I believe this is the only Mongolian Grill in the Flathead Valley. I have definitely been to worse ones in other cities, but I have also been to better. Selections for meat and veggies here are just okay. Noodles also seem to be very popular as an add in. On the day I went, you could choose chicken, beef, pork, "krab", or tofu as your protein. The veggie selection was a a bit limited. They had a good selection of sauces and oils, but you need to make sure to stir them or you will wonder where the flavor went. What they do not have here is dried spices (black pepper, garlic powder, ginger, season salt, curry, etc). This means you kind of have to drown your dish in order to get flavor to it. They do not offer eggs either. They do give you a choice of rice and/or tortillas with your food. It is not bad, and I would eat here again, but the experience is not that memorable. read more

Not bad but not amazing. Have had better but selection was pretty good and decent for Montana. Did get a tummy ache after but not sure if it was from here. They could be a bit more clean and organized where the sauces and food are kept. The cook was AWFUL. did not mix up my ingredients and sauces, just let it sit on the grill then put it on my plate. What a joke. There was plastic gloves all over the floor, food and sauce literally covering the counter tops, and the employees seemed like they couldn't care less. Spotted this place while driving through Kalispell. Stopped in. Place was full, but I was seated immediately. Ordered a local beer and headed to the item buffet. Loaded up with a mound of pork and broccoli with chili sauce drenched over it all. Chefs are young and were having a great time grilling everyone's food. My dinner was very good. Are you kidding.. This place would be a lot better if the employee s didn't think they are bad assess. The guys on the grill spend 90% of their time flipping, spanking, and dropping their spatulas. I wouldn't have to add 10 ladle fulls of sauce if they stirred it. They really like to spank their spatulas. I came to eat. It's kinda dumb. Foods ok. I'd get more but I can't bare to watch. I just upgraded to 3 stars cause the kids liked it and the people are fun to laugh at Up dated again. Kids are older. Great way to get them to eat veggies. While this place is not my favorite, my husband loves it so I will go with the 4 stars! I tend to be more picky anyways, and it could have just been what we got when I went. I wasn't even interested in trying it the first time we went I was just going to try a bite of my husbands. But since it is per person, and you can get however much you want, they charged us for two people anyways so you might as well eat if you come with someone else. Otherwise, make sure that they don't ring you up if you are strictly there with other people who are eating. I was surprised at the limited amount of gluten free options they have for it being noodles and sauce! There is only one sauce that is gluten free and one noodle dish that is. I went with that and tried some of the seafood. It could have just been because I was limited to that variety, but this place just wasn't my favorite. We just had dinner here and I'm SOOO impressed! Dinner started out with a family of eight adults and two children. One adult has severe shellfish allergies. We let the cooks know and they cordoned off half the grill, cleaned it thoroughly, and then cooked her food in a quarantine situation. As dinner was winding down, the two kids both started having meltdowns. The staff was very attentive to getting us out of there quickly and did an amazing job. This place is incredible. The food is good (I like that you get to do your own meat), we cooked with a ton of options. The cooks are fun nice guys who appear to really enjoy their jobs. The cooks really make the experience as they are so good with kids and make this such a family friendly place to go. The rest of the staff is nice too and the location is big enough you never have to wait. Prices are fair and dress is casual. They also seem to do a lot for the community with diabetes research and such which is pretty cool. read more

This is nice because you can experiment with their sauces and ingredients and create different dishes every time you visit. This venue provides a good variety of ingredients you choose to have prepared on the central grill. Such a huge choice of sauces leaves the end result of flavour responsibility to the diner and not the restaurant. Too much sauce or too little, it's up to you. The service was enthusiastic, however, missed the mark by bringing the egg drop soup much too soon while we were up at the grill. By the time we got back to the table it was cool to cold - definitely not appealing or tasty. When our server did check back to see if we wanted anything else, we did request a refill of our beverage that never did appear before the bill was presented. Been going here since they opened, we are card carrying members and have always loved it until our last meal. Not sure what's going on, but the soda machine was broke down, there was a layer 1/4" thick of dust and Labrador sized dust bunnies on the lights, hood over the grill and the little sign that says, "tip the cook, hit the gong". There was only one cook during lunch rush (normally at least two) that was clearly not happy about it. There were two girls in front of us that were foreigners and did not understand how you are supposed to set your bowl(s) on the counter and move down to the other end to make room for others. The cook said to move down and make room and when they didn't, he glared at my wife and told her sternly to move. Since we were two people behind those two girls in front, there really was no reason to get all panty twisted at us. Very disappointed and hope they make some changes soon. read more

If you need food by the metric ton, go to HuHot. This might be the place to bring your cousin the football player. Otherwise, it is just ok food at a fairly high price - I think it's $10 for lunch and higher for dinner and on weekends. Good selection of veggies, meat, non-meat options, noodles (including gluten free rice noodles). Entertainment value: the guys who cook on the grill grunt "HuHot!" at intervals and bang their grill implements. You can get a healthy meal here (if you don't stuff yourself) and it probably beats a lot of other options in Kalispell. read more

I stumbled across this place when I was researching moving to Kalispell and hears nothing but good things so of course I had to try them out. It's your typical Mongolian BBQ place but with a ton more options and it's all you can eat. Sold. Right there. I'm a sucker for stuffing my face! They had three different types of noodles and many options for meat including beef, pork and chicken and some other not so common ones in typical Mongolian places. The serve yourself table also had many choices of vegetables and lots of sauces. You fill up your bowl (I grab 2, because I saw someone else do it and it makes me feel better to fill one with vegetables entirely) and walk it to the giant grill where someone is waiting with a smile to grab it and cook it for you. After a few they hand it to you on a plate and you go back to your table to mow it down. The quality is decent (except for the frozen meat chips, hence the 4 stars instead of 5) and i enjoyed it. This place was very clean and the staff was very very hospitable and nice. Even the back of the house that was stocking the table struck up a conversation and took a genuine interest to the fact on how our visit was. Here's a tip: bring cash with you to tip your cooks at the grill. They don't get part of the waitresses tips and I feel they do more than the waitresses at this kind of place. read more

Loved the food here. My wife and I went to this place for lunch twice during our vacation. You get to fill up your bowls with meats, chow, veggies and sauce to stir fry. My family and I took my stepfather here for his birthday and the manager David said that although they (the staff) did not offer any special birthday offers, he went above and beyond by decorating an extra special desert and even ran to the store to grab birthday candles! We were shocked to find a Mongolian place in Montana. Having said that, they were friendly and I thought it was good service. Unfortunately, all their meats tasted funny, so I just did all veggies with my noodles. My sister said one of the guys who was working the grill, kept dropping his spatulas on the floor and just picked them up and kept cooking. Ew...They also cleaned the grill as people's food were cooking. They clean by squirting water on the hot, carbon steel grill and scrape, so they splash and scrape all the gunk into the food cooking on the grill. EWWWWWWW......... read more

We usually eat here every time we come for 3br. This is a great all you can eat Mongolian style food stop. The reason for only 4 stars is are server this time was either hating her job or having a bad day! She didn't offer us the rice that was supposed to come with are meal. Every time I asked for something it was like I was putting her out! But the cook wow! My wife has an allergy to eggs. When she mentioned to cook, he preceded to wash then scrub the grilling iron with emory cloth then blocked her order from the others. He went above and beyond to keep people safe! Thank you! This place was packed! But the servers were right on it helping us to a table and getting us drinks and offering appetizers, which I find kinda silly at a Mongolian grill type restaurant. The meat a veggie supplies were filled on a regular basis and looked very fresh. They had several recipes for the several different types of grill food you might like. My only problem was there just wasn't much space between the glass and the sauce ingredients, I would keep spilling whatever I was pulling from the back into the ingredients in the front. We were happy with the ingredient and sauce options and the taste, but everybody in our party had prolonged stomach aches after eating here for the first time. When this happens to our entire family, I tend to blame the food. On top of that, as other reviewers have noted, the cooks spend more time slapping and flipping their spatulas than properly cooking your food. They do skateboard tricks with their spatulas while you watch your carefully chosen sauces evaporate on the grill without being mixed into your food. From the moment we walked in the service was extremely slow. The hostess seemed annoyed we wanted to be seated. All the empty tables were dirty and so she had to clean one before we could be seated. The waitress was prompt with the drink order and only pushed their deals a little hard. The food bars were a mess-- filthy, with lots of cross contamination. Thankfully nobody in our group had any allergies (I hope nobody else did, either). As one might expect, the line to get the food cooked was long, but the grill tenders were high energy and friendly (and the only reason this isn't a 1 Star review). Finally, we had to wait 15 minutes from receiving the check until the waitress came back to take our payment. Seriously, she just disappeared for 15 minutes! I get taking a break (if that's what she did) but get someone else to take payment! When she did finally come back, she didn't apologize for disappearing. In fact, she seemed annoyed we wanted some change back. If she had been prompt, we probably would've let her keep it all! read more

I eat here all the time. Why you ask? It's a buffet, need I say more? A wide range of ingredients to chose from. This is a hard restaurant to write a review for because if the meal is no good....it is because you put together a bad combination of ingredients and sauces and vice versa. You pick the ingredients and they grill it right in front of you, it could not be simpler. Customer service for me is great because the servers know me. Could be good or bad depending on how busy it is. Overall the food is good, the prices are reasonable and customer service is good. I recommend this restaurant. read more

Two words.. SHRIMP ADDICTION! Mon-Thurs, and all day Sunday they have all you can eat shrimp, in any way you want to cook it. Kids under 12 eat for .99 for each adult entree purchased, which is a pretty dang great deal since my daughter shares my addiction for the exoskeleton ecstasy. I do recommend coming early and making many trips instead of just one (two bowler), this way you can try many different mixes, sauces, styles and flavors without over eating. 2 pineapple cilantro, 2 lime, 2 black bean thai, 1 sherry and mangos add an amazing accent to any meal. :) read more

We stopped while passing through town. I like these grills because you get to pick what you like etc and they cook it for you....quickly. Lots of choices of foods and cooking oils to please everyone. Very friendly and prompt service is always a plus ! The food and oil areas are always somewhat messy because everyone drops stuff but they try to keep up as much as they can and it really doesn't mean the place is dirty because it was spotless inside. If the place is busy I do the " stack and smash" method and put the " noodle wig" over everything to hold it together till it gets grilled. My only complaint is at $13 a piece its way more than I can eat. I wish they offered a 1 bowl-1trip price for like $8-9. I left very full and it was good ! read more

Strike one against HuHot Mongolian Grill is that they use frozen meat instead of fresh. Strike two is that they tend to overcook their meat, leaving it somewhat dry. My first time through they just dumped out my ingredients and ignored them while my sauces evaporated away. I've never been to a Mongolian grill where the chefs didn't constantly attend to the food while it cooked. The hot & sour soup was tasty, but not heated enough. On the positive side, they have clear instructions on creating a flavor to your liking, and the flavors are good. I almost gave HuHot 2 stars (my waitress also did a poor job), but generously gave them 3 stars. read more
