Added tip to my takeout order without my knowledge...
    Mabel H.

The 3 stars is an average of 5 stars for their food and 1 star for their service. It's unfortunate because my family and I really enjoy their menu offerings, but we will not be coming back to dine or order takeout. I ordered takeout yesterday, and as you can see on my receipt, I was charged $4 for the takeout containers and a $12.30 tip which I did not consent to. I did not notice these charges until today, and I wonder if they're expecting all takeout customers to not take a second glance at their receipts. $4 for takeout containers is obviously outrageous, but I will pay it if you give me advance notice or it's clearly posted somewhere near the register. When she tilted her screen for me to sign, I didn't reach the tip screen before she tilted it back to herself. I assume she tipped herself for me, which is oh so wonderful. I don't normally tip for takeout orders, but at least let me select it myself? Please beware of staff integrity at this restaurant and triple check your receipts after you pay.

Cleanliness is so important to me, and this place really impressed me! The entire restaurant, inside and out, feels clean, comfortable, and welcoming.

The soup base was honestly quite average, and it had a very strong taste of crushed pepper or white pepper powder. There was a noticeable slightly spicy sensation in the throat after drinking it. I haven't tried many places that pack the soup and noodles separately, but in this case, I actually felt the need to get home quickly and eat it because I was worried the noodles would absorb too much of the broth and lose their texture. One positive thing is that the noodles were still nicely chewy and had a good texture even after I got home. However, regarding the other dishes... I'll leave those comments aside. I also felt the price was a little on the expensive side, around $23 after tax. That said, considering the location and the plaza it's in, the pricing is still understandable. Overall, I'm glad I tried it, but it's probably a one-time experience for me.

I love the soup base here- a bit saltier than Cloudland in Fremont/Newark, but a lot more flavorful in my opinion. You can choose to have them prep it for you or put the ingredients in yourself. For the first time I think it's worth doing it yourself so you can take pics and get the full experience! I always order the original!!

The Most Delicious Rice Noodle Soup!

We recently visited CloudDish for the first time and it quickly became a family favorite. Whats great is there is something for everyone. My level of spicy is high where my children can't do much spice. The kids and I enjoyed the rice noodle soup. It's a fun interactive soup where you add 10 ingredients to the hot soup bowl from an ingredient plate palette. The rice noodles are high quality while the amount of food is generous. There is a fantastic story behind each Artisan Dish. This particular soup base takes 18 hours to mature the flavor. It's a number 1 favorite amongst pregnant mamas as it contains so many nutrients! The service was top notch! Great location too. I've included the photo of the delicious soup! Please note there was ample shrimp in it but we ate it before the photo. I highly recommend this restaurant if you're looking for high quality and unique dishes.

At first glance it is a fairly casual place, but it is very clean and the utensils are of high quality. I really enjoyed the soup that came out in a huge clay pot that kept the soup hot. Yunnan Traditional crossing-bridge rice noodles. The soup was very rich and flavorful. Service was excellent. We came out for another restaurant but it had a queue of over 3 hours, so we chose this place and were not disappointed! The plum juice was amazing in both presentation and taste. These folks are a great place and we will be back.

It's a little pricey for me since I'm from LA, but the food is very tasty. I would recommend the 过桥米线--it's much better than the other options. The flavor is slightly salty. Unfortunately, they don't have enough waiters, so the service is below average. When you try to call a waiter, they sometimes just ignore you.

I have been to this noodle place many times, their noodle soup is the best in the Bay area, always full of flavor, good service and clean environment 10/10!

Plus - An experience to have a hot noodle soup in a warmed stone bowl that looks like a wash basin. Minus - Ambience and table set up can be more welcoming. It was a bit chaotic in my opinion although the hall wasn't full. Huge portion

It delivers exactly what you'd expect from a no-frills noodle spot: clean flavors, hearty bowls, and quick service through self-serve phone ordering. Braised Pork Rice Noodles - The highlight of the meal. The broth is light but satisfying, and the toppings balance nicely with tender pork slice, ground meat, bean sprouts, and scallions. A great option when you're craving something comforting and flavorful without feeling heavy. Spicy Pig Ear - Perfect texture with just the right amount of crunch, and the seasoning gives it a savory, slightly spicy kick. Fresh garnish of carrots and cilantro adds a refreshing contrast. Popcorn Tofu - The most interesting dish of the night. The first bite feels a bit dry, almost like a more-ish cracker. Ordering and Vibe - Ordering from your phone keeps things fast and easy. The restaurant itself is casual and straightforward, with the focus on the food rather than extras. Overall - Solid choice when you want a reliable noodle soup fix. The pig ear appetizer and the noodles scratch the itch for a light yet filling bowl.

    Crossing Bridge Noodles
    Jennifer N.

All I knew when we came here was that they have soup and that it's Chinese food. I had no idea what we ordered so when our Traditional Crossing Bridge entrees started to come out, I was excited at the presentation as it's very unique! I love that each item is numbered off in what order to put it in your broth. The broth here was also very flavorful and the noodles were cooked perfectly. I thought the whole dish was great and super filling/comforting- we came on a cold day so it was perfect! I love the concept of the Crossing Bridge, it's very different from other places I've been to and in a way, assembling and playing with your food makes it more fun to eat. There's so many other food options in this plaza, but I would definitely be back here when I'm in the area as we don't have anything like this in San Jose!

It has Chinese paintings , beautiful vase , Chinese calligraphy with style , ceramic and brass figures of Mongolian horses, etc . I love their Kung bao chicken and Szechuan beef . The clear sauce with the seafood is so tasty . We got free appetizers ( vegetable egg roll and fried wonton in sweet and sour sauce ) . Inside the dish were also cooked bok choy, carrot , mushrooms , slices of water chestnut, green onion in a ginger flavor gravy . It tasted great with either rice or or brown rice . Service was great . Lady waiter came by often to check on us and added more ice water . The restaurant is clean and the lady deep cleaned the table after the customers left . At CA Noodle, you get what you ask for - you can see the rich, red chili flakes and oil floating in the broth which adds a nice kick and great flavor to the freshly made noodles. I just wish there were more chunks of beef that were included - the dish is very carb heavy. We also shared a plate of the pig ear appetizer which is soaked in a rich chili oil. If you like more of the chewy/cartilaginous type of texture, which I do, this dish is absolutely amazing. Overall, would recommend this spot if you're looking for a comfort meal.

Seeing CA Noodle show up on our yelp search and it was nearby, we decided to check it out. The location is pretty convenient, located in a plaza that shares parking spaces with several other restaurants and a McDonald's. The inside only seats about 10-14 parties of 2-4, so a pretty small restaurant. They had 2 waiters staffing the entire restaurant, but the menu and ordering system is all done through a POS via QR code. The menu was quite large, offering no many choices like pot stickers, noodle soups, chow mein, and little appetizers like pig ears. We ended up ordering the pig ears, pot stickers, pork pan fried bun, and 2 noodle soups. The good: pig ears. The pig ears were cut in various sizes and the flavor was spicy. Definitely to our liking! The neutral: the pork hamburger item and pot stickers. While the bun was tasty and crispy, the mean in between was a bit dry and the taste was a bit mild and less salty. We made it better by adding pig ears with every bite lol. The pot stickers were fine but it didn't really give a crispy bottom taste and more of dry pan sear. It definitely needed sauce as the filling was a bit mild too (very consistent mild tastings after the pig ears. The bad: the soup dishes that we ordered were definitely needing a flavor bomb. While the noodles we ordered were great and had a ton of chew and the protein in the dish was plenty; the soup lacked in taste. My girlfriend had to ask for additional salt to add to taste and it made it so much better. I ate mine as intended and I wasn't as satisfied as compared to if I were to eat at ox9 or muragame. Overall, I thought our meal was about a 3.5. While we enjoyed watching the World Cup while eating our food, the taste of our food was much more desired and it didn't scratch our itch for a rich soup. Unfortunately, many of the other patrons seemed to catch on and order the chow mein instead. If we come back, it's probably what we would order next. Until next time!

The hot chili wontons had a nice kick to them and not too spicy. The potstickers are a good vegetarian option and the tofu, mushroom and basil worked well together and that butterfly made out of carrots was gorgeous. I hear the chef makes them by hand. I picked it for a family lunch after going to the Livermore outlets. The decor and ambience is typical but relatively nice. We ordered a bunch of Shanghainese classics: Soy milk 4/5 - if you order multiple servings it comes in a large bowl meant for sharing. Can order cold or hot with sugar on the side. Xiao long bao 4.5/5 - I'm pretty picky about xlb and I am partial to the Shanghainese style (vs Taiwanese style you get at DTF and other places) and this was surprisingly good. Before this, my fav in the bay area was I-Shanghai Delight and honestly I think this might rival it. Filling and soup were both savory and light and incredibly umami. Maybe the wrapper at I-Shanghai is a bit thinner but honestly not a huge difference to me. Would def recommend if you like this style. Braised minced eel 5/5 - OMG this was the highlight of the meal for me, and I think only ppl who like this eel dish would understand. I honestly have not found good Shanghainese stir fried eel anywhere else in the Bay area. Chef Zhao's version was good once upon a time but then the most recent time we went, it tasted weird and not fresh. I-Shanghai Delight's was also no good (not fresh). This is the one dish that I will keep coming back here for. Razor clams with ginger and scallion 5/5 - This was also a crowd fav. I don't love clams usually but these were big and meaty and tender, and the sauce is what you would expect. Highly recommend Stewed yellow croaker soup with pickles 3/5 - This was ok and could've been better. Flavor of the soup was good but I think the fish tasted a bit overcooked/dry and could've been more tender. Shredded pork with wild rice shoot 4/5 - This was fine and a very traditional Chinese dish. Nicely done but nothing amazing. Red bean pancake 4/5 - This was a good dish, just not what I expected. I like the red bean pancakes where the pancake part is more doughy while this was like VERY crispy. But the flavor was good Lastly, the lady who took care of our table was SO nice and so chatty and so patient, despite the usual chaos and indecision of large family gatherings. She also packed up all the food for us and even gave suggestions for surrounding Chinese supermarkets.
