Great sandwiches! Sandwiches are large portions without being skimpy on anything. The fries and tater totes were also surprisingly really good.

Located right by Santa Clara University, there are several tables for indoor seating and a few outside as well. Provolone Italian sausage philly (3/5): a bit too oily. The Italian sausage was very flavorful though. I wished there was a bit more cheese. Nonetheless it was pretty good. Service was quite slow. We had to wait about 20-30 minutes for our food. Tap to pay is accepted. Overall, Hungry Hound is alright. The price is a bit high for the service and food you get.

Bad prices online the prices are not accurate and even at the restaurant it says the burgers I got are $10.00 plus fries and apparently the total is $50. What in the fuck is that. Rude owners and bad service. Place is run down asf also. Also when others walked in they ordered so much for than me and only were charged $25. ALSO DOUBLE CHEESE BURGER AND YOU GIVE ME A 1 PATTY BURGER ON A SANDWHICH BUN!

My family and I love this place! The portions are huge and the folks running this place are so nice! Very friendly and down to earth. Everything we've ordered has been delicious!

What we ordered: 1 Caviar Starter: $44 Kettle Chips & Caviar Dip Sour Cream and Onion, Cured Egg Yolk - excellent little appetizer to start, served w a mini spoon to help scoop dip onto chips. kettle chips were very thin, crisp and fragrant. 2 Main Courses: $60 Slowly Cooked Pork Shank Creamy Bulgur, Salsa Verde, Tomato Jus - the meat was cooked perfectly, with flavorful tender pork that pulled off the bone easily w fork and knife. creamy bulgur was a tad salty as a base carb to pair w the protein, but also very flavorful so not much of the sauce boat of salsa verde was needed. $49 Whole Roasted Branzino Anchovies, Capers, Chives - the fish was excellent, though plating could have included some sort of veg or carb accompaniment besides the sauce boat of liquid butter w herbs. 3 Drinks: $19 Last Word Gin, Green Chartreuse, Maraschino, Lime - solid. Mezcal Old Fashioned (off the menu) - requested it made w chocolate bitters; bartender came out to table side to inform that he didn't have these on hand, but suggested he use their housemade bitters instead. turned out well! $15 Brucato Woodlands (digestif) hit the spot as a proper after-dinner drink sipped neat. It's a California-made amaro w dominant flavor notes of elderberry, cocoa nibs, black fig, and citrus; glad to see it offered on the menu alongside both green and yellow chartreuses :) Service was excellent even though they were busy at times, our server was thoughtful to check in periodically while bussers were polite. Note: Walk to the bathrooms is long -- need to pass through the entire restaurant and then down a long hallway in the rear, so just keep in mind if you are bringing children or elders. Nearest parking garage is underground but has elevators up to street level and is close to restaurant entrance. Nice date spot! FYI this place opened in March 2025 and is owned/managed by Bacchus, within the same Bay Area portfolio as Pizza Antica (across the street also in Santana Row) and both Michelin-starred spots on the peninsula - Selby's in Menlo Park & Village Pub in Woodside.

I will say the Duck Confit Cannelloni is a bit misleading. I expected more Duck flavor as it was filled with cheese and spinach. My sister in-law loved her Branzino. Our daughter had the Crab Donuts and they were ok. My wife had the Linguine al Limon and loved it. The Basque Cheesecake was a hit. The most popular item on the table were the skinny french fries. They were incredible. Our server Chloe was very good, but overwhelmed. Not sure if they were busier than planned or just understaffed, but the corkage was waived due to the slower service. I love Santana Row, but not sure if I would revisit Augustine.

You can also pick up some bouquets in their floral section. One thing I love to get is their Truffle Honey Egg Sando. I love how the honey compliments the sando and the truffle flavor is perf. Another memorable dish is the GIWA Prime Long Rib. So softtt, flavorful, perfect balance of meat and fattiness, and cut in to perfect bite size pieces. The salad on the side also adds a nice refreshing touch. Also plated nicely too. The table also loved the Truffle Potato Pancake. Again, they do truffle well! The Creamy Uni and Tobiko Rice Pot was also really good! The drinks come with a cute heart straw :) They have a few new, unique dishes that are definitely worth trying. The combo katsu is very crispy and not too much batter. I preferred the pork one over the patty. Sunny side soufflé is different, usually it's always sweet ones versus savory. I thought there was too much sauce and it was a bit more sour/tangy compared to the one on the Benedict. The soufflé does take very long, they said it would be about 30 mins but I think it took longer than that. Overall, food is good but I would recommend coming here if you have a lot of time and no arrangements. We got there an around 8:35 and we were the first 2 tables and based on the service and how fast food came out, we were done after 1.5 hours. If you want your food to come out faster I would ordering the skillet items or the pasta and Benedict as I saw those come out a lot faster. The table next to us ordered the skillet and pasta and got their food maybe about 5-10 mins after ordering.

We sat at the bar, where Nate (the bar manager), Skyler, and Juanita absolutely crushed it. They were attentive, personable, hilarious, and somehow managed to all be ridiculously good-looking. Coincidence? I think not. When we realized we wanted to catch the last game of the NBA Finals outside, Juan, the evening manager, was more than happy to move us to the patio. That kind of flexibility and hospitality goes a long way. Great drinks, great vibes, and an even better team. They made us feel like regulars, even though it was my dad's first visit (my second visit). We'll definitely be back!

It was the perfect spot to enjoy the fresh air and made for a really relaxing atmosphere. The restaurant has a great vibe overall, especially if you're looking for an outdoor brunch. (Have not been inside) I ordered the steak chilaquiles, and I'd give them a 8.5/10. The flavors were really good, the sauce was delicious, and I liked the addition of the eggs, avocado, and queso. My only complaint was the steak. I ordered it medium rare, but it came out medium well, a bit dry and was tougher than expected, making it difficult to cut. It was still tasty--just not cooked quite the way I was hoping. The mimosas were good too, a great value. Nothing that really stood out as amazing, but definitely nothing bad about them either--they got the job done. What really elevated the experience was the service. Our server Rebecca was attentive, knowledgeable, kind, and incredibly quick throughout the meal. They checked in at the right times, answered our questions confidently, and made us feel well taken care of without ever being overbearing. Overall, I'd come back, especially to sit on the patio again. With a more tender steak, this meal would've easily been an 8.5 or 9 out of 10!! :)

That's blatant racism, and it happened while I was a paying customer. Staff did nothing to address it in the moment. Understandably upset and shaken, I had too much to drink afterward. My family came and drove me home safely. Rather than addressing what actually happened -- a customer being racially harassed on their premises -- management's response was to ban me, not the person who harassed me. If a business allows this kind of harassment to go unaddressed and then punishes the target of it for reacting, that's a real problem, not a minor service issue. This is the San Francisco Bay Area. We should expect better than this. Avoid this place if you don't want to find out how they'll treat you when something like this happens to you.
