    Hot and sour soup

The hot and sour soup is amazing here Nice and spicy We often get the Mongolian beef and lately because we're going to lower carbs. We get the prawns and vegetables and either the basil eggplant or another eggplant dish, more mixed vegetables, or mu shu pork. When were splurging a little bit on the calories and fried stuff we will get the salt and pepper fish and last night. We had a little bit of fun trying the Peking spareribs! The people are very friendly and the service is great.

Hunan chef is a long standing neighborhood Chinese restaurant serving authentic delicious Hunan dishes. They recently were closed for a month due to repairs after a car hit and damaged the front entrance, but I am happy to say that they are now open again. Highly recommend their sesame pancake, their chow ma mein (seafood soup noodles), and their mushu. Very authentic and very tasty. FYI they are now using their side entrance instead of the original main entrance

    Salty Rice Roll (weekend only)

Chinese Breakfast, you say? Sweet soy milk and fried Chinese donut? I am so there! I've been looking for a new Chinese breakfast spot ever since Chef Wu's in Newark closed down earlier this year. It was just my luck that I found it right by one of my friend's! I got seated right away and after looking at their menu, I decided on getting the sweet soy milk, the sesame with braised beef, a fried Chinese donut and a savory rice roll. Definitely a lot of food but I enjoyed every bite and had leftovers to take home. The soy milk has sugar added on the bottom so make sure to give it a good stir before drinking. Or, if you don't want it to be too sweet, don't stir too much and don't drink the very bottom. The fried Chinese donut was on point; crispy golden fried and light. I enjoyed dipping this into my soy milk. The sesame pancake with braised beef as also very good. Some times they don't put enough sauce but this one was well don't. The sauce did drip out a bit but I didn't mind. The savory rice roll was also on point. Pieces of the fried Chinese donut and preserved vegetables helped to balance the ingredients. Plentiful parking, a good amount of tables, clean bathroom and attentive service. Definitely my new go to place on the weekends! I'll gladly drive the 40ish minutes to get there!

Salty rice roll and you tiao

Amazing spot - really enjoyed the weekend brunch. There's a huge menu of Chinese classics, and I love all the specialty items. Salty rice roll (饭团)- excellent, not too salty, perfect crunchy you tiao bits and picked veg with pork floss. Pumpkin cake - don't see this too often at restaurants, it seems deep fried, which gives it a nice crispy crust and soft chewy mochi wrapping. Red bean paste filling is not too sweet. Seafood tofu claypot - excellent flavor and tofu texture. Great portion and lots of tender seafood. Can't wait to come back to try more!!

    Three mushrooms

I came here for the savory rice roll which is only served on weekend brunch menu. Its a lot similar like the one I had growing up in Taiwan! My favorite dish is bean curd with pork. I can eat the whole bowl of rice just with this dish alone. This time I tried three mushrooms which is surprisingly good. Nothing compared to the flavor a Chinese wok created. I can't create this aroma at home. I guess I'll have to come here more often!

If I remember correctly, they get some of their seafood locally, from Pillar Point Harbor, by Half Moon Bay. Other fish come from farther afield but quality and cost control is reasonable given the fact that seafood is expensive. I've never been led astray. Order at the counter, find a seat, and food will be delivered to your table. Never had their pasta before. Finally tried their fettuccine. Instead of Alfredo sauce, substituted with butter sauce. Selected shrimp with crab. OMG! So good. Pasta was perfectly al dente. Hate mushy pasta. This pasta was fully cooked but still had texture. The butter sauce was generously studded with garlic. Shrimp were large and plump. Fully cooked but not rubbery at all. Next time, will skip the crab which disintegrated into the sauce. Go all shrimp or maybe try with fish. The fried clam strips were unnecessary. The fettuccine was enough of a meal by itself. In fact, was so full after the clams, took most of the fettuccine home. Even as leftovers, the shrimp and fettuccine was so delicious for dinner the next day. To cap it off, staff from the head chef to the cashier/server were so friendly and helpful. They genuinely seem happy to work here. Only 1 suggestion, they should add a few TVs for World Cup viewing.

Finally a decent fish and chips restaurant near San Ramon. Waited years for this place to open…read more I wouldn't go way out of my way to eat here but the prawn and chips and the fish tacos are definitely the winners. Get some extra tartar and cocktail sauce and it is a great meal. It isn't much of a true fish market and I can't say the lobster roll is better than Cousins food truck, but if you go here, definitely grab some prawn or fish and chips and get a taco and it is a perfect seafood combo. You won't be disappointed.

Choosing Elia to host our celebration was one of the best decisions we made, and we truly couldn't have imagined a more beautiful place to celebrate our love. From the very beginning, Mehmet the owner, Zubi and the entire staff at Elia Pleasanton treated us with so much kindness, warmth, and generosity. Every detail was handled with care, and throughout the evening we felt genuinely supported. The level of hospitality your team provided made us feel like family, and it didn't go unnoticed by our guests. The food was absolutely incredible. We've dined at Elia many times before, so we already knew how amazing the food was, and our guests confirmed it. Everyone couldn't stop talking about how delicious everything was, and so many complimented the beautiful atmosphere and exceptional service. One of the things that made the evening so special was how willing your team was to personalize every detail. From printing our personalized menus to creating our signature His & Hers cocktails, every touch made the reception feel uniquely ours. The DJ was exceptional and kept the energy going all night. Karaoke was such a fun addition and had everyone laughing, singing, and making unforgettable memories together. Everything exceeded our expectations. The ambiance, the attention to detail, and the professionalism of your entire team made our reception everything we had hoped it would be and more. You created an experience that our family and friends are still talking about, and we couldn't be more grateful. Thank you for helping create one of the happiest days of our lives. We can't wait to come back and enjoy another wonderful meal. Elia will always hold a special place in our hearts. With heartfelt appreciation, Nancy & Paul Rubio
