Cute little wine bar in Morrison. Seemed very busy when we came before a concert at Red Rocks. 3 of us had to wait a bit for a table but luckily our food & drinks came quickly & our server was great! It's a lot bigger than it looks and there's patio space as well. Decor is cool with the wine cork walls. Stopped here to eat on the way to a concert at Red Rocks. We were in town for the weekend and I had researched this place before our trip. It's for sure very convenient if you're going to Red Rocks which was great. The service is pretty good. I kinda thought our server really didn't like us until basically right before we left and she gave us some very helpful advice about the concert. We ordered pretty quickly but the food did take quite a bit. I'm assuming because it's all from scratch. We just got burgers but they were delicious! All their bar drinks looked great, especially since scratch ingredients but we weren't drinking before we had to hike in 97 degrees . It's a super cute place, it was very busy, food was very good! It was just ok, sadly enough. My wife and I take turns planning our wedding anniversary outings. This year was her year and she has been wanting to take me here for awhile after a really good experience she had with some friends. It was a fairly early Saturday night -- super nice night out. She checked in online and when we walked up, the hostess said it would be like 15 minutes and that she would text us. We walked around a bit and after 20 minutes we made our way back and still no text. We chatted on the front patio and waited...nothing. My wife finally walked in and asked about our table and hostess said that she texted her. Bruh. Wife shows the hostess her phone with no text. All good! We are on a date night with no kids -- no big deal. So after about 30 minutes, we get our table. It's vibing in there for sure -- I do my usual scan and look at other diner's food and it looks deelish. Our server was prompt, went over a few items, drink menus, etc. Wife ordered a glass of wine and I ordered an old fashioned (server mentioned Evan Williams being the house which is fine by me, I am not picky). Drinks get delivered and we decided on a few things to snack on -- a charcuterie board (with 2 cheeses and two meats), the calamari, and half Caesar salad. We weren't sure if that was going to be too much food or not so our server told us that he would put in the charcuterie plate first and check in with us before firing the other two items. Great! The board was amazing and huge!!! We both decided that it was probably enough food and maybe we would get another drink -- wrong! Out came the calamari...followed by the salad. Ummmm...server never checked in on us before sending those two items to the kitchen to be made. Again, we're easy. We will box the salad and try and conquer the calamari but...we couldn't. Wife prefers calamari rings and I can eat all body parts but the order was 98% calamari bodies AND on top of that, they were all clumped together. They all got stuck together in the batter and it was super unappetizing. We didn't finish it. I left super disappointed in the service and the food. My wife was bummed because she's been raving about this spot for awhile. For me, a one and done. p.s. My drink was $16? Maybe $17. Evan Williams? I don't think it was made from the small batch version so the Black Label which can be found on sale for $15.99 for a bottle? That's crazy talk. read more

You walk in the front to a tiny entrance with swag and then meander your way into the restaurant which is still fairly small but they squeezed a lot of tables in and utilized the outside open patio for more tables. We waited about 25-30 minutes before the waiter finally came to take our order; he wasn't supposed to be assigned to our table but eventually noticed no one was taking care of us. Annoying because we had both just arrived from the airport on a 2 week international trip and were so fatigued and starving. The new server was nice but still. We got the following: Baked Goat Cheese Dip ($17): This was tasty Bolognese Quadrucci ($26): The sauce was very tasty. Noodles were alright but the flavor overall was good. I really liked the ambience and natural light inside and the service was friendly and knowledgeable of both the foods and drinks. Everyone at my table saw the truffle burger and knew that was what we all wanted to order. It was quite tasty, although it would have been nice if mine had come out a bit hotter. We had traveled to the area a day early before my husband's surgery at Colorado OrthopedicHospital in Lakewood and found Hungry Goat on the fly through Yelp. It was an easy 10 to 15 minute drive from our Lakewood hotel which was so well worth it. Oh my God... Their food is amazing! Such a treat to find this amazing restaurant where everything is made from scratch. We started with a couple of mock cocktails... My husband had their lemonade and I had a drink whose name I can't remember, but I believe it had cherry juice in it and some sparkling water and it was lovely though the lemonade was better . We had authentic Bolognese made with beef and pork that came with garlic toast points, which rivaled the actual pasta in their deliciousness. The Caesar salad had homemade pickled onions on it which were freaking delicious and made the whole salad over the top good. In fact, the Caesar salad was so good that we actually ordered it for a light dinner to-go the next night after my husband's surgery. The charcuterie board was ordered by the table next to us and it looked freaking amazing. Dessert for my husband was a bread pudding pie, I believe, and a spin-off of crème brûlée for me... The waitress described it as if crème brûlée and cream cheese cake had a baby . Served with some fruit compote of some sort and it was different and really good. Not super sweet, the cheese gave it alittle savory twist. Our waitress was lovely, friendly and conversational without being intrusive. We did not have reservations and came early for dinner at about 430. Seating was fast and food came quickly. We were super pleased and we'll go back anytime we are in the area. Great ambiance, great service, and yummy food! We drove to the Hungry Goat for a late lunch because my husband wanted to take a drive on a beautiful day. I chose the Hungry Goat because of how packed it always looks on the way to Red Rocks! The interior is very indoor/ outdoor with open garage doors a massive fountain feature and wine corks lining the walls. The two glasses of wine and my husband's margarita were all delicious. My husband loved his Rueben sandwich and I loved my Salmon on a crispy rice cake with bok choy and mushrooms. It was very tasty and perfectly cooked and the flavors worked together beautifully. This restaurant was amazing. We came on a super nice Sunday so the red rocks area was pretty busy, but the wait for 3 was only ~30 minutes. Everything is house made, including the drinks, and you can tell. Each of our dishes was amazing. The apple salad was light but filling, the shrimp and grits was the perfect portion, and the grilled cheese and tomato soup took the cake for best dish. Our drinks (spicy margarita, apricot Aperol spritz, and espresso martini) were incredible. The espresso martini was probably the best. My friend had the clam chowder and it is some of the best I've ever had in the country. And this amazing drink with homemade cotton candy, gin and Prosecco.
