Whether it's fish tacos or crab cakes in the summer, the delicious crab bisque and grill bread on a rainy winter day, or a lunchtime fish sando and fries, it always feels like a good time. They're really phoning this all in... - frozen fries - tub of tartar sauce (not house made) - thin, heavily breaded crab cakes that don't taste much if crab - $35 piece of halibut that was about the size of my two small fingers The server was friendly and the establishment was clean enough, but this place is not worth the money. If I'm paying restaurant prices I want them to actually cook the food, not open tubs of sauce and used frozen food in the fryer. I first want to start with this rating by advising everyone here that I have been a huge fan of Seattle Fish Company for years. I often order take out and I do have my food delivered via Uber Eats occasionally. Tonight I ordered the captains platter. It's my favorite thing to order from here. However, the order tonight was extremely bare. Lacked fries, had one fillet of fish, two oysters and a couple calamari rings. It appears they just threw this together. This has not been the case in the past. It's very unfortunate, and my first negative experience with this place. I hope they aren't falling on hard times. A bit of a hole in the wall with some surprisingly good fish tacos. It's not fancy but the fish was tasty! Ordered fish and chips - with choice of cod, halibut or salmon. Best Clam Chowda in Seattle... When I'm in the need for a hot bowl of chowder I'm compelled to visit Seattle Fish Co in West Seattle. However he always asks what kinda Chowda I'm desiring. I'm like come on man is there any other type of Chowda other than New England clam chowder. Super thick & creamy in a hearty bowl with an abundance of chunks of clams & potato's. As Jerry Seinfeld say's to Kenny Bania " THE SOUP IS THE MEAL " and believe me after devouring a bowl you'll be ready for a nap.. Came here the other day for dinner for happy hour and it was empty. I ordered 4 oyster shooters and steamed clams. The oyster shooter came shucked with cocktail sauce on the bottom. Each one seemed like they weren't cleaned bc each one tasted like they had sand in them which was off putting. The clams however were tasty and cleaned. The broth was delicious and the toasted crunchy bread tasted amazing with it. The service was great from beginning to end! Found this place near by our AirBnB and we enjoyed for dinner. We togo their soups and fish and chips for dinner. It was perfect choice for the cold weather. Fish and chips were crispy and not too greasy. Loved their cioppino, it helped to balance with fried dishes and creamy soup. We come here EVERY TIME we are in Seattle. Our friend from the area recommended this place and every time it's as good as the last. We are creatures of habit and get the taco special. The fish is delish but shrimp has been our favorite. Expect to use plenty of paper towels, it's messy but oh so good! You get such a good value vs what you get. The clam chowder rocks. This is a review of Seattle Fish Company's prepared foods. The business offers a wide variety of fresh catch, as well. This review is not on that. My parents and I order take-out from Seattle Fish Company on a regular basis. We usually call the order in, and no matter the size, they always have it ready to go when we come in to pick it up. I usually get the 2-piece Fish n' Chips, which is made with Cod. I've tried the Halibut and Salmon Fish n' Chips but prefer the standard Cod. My dad, however, prefers the Halibut. Both my parents love the clam chowder and always order it. (I'd get it too, but due to some seafood allergies, I'm not able to eat it.) My mom also always gets their onion rings, which she enjoys. We *always* order their slaw. I'm not a slaw fan, but theirs is fantastic. Freshly made, not too saucy. Some of the best slaw I've had. Don't forget to ask for vinegar, mayo, and/or tartar when you pick up your order! Even if you ask them when you order, you need to remind them when you pick up the order. Enjoy! read more

Even though I am a longtime customer, Jon, the owner, arranged to put my order LAST in que after a VERY LARGE PARTY walked in AFTER me, and placed their order AFTER me.. Even though I should have been served first, since I arrived before them, they were given priority and I was ignored and served last. Worse than that is that I was never told my food would be late or that the order had been shifted around to give the large party higher priority. When I found out, I requested a cup of LEFTOVER clam chowder (it was the end of the night just before closing), but Jon didn't even have the decency to approve my meager request. We got a 2 piece cod and salmon fish and chips and for about 16/basket you get 2 decently sized pieces of fish. It had panko breading and was not overly heavy and was overall tasty. I also ordered a cup of smoked salmon chowder and it was just okay - a bit too fishy tasting and I personally wasnt fond of the tomato base for the soup. During my recent visit, I enjoyed some incredible clams and mussels, as well as two dozen big, flavorful Pacific oysters. The oysters were fresh and perfect for shucking, and I got a quick tutorial from Ian--always a friendly face and a wealth of knowledge--on how to properly shuck without risking a finger! I also tried their house-made halibut cake and crab cakes. Both were delicious, the halibut cake was my personal favorite--like enjoying a seafood burger on a soft brioche bun. The flavor and texture were spot-on. They have a wonderful seating area for in dining and just a warm welcome place to stop in for one of their local beers. Service is decently friendly. Atmosphere is on the dimmer side. The fish and oysters are definitely fresh, but their shucking skills seem to be lacking. About half of the dozen oysters I ordered had pieces of the shell in them which ruins the experience. Indicaors for what is dine in what isn't are not clear. The layout is not newcomer friendly as instructions aren't clear/easily seen. I've noticed a few groups of customers come in and were just looking around, not sure if there will be a server that'll come seat them or walk forward towards the fish display case. read more
