We have visited this location on several occasions but I've never posted a review. We visited Hungry Crab during lunch today. We ordered two Seafood Trios. It consists of one Lobster tail, 1/2 pound Of Shrimp, 1/2 Snow Crab Legs, two corn on the cobs, and two potatoes. They offer several flavors for your seafood. We chose the Hungry Seasoning with is a blend of all of their seasoning together. You can have your seasoning prepared mild, hot or extra hot. I chose hot, my wife chose mild. The seafood was great and so were the potatoes. The corn on the cob was mushy but this was the first time that I have had bad corn there. Our server, Evelyn was very attentive without being overbearing and quite personable! Although I have had better seafood boils, this location has always been consistently good. read more

I would go a 3.5.... It was good no questions but there are so many other restaurants that I would like to try in the area before going back. It is super messy!! Do not wear anything nice as all meal options come in a bag filled with butter. And forget the bs gloves they give you. read more

We've lived in this area for a while, and Hungry Crab after opening was great! We loved it and used to frequent it often! We went last night and it was very disappointing. The service was ok but the food was not what it used to be. The crab legs were falling apart inside the shell before you could get them out, and I've been shelling crabs for a long time. That was super frustrating since before they used to be cooked perfectly. The potato that was in my crab boil had several bad spots on it, and tasted off. The main reason I'm writing this review the day after our visit is that today my stomach is messed up and I have diarrhea, so I'll let you deduce what may be going on. Once again, we loved this spot when it opened, but it's not worth 100 or more for a family of four to go have over cooked seafood, and veggies that aren't prepped before being served. read more

Crawfish needs work. Very bland, unfortunately. Tastes like they were boiled in plain water and then seasoned afterward.

This place was soooo good! We didn't even get a picture of our fried shrimp appetizer because we devoured them. They were hot and fresh! We wanted a second order but our food came out so quick, we just dug in. And you know the food is good when it is silent at the table! We took baby's mom out to eat and all three of us were bashing this seafood boil! We were surprised to find out that boiled eggs were that good in a seafood boil but I think anything would taste good in that sauce. We didn't try any drinks but they were decently priced. Crab is $59.99 a lb ((for 2piece crab legs)) not $34.99 like it says on photos of the menu on yelp!??! The seasoning is so so SALTY too overbearing, I'm sorry just the worst $155 dinner I ever had. I am so pissed with this place. The service is awful... I usually go to Mr and Mrs Crabs who for me has the best crabs anywhere, the vibe is good and the environment is great. I came here because I was in the area and I'm still kicking myself about it. I ordered 1 pound Dungeness Crab .5 pound shrimp and eggs my receipt was correct but as you can see in my bag the order was incomplete I only received .5 pounds of Dungeness Crab and there were no eggs although I was charged for both I called and spoke to a manager he asked me to text him pics I did that while we were on the phone he said he would get back to me and never did. I just wanted them to do what was right I shouldn't have been charged for food I didn't get but no response. My family and I are currently renting a house out in Davenport and were in the mood for seafood when we stumbled upon this place. We ordered food for pick up and it was nice to see they were following CDC guidelines. We ordered the fried shrimp dinner, scallops, Fried pickles and 3 different seafood boils. This was my first time trying a seafood boil and it was absolutely delicious. I got the Trio Boil that included crab legs, Lobster tail, headless shrimp and corn on the Cobb with all of it soaking in butter. There are a few different flavor options for the boils so you can pick whichever one you like and they even have spicy options as well. It was so good that we actually ordered from them twice within a week. I recommend this place for serious seafood eaters because the only other option you have on the menu are chicken tenders, which were just okay and not out of the world. But between the service and food, this place offered a great experience. read more

It's called hungry crab for a reason, cause I sure did leave hungry the snow crab was either re-cooked or poorly cooked cause it would stick to the shells making it come out in tiny little pieces, so it was pretty unenjoyable to eat. Absolutely love this place and they are one small thing away from being 5 star and that is, the raw oysters are not cut loose on the half shell. Established Nov of 2020. It's has warm atmosphere, heavily decorated with dock rope and barrels, various types of fish hanging around the ceiling. It's cute. We ordered drinks which arrived quickly to our table. We ordered a couple of crab cakes as an appetizer. They were small but very tasty and came with a thousand island type sauce. I ordered a redsnapper basket an my wife had a pick your own combo. All of it was flavorful and fresh. No presentation was considered for the dishes. Call it utilitarian. Good seafood house.
