I mean if you want quick Chinese food, this is the place to go. For express Chinese I didn't really have high expectations. You kinda get what you pay for. The lady at the window was very friendly and prompt. I ordered the general Joe's chicken (as they call it) with fried rice and 2 egg rolls. My friend didn't care for it, but it was ok. I would prob give it a 2.5/5 I'll be back!

Sa Cha Style with Shrimp - Veggies were fresh and hot but the rice was drenched in a flavorless sauce.

I'm so bummed as I type this, as I'd hoped this place would be my go-to Chinese restaurant. It won't be. The positive? It's a drive-thru with fast, courteous service and the food is piping hot. It's also cheap. The negative? You get what you paid for. I ordered Sa Cha Style with Shrimp. It was flavorless. And they don't give you a separate container of rice. They dump the entree on top with all of the sauce. My rice was sopping wet with it and that ruined the rice. Too much sauce with no flavor is not a good combo. I ended up dumping Sriracha Sauce on it to add flavor and picked out the shrimp and veggies, leaving the rice to its death by drowning. The eggroll was standard but the egg drop soup was bland. To add insult to injury, the little crunchy things that came with the soup were stale and the Fortune Cookie was too. I can't say I'll return for another try.

Great quick Chinese takeout spot. Super nice that they have a drive thru and everything is very cheaply priced. The drive thru line look really long, but it took less than 10 mins to get my food. The dumplings were $5 and each soup was a little less than $2. The dumplings were really good, although they were cold once I got home, but the sauce with them is incredible!! You also get 12 dumplings in one order which is very generous. The egg drop soup was my favorite soup. I would put the hot and sour soup in 2nd place, and wonton soup in 3rd place. The wontons and the dumplings are the exact same. I'm excited to try more food from here next time!

4 stars My go to spot for late night cheap eats. It's a drive through and it's super fast. The food is also good for Americanized Chinese. Their fried chicken wings are always bomb, also their dumplings are so good because of their homemade garlicky dipping sauce (seriously addicting). Their beef lomein is ok, however they definitely are generous and give you so much beef for the money. I mean we ordered a whole bunch of food for $30. You can't get that anywhere else. I definitely recommend if you are looking for late night, fast, cheap food.

Hunan tofu and tofu LoMein with a small hot sour soup.

We've lived here over four years and regret only now discovering HunanExpress. We ordered online and used the drive through so I didn't notice if they are seating inside. We got Hunan tofu over fried rice and LoMein with tofu. Both dishes were quite similar, the biggest difference being one was over rice and one over LoMein noodles. They both were full of vegetables and somewhat milder in spice than I anticipated so I was glad I'd asked for hot chili oil on the side. Each entree was enough for two meals and under $7 each. The small cup of hot sour soup was also mild, but flavorful. All dishes were piping hot so ready to eat when we got home. We'll definitely be picking up dinner here again, especially since eating out now during the pandemic is proving difficult.

This is the best place in East to get Americanized Chinese food and it is so cheap! You can get 2-3 meals for under $10!

Some of the worst Chinese food I've had. Literally eaten better frozen dinners from the grocery store.

It was an interesting restaurant as we walked in. The decor didn't come across as Chinese. I'm glad my daughter was familiar with the place because I would not have known to go to the back counter to order. I tried asking a couple things about the menu but could not understand the worker that well. It seemed that he couldn't understand me either because he initially put in the wrong orders -- my daughter caught it before we paid. Very reasonable prices. I ordered the Roast Duck Noodles with the Marinated Egg added. My daughter got her usual "Build a Bowl" of Chong Qing Broth, Sliced Noodles, Steak and Fried Egg. I thought I had ordered a Shrimp Wonton appetizer, but a bowl of soup arrived. After asking the worker about it, he just kept saying it was soup (I know), so I just left that alone. Overall quite delicious -- very authentic Chinese flavors. Excellent house made noodles. The depth of flavor in the broths was fantastic. The proteins were seasoned nicely and cooked well. The bok choy in my soup still had a nice bite. The fried egg was crispy on the edges and perfectly runny in the middle. Unfortunately, I found the marinated egg too salty. Service was minimal -- after ordering, the food comes out and that's it. If you need something, you have to get up to ask. No one checks in. The area wasn't busy when we arrived, so parking was very easy right in front. I'm told it does get tough during peak times. I would definitely return for the food, not the service.

I'd definitely recommend dining in - we went in on a rainy Thursday around 6 and it was already packed, but a table for two opened within about five minutes. Service is great and food hits the table quickly. We started with the fresh rolls, chicken and cabbage dumplings, and the tom kha. We added a side of peanut sauce, which was a game changer for the fresh rolls. The tom kha was a little tart for my taste, but was loaded with veggies that were cooked perfectly. The dumplings were super tender, and the fresh rolls are my favorite in town! For entrees, we got the pad thai and pad see-ew with rice noodles. Both absolutely delish, and we loved how the pad see-ew was prepared simply and traditionally with Chinese broccoli. Those portions are not to be reckoned with... we ended up taking two boxes full of noodles home! Their sticky rice with mango was our favorite bite of the night. The rice was the PERFECT texture, in a not-too-sweet sauce, topped with toasted coconut, and the juiciest, sweetest mango. What a treat.

I ordered their tom kha soup as an appetizer. The broth was good, but the vegetables in it were not cooked at all. It felt like eating a crunchy salad in your soup. Only a minute after ordering the soup we were asked to go ahead and order our main dishes. My pad thai was good, but there was nothing particularly special about it. I had just started eating my food when the server asked us if we wanted to-go boxes and how we were splitting the check. I looked at my phone, and it had only been 30 minutes since we had sat down that we were handed the check. I would have tried their dessert if I hadn't felt rushed out the door. Also, the restaurant wasn't busy/didn't have a wait on tables, so I'm not sure why they rushed us out.
