After trying another brew pub in the same area that had mediocre beer and terrible service, we thought we would try humble sea as honestly, our day couldn't have gotten much worse. What an amazing place! We were greeted by a very friendly gentleman who ushered us to one of the outside tables in the shade, just as we wanted. In case you don't know, you order everything through a QR code or the website, and they bring you your food and drink. It's really prompt and the service is pleasant and friendly and they do come around several times to make sure you are not having problems with the app and that don't need anything else. For pub food the food is spectacular - the chicken sandwich was huge with fresh chicken, sautéed onions, a bit of bacon bits and a fresh brioche roll. It is one of the best chicken sandwiches I have had in a long time. I'm not a big fan of tater tots, but these were good - I find tater tots often to be way too greasy, but these were just right and nice and spicy. The cauliflower hummus was a nice surprise with fresh toasty bread and an assortment of vegetables. I didn't think I would love it, but I did. And the beer! We had the rye IPA and the passionfruit mai tai and they were both excellent. I would give the Rye a bit of an edge over the mai tai but not much. Best part is you can get 5, , 12 or 16 ounces so you can mix and match or have a flight of beer if you choose. The place is spotless and plenty of room indoors and out. I've been wanting to try this place for awhile, so I came on a warm Thursday evening with friends. It's conveniently near Pacifica Beach, so it would definitely be more crowded on a nice sunny day. There's plenty of outdoor and indoor seating, depending on preference. We chose to sit indoors and order from the menu on a QR code. There were many draft selections, but there weren't a lot of options for their ciders and hard kombuchas. The food selection was pretty decent. I tried the Chicken Wings and Orange Creamsicle Hard Kombucha. The chicken wings were initially spicy because of the jalapeño marinate and hot mustard glaze, but the spice was cancelled out by their homemade ranch sauce provided. It was also sweet & tangy. The hard kombucha tasted like a sparkling orange juice. I tried the Strawberry Watermelon Cider from a friend, and it tasted like Sour Patch Watermelon. Both were good for drinks that aren't bitter but I wish they offered a few more options. The drinks came out a few minutes after we placed our order, but the food took awhile to come out. This place was nice to stumble on after an nice walk along the coast. Great beer selection. Wasn't hungry when we got there so I didn't really see the menu. I did ask for dessert and there wasn't really an option for that. But overall, there was a decent amount of options, definitely heavy on the hops with a lot of the beers but I did enjoy my variety of selections. TL;DR: Go for the beer, stay for the tots. Cute space in the middle of strange strip mall, it is sandwiched between a Grocery Outlet and an OrangeTheory. They have both indoor and outdoor spaces, I did notice that dogs and children were mostly sitting outside. Service was through a QR code, the kitchen was pretty backed up with every table ordering at least one item but they were not too slow. Their menu was mainly beer (variations of IPAs and a few other options), with one fruited sour and a few wines on tap. I liked my fruited sour (Neon Pineapple) and even one of the IPAs I tried (I'm not big on beer in general). Definitely explains their popularity since everything was pretty good! However, I would definitely recommend the tots. We got a single order, but you can also get them with a burger or fish & tots. The fish & tots came with a mountain of these little potato nuggets so if that's your jam, it seems like a good platter to share. The seasoned salt on the tots can be left off if that's your preference, it seemed heavy on the cayenne and paprika and got a bit much for me after a while. They were super crispy, not too greasy, and a delicious accompaniment to the drinks. They seem to use fancy ketchup (it didn't really taste like Heinz), but I couldn't taste the hops in the hops aioli. I hadn't realized before arriving that Humble Sea has multiple locations (Pacifica, Santa Cruz, Alameda, etc). This place gets hopping and parking is at a premium. Its located in a strip mall at the southern end of town. The food is a notch above. Great beer & outside seating. Came today Wednesday 12/3/2025 at 2:00 pm. Place was empty.... Bartender ignored me twice talking only to one man at the bar and would not acknowledge me as I stood there waiting forever to ask a question... then another male customer came in and he addressed him first then took his time again to acknowledge me last. Went to Humble Sea when I was in the Pacifica area to see the superbloom. This was a busy plaza with other stores but we were able to snag parking and head on over. This is a cute spot and really good for trying out some beer. We ended up waiting for around 15 minutes and ended up ordering in the iPad: * chicken sandwich with tator tots - this was delicious and they cut it in half for us which was really nice * beer - I don't remember which ones we got but I love that you can get them in smaller sizes so you can try more variety because they have so many options here! I've followed along with Humble Seas's journey and expansion for a while so I was thrilled to be in the area and get to visit the Pacifica taproom! Couldn't remember whether or not it had food so it was a very pleasantly surprise when I read the words "Kitchen" on their sign. Came by on a beautiful fall Sunday afternoon, outside seating was full, a few tables and some bar seating were available inside. We opted to sit at the bar and get a drink while we waited for an outside table. Though they don't have designated flights, they do have tasters available of each beer so you can build your own, which we ended up doing. They also let us sample a beer before ordering it (THANK YOU!) After we got our flights and paid at the bar, our outdoor table was ready. It was a pretty large picnic table in a covered sort of cubicle section with one other table. Ordered food from the QR code on the table and paid there as well. Went with the smash burger that came with tots. Both were good but the tots were the star of the show for sure. Smash burger was pretty expensive compared to ones I've seen/had at other breweries, but it was good enough that it wouldn't stop me from getting it again if I went back and needed food. Beer review: Clownfish circus- hazy with some pronounced citrus notes, enjoyed and would have again Nautical tattoos- very typical hazy, nothing too special about it, probably wouldn't get it again Dawns first flight- really sour and tart, loved the flavor, pretty low alcohol content Choco pecan drip- first taste "wow this is heavenly", by about the 5th sip the sweetness was a little too overpowering and I had to down it. Humble Sea brewing is one of my favorite breweries in the bay. The Penelope pills. Here is a crusher very crispy boy. One of the cleanest Pilsner here and is very enjoyable. Should be the beer of the summer. I had a West Coast IPA and that was easy and delicious as well. I enjoyed all the beers here and they have a great variety on tap. I got an order of tater tots which is nice and very crispy and had a good seasoning on it. The only issue was that it was on the pricey side for eight dollars. Staff were all friendly and knowledgeable about the beers. They have a nice outdoor area as well. It would definitely recommend the spot and be back. read more

A top spot here in Pacifica! I docked it a star because they only really serve food on the weekends. And the weekends are when this place gets busy too. During the weekdays the menu is pretty limited so you can't have food while you drink then. They do have sides you can order but can't get the entree items like the chicken sandwich or burger. The beer itself is great, I like the brews here. Honestly I'd call this more of a brewery than Half Moon Bay brewery. Service was alright, when we came their ordering system was down (the QR codes you scan on the tables to order) so everyone had to go in and order at the bar which made it hard because there wasn't really a line going, people were just flagging down the bartenders. There was a road block on Highway 1 on the way to Half Moon Bay. No announcement or news on status and cars lined back so we decided to pull over and sit out with hopes the road would clear. This brewery was on the nearby shopping center. Time to check it out. I wish I could drink but I was the designated driver. So sitting it out meant, non alcoholic beverages and light bites. We ordered bottled tea, Diet Coke with the battered fish and toters. The drinks came immediately after posting online. Shortly the food came. The fish and toters were the bomb. They hit and crispy the way they should be. It became crowd quickly for a late rainy Saturday afternoon. We soon developed a back up plan to resume our journey to half moon bay. I know this doesn't get said enough, Pacifica doesn't get enough love! Lots of hidden gems can be found in this city, and Humble Sea is one of them. They opened in July 2021, and I've driven by so many times on my way to Devil's Slide trail, and before my hike, I decided to grab brews and a bite. There was a couple seats at the bar, and was greeted by Robert, who exemplified amazing customer service in a multitude of ways. I asked for a recommendation, he said go for the fish and chips, and I went with that. It comes with 3 medium/large pieces of battered and deep fried fish and a generous amount of tator tots. On side the side you also get a grilled lemon to squeeze over the fish and this citrus hop aioli which was HELLA GOOD. Dipped everything in that sauce, it was one of the best aiolis i've had in a long time. For $21, I definitely think another piece of fish would be nice, but that's my big appetite talking. For beer, Humble Sea makes delicious and diverse beer, so it really is based off your preference. I got the super pop (or something like that) and it was perfect for a warm day. So good, I had to order two! As mentioned earlier, Robert gave amazing customer service, even after another patron had yelled at him for virtually no reason at all. He stayed calm, cool, and collected the whole time and was still able to provide people at the bar amazing service. All of us sitting there were in shock of how mean this guy was, and it was nice to see the guy come back after his meal and apologize to Robert. It was a reminder, always treat your servers with respect! Working in the service industry pre-pandemic was tough, add all these new rules/regulations and changes, give the people who are serving you some empathy, kindness and gratitude! According to the staff, how busy they are is very weather dependent. If it's a clear, warm sunny day, it's not rare for there to be a 45+ minute wait. So be sure to factor that into your plans if you plan on coming on a beautiful and hot day. read more

Pacifica is one of my most favorite places in the Bay Area, not only for its beautiful scenery, but amazing places like this. We were lucky enough to score an amazing day and this place has an outdoor patio that's perfect for drinks with friends. The beer selections were amazing and even better was the double kook burger. Cooked perfectly with just a little pink, this burger had so much flavor I couldn't get enough. The caramelized onions, cheese, and toppings came together harmoniously in this unsurprisingly tasty burger. I was pleasantly surprised. To compliment the burger were these perfectly seasoned tater tots that actually had the perfect kick to them. So yummy. There was ample seating outside and somehow we found great parking which can be rare in such an epic area at the beach and on a sunny summer day.
