we're in Kalispell and I ask my kids if they want to go to HuHot or Asian Buffet, they always choose the latter. read more

I would have given this place 4/5 stars but they took out an essential buffet item while not changing their price accordingly. The wife and I like to go there on Sundays after church. They always had shrimp on their buffet during lunch on Sundays at no extra cost. They have recently pulled it off the lunch line now and made it exclusively for dinner; price unchanging. Without the shrimp the seafood aspect is lost; what's left is cheap tilapia chunks and Surimi (imitation crab meat). Who wants to fill up on that stuff? Also, there half-cooked white rice on the buffet line doesn't ever get cooked all the way after leaving the flat top. It just doesn't work...still has a slight crunch to it. Finally, I've never seen a place that offers so many non-alcoholic beverages. They must have like 100 different drinks to choose from; that's a little ridiculous. How about incorporating that level of variety into your lunch line guys? Final thoughts: Customer service is good...Doorway greetings and the servers always touch back with tables once (which is the standard). But I'm not going back there unless they up the variety in the seafood selection for lunch. It suck now. read more

It's just like any other all you can eat, Mongolian restaurant. You place your raw veggies and meats on your plate, ladle on your favorite sauces, then take it to the cook who puts it on a huge cooking surface and cooks it for you. After you consume that, you go back and do it again. Like I said, just like all the others. If you are unfamiliar with Mongolian style grills, then it will be a treat for you. Funny thing though, no matter what combo of veggies, meats or sauce I get, it always seems to taste just as the last time I came. I feel, for the quality, that it's a bit over priced. I usually fill up on one serving, so the fact that it's all you can eat doesn't really benefit me, but if you're lumber jack, or some growing high school boy, I imagine food is food to you and all you can eat makes it even better. When we arrived, they had no problem sitting us, and even though they closed at 9pm we probably did not leave until a little after ten. The menu is fun and completely do-it-yourself. Want a full plate of beef with teriyaki sauce all over? It's yours. Add a few veggies if you have to please the parents - but its all cooked right in front of you on a Hibachi-like grill. Now we did get in at 8:30, so we didn't have to wait and could fill up over and over past 9pm with almost no one there, but in talking with the chefs it does seem it can back up out the door during prime meal times. So if you're looking for a quick eat, this probably isn't the place unless you're eating at one of the off hours of the day.
