It's unfortunate because my family and I really enjoy their menu offerings, but we will not be coming back to dine or order takeout. I ordered takeout yesterday, and as you can see on my receipt, I was charged $4 for the takeout containers and a $12.30 tip which I did not consent to. I did not notice these charges until today, and I wonder if they're expecting all takeout customers to not take a second glance at their receipts. $4 for takeout containers is obviously outrageous, but I will pay it if you give me advance notice or it's clearly posted somewhere near the register. When she tilted her screen for me to sign, I didn't reach the tip screen before she tilted it back to herself. I assume she tipped herself for me, which is oh so wonderful. The soup base was honestly quite average, and it had a very strong taste of crushed pepper or white pepper powder. There was a noticeable slightly spicy sensation in the throat after drinking it. I haven't tried many places that pack the soup and noodles separately, but in this case, I actually felt the need to get home quickly and eat it because I was worried the noodles would absorb too much of the broth and lose their texture. One positive thing is that the noodles were still nicely chewy and had a good texture even after I got home. However, regarding the other dishes... I'll leave those comments aside. I also felt the price was a little on the expensive side, around $23 after tax. That said, considering the location and the plaza it's in, the pricing is still understandable. My level of spicy is high where my children can't do much spice. The kids and I enjoyed the rice noodle soup. It's a fun interactive soup where you add 10 ingredients to the hot soup bowl from an ingredient plate palette. The rice noodles are high quality while the amount of food is generous. There is a fantastic story behind each Artisan Dish. This particular soup base takes 18 hours to mature the flavor. It's a number 1 favorite amongst pregnant mamas as it contains so many nutrients! All I knew when we came here was that they have soup and that it's Chinese food. I've been to this restaurant several times before, and up until this last visit, I genuinely enjoyed coming here. The food has always been good, which is why I kept returning and recommending it to friends and family. Unfortunately, after the experience I had during my most recent visit, I can confidently say this will be my last time eating here. What made the situation especially disappointing was that the issue had nothing to do with the food itself. The problem was the customer service -- or more accurately, the complete lack of it. When my wife and I arrived for lunch, we noticed several people already waiting inside the restaurant to be seated. No problem, that's pretty normal during busy lunch hours. We put our name down on the waitlist and patiently waited our turn like everyone else. At that point, I assumed the restaurant was simply seating people in the order they arrived. Then things started getting frustrating. A party of three walked into the restaurant after us and, almost immediately, they were seated. At first I thought maybe they had called ahead or had a reservation, so I didn't say anything. But then, not long after that, another group came in after us and they were also seated right away. Meanwhile, we were still standing there waiting with no explanation from the staff. At that point, I was honestly pretty irritated. Nobody likes feeling ignored, especially when they've followed the process correctly and are clearly being skipped over. I even considered just leaving right then and there because the whole situation felt disrespectful and poorly managed. The only reason we stayed was because my wife convinced me not to walk out. She went inside and politely explained to one of the employees that we had already put our name on the waitlist and that two different parties who arrived after us had already been seated ahead of us. Instead of apologizing or even acknowledging the mistake in a professional way, the employee simply responded with something along the lines of "Oh, okay." That was it. No apology. No explanation. No attempt to fix the situation or make things right. There wasn't even a basic sense of concern or urgency. The attitude we got felt more like, "Take it or leave it," which honestly made the experience even worse. Mistakes happen at restaurants all the time, especially during busy hours, and most reasonable customers understand that. What matters is how staff handle those mistakes. In this case, they handled it terribly. What really surprised me was the complete lack of customer care. A simple apology would have gone a long way. Even acknowledging that they messed up the seating order would have helped. Instead, we were treated like our frustration didn't matter at all. It felt dismissive and unprofessional. Eventually, we were seated and decided to stay for lunch since we had already waited so long. The food itself was still decent, which is honestly the only reason this review isn't even harsher. But by that point, the entire dining experience had already been ruined. It's hard to enjoy a meal when you've just been ignored, skipped over, and treated like an inconvenience. The service throughout the meal didn't improve much either. Nobody checked in regarding the earlier issue, and there was never any effort made to recover from the bad first impression. At the end of the meal, we decided not to leave a tip because the service simply did not deserve one. Tips are earned through good hospitality and customer care, and unfortunately neither was present during this visit. What's frustrating is that this could have been handled so easily. A quick apology, a little accountability, or even a small gesture of goodwill would have completely changed the experience. Instead, the staff acted indifferent from beginning to end, and that left a lasting impression. I understand restaurants get busy and mistakes happen. I'm usually very patient and understanding when it comes to service issues. But being skipped multiple times while waiting, then receiving zero apology or concern afterward, is unacceptable. Good food alone is not enough to keep customers coming back if the service makes them feel disrespected. Sadly, after several previous visits and mostly positive experiences, this last visit completely changed my opinion of the place. There are too many restaurants out there that actually value their customers and know how to treat people properly. If you enjoy poor customer service, getting skipped in line, or being treated like your time doesn't matter, then this restaurant might be perfect for you. But if you expect basic professionalism, fairness, and respect as a paying customer, I'd recommend spending your money somewhere else. read more

We loved the Yunnan Traditional Crossing-bridge Rice Noodles, so we ordered it again and we thoroughly enjoyed it. But this time we also tried 2 other dishes we'd never tried before: Yunnan Cold Rice Noddles (include Peanut): this cold noodle dish was delicious. The vinegar taste hit me so unexpectedly strongly at first, but once my tongue acclimated to it, I could start tasting the sweetness and the savoriness from the vinegar. It was tasty! It also came with pork belly and some other meat cuts as well. The peanuts added a nice crunch to each bite. And beware that this dish could be deceptively spicy. I enjoyed it and would get it again. $15 as of July 2024. Raksha Ghost Chicken: I see this as a cold shredded chicken salad with red onion, carrot, and some herbs in savory spicy vinegar sauce. The chili pieces here were no jokes - they were very very spicy. Beware. $10 as of July 2024. The name of this dish highly intrigued me so I decided to do a little research on that. So, it seems like there are many legends about this dish (locally known as guǐ jī). One says that ancient fortune-tellers used chicken bones to scatter on the ground to look for formations in order to tell the future. So as not to waste the meat, they mixed it with local herbs and spices to make what resembles a chicken salad. Other legends say that chickens were most often sacrificed to keep ghosts happy, but again, the meat couldn't be wasted afterward. Very interesting. read more

I've driven by this place a few times while grabbing food at other restaurants in the plaza so I decided to try this place out for the first time last week. This spot replaces the previous snowflakes and the popularity is definitely better than the last. We came on a Saturday evening and although the restaurant was full, the wait was minimal. After getting seated, you scan the QR code on the table to order. We both got the crossing bridge noodle set. however, shortly after placing the order, we were informed that due to the small table, it won't be able to accommodate 2 sets of the noodle simultaneously. At the end, we had to have 1 set cooked in the kitchen to allow space. Food was average, I can taste too much white pepper in the soup. The concept is good for you to cook your own noodles and put the ingredients in the order of the plate but the plate was too big. My suggestion is to switch the big plate to a smaller one so you can fit 2 sets of noodles on the table. Service was good. Time from ordering to food arrival was short and we were informed immediately when they needed to switch one of the orders from self cooked to kitchen cooked. Parking was good, it's located in a big plaza with plenty of parking spots. If you happen to be in the area and am craving crossing bridge noodles, this is a good spot but otherwise, I would recommend ten seconds yunnan rice noodle instead. read more

Cloudish is the latest Chinese noodle place in the Pacific Pearl outdoor mall, replacing Snowflake. Its Yunnan-style soup noodles where rice noodles cook in seconds in a light broth with a variety of veggies, tofu, and proteins thrown in. Its similar to Ten Seconds, although quality and portion wise perhaps not as good. It's 3 stars for me since between the ratio of broth, noodles, and meat I felt it was way too much broth and not enough noodles or proteins. We ordered three noodle dishes between the two of us and we still weren't full! Ghost Chicken was served cold and has a powerful, sharp spicy kick. It would go awesome on a Chinese Chicken Salad, but it wasn't my favorite. Braised Pork Noodles was decent in flavor, though it would be nice if there were more pork. I'm benchmarking this with a good bowl of pho or Taiwanese Beef Noodle Soup where you will get full! We had the same issue with Crossing Bridge Noodles, though they gave more noodles at least. We ordered a third noodle dish with a seafood broth and little meatballs and bean curd. You definitely had to fish out the meatballs since they were so small. One positive is the dessert - black sesame mochi! Sweet, bitter, granular black sesame filling is my favorite Asian dessert flavor besides coconut. Overall AOK but I probably won't be in a hurry to return. If anything, it makes us yearn to return to Ten Seconds, which also opened up in Dublin! read more
