Would give a five but the delivery does take longer than usual however no huge complaints because the food makes up for it. Hot and sour soup - delicious! Tried at many nearby restaurants and this location has it just how I like it. Not watery, lots of tofu and pipping hot General tso chicken - as others mentioned they use white meat which is why it's a higher priced item on the menu. Taste wise it was sweet and barely spicy (which is great for my toddler she loves it!) and my husband likes it too which is surprising as he's a super picky eater Pad Thai chicken - only I liked this dish. Sprouts are cooked with it so that's a plus. It tastes more tomatoe-y than other places. The noodles are a little softer than other places. Peking duck - yes yes yes. after trying numerous local restaurants Peking duck, we've finally found our fix! At first we were upset thinking they forgot the sauce. We thought they gave us soy sauce because it was soooo watery but it just turned out their "hoisin" is on the thin side. Regardless we ate every last drop. I had a friend visiting from out of town last night and decided I'd bring take out over to her hotel for the two of us. I got on Yelp (of course) and searched to find a new Chinese place... I moved to the area in June and have tried several and have been less than impressed with them all. FINALLY. I found the one! The food was absolutely delicious, the restaurant was very clean, very friendly staff, and very affordable! I had called ahead and ordered the Chicken Fried Rice, Shrimp Fried Rice, and two egg rolls. It was hot and ready when I arrived. Completely uninspiring beef fried rice. I ordered beef fried rice for lunch to go, with extra beef and two egg rolls. The total came to $13.25. The egg rolls were pretty much flavorless and greasy. The fried rice too was unremarkable and lacked the extra beef that I paid for. I ate the food because it was carryout and did not discover its blandness until after returning to work. I eat here regularly because they have great vegan options! If you're vegan or veg, don't forget to ask about their veggie menu. My go-to lunch order is veggie sesame chicken. It comes with white or brown rice and a veggie spring roll. The chicken is great consistency, and the meal is always fresh and hot. The staff is so conscientious ensuring that I get everything veg. I've also enjoyed their Pad See Ew. Dinner menu can be a little pricey, and I wish they had their lunch specials on Sunday, too, but I'm a big fan of this place for being so accommodating and tasty. Come to this area on business often and have tried what seems to be just about every Chinese place in the Maryland DC area. This place was actually very good. Had vegetable dumplings, vegetable fried rice, and vegetable rolls. Crispy noodles were fake. Price was decent as most places in this area are too expensive. Just moved to the area and finding a Chinese spot was #1 on our list. We just happened to move around the corner fromt eh best one ever!!!! So far we have had the General Tso's Chicken, Orange Chicken, Singapore Noodles, Chicken Fried Rice, everything is good! The kitchen is open so you can see everything, it is very clean and everything is amazingly good! They only use white meat, even when I get the orange chicken it is not over breaded. Also they do not use those baby shrimp they use med-large shrimp. I wish they had actual egg rolls they have more of the spring roll. We eat there maybe once a week! They have a small area where you can sit and there is a tv as well but it is not a dine in resturant really I think there are about 8 tables. Dinner is from $9.50-10.50 a meal. Wasn't thrilled with the pan fried dumplings- seemed a touch burned. The two stars are also because the food was "not disgusting", so I'm just hoping I caught them on a off-night. Based on the reviews, I expected something great, but was overall disappointed. Both dishes, the General Tsos Chicken and the orange chicken tasted almost exactly the same. The only discernable difference was the red-colored flakes in the Tso. I ordered it Extra Spicy, it was shy of mild. The orange chicken was ordered medium spicy. It was not spicy at all. The pan fried dumpling skin was thin and of good texture, but the tasteless, and somehow knuckle or bone fragment filled meat, was... Well, you can probably get the point. Got the lemon chicken with fried rice delivered. Rice was pretty good but didn't have all the things that normally come In fried rice- it was just brown rice. But that's okay, it was still good. By far the worst experience in a very long time. I ordered food around 820 and called to check on it about 945 a reasonable time I believe to wait. When I got ahold of someone I get the run around, I dont have access to this, talk to this person. Then hanging up on me. But the biggest kicker is they wouldn't take my call after that due to caller Id so I called from another number and they answered no problem but the exact same thing. They took over $40 from me that I now have to contact my bank to get back and deal with this hassle. I've worked in the restaurant field and I understand it can be annoying to receive a call right before close because food isn't received but to go to this extent to ignore my calls and not give me any idea where my food is. I don't mean disgusting as in not properly cooked but just tasted terrible; nothing like I've had from Chinese delivery before. On the other hand their pork fried rice is delicious so I am confused on this restaurant. Their hot and sour soup is REPULSIVE I've never been more disgusted by the taste and consistency in my life.
