Garden salad not leafy but delicious combination

Our server Chloe made excellent recommendations in enjoyed my drink and my salad. She warned me that this salad wasn't leafy so when it came out I wasn't surprised. I loved it. Great blend of flavors.

I loved the food here! My husband and I came for dinner and ordered the Crab Donuts, Herbed Salmon a la Plancha, Grilled Peaches & Stracciatella Salad, Crushed Crispy Potatoes, and the Rigatoni Bolognese. Every dish was beautifully presented and had its own unique flavors. Crab Donuts- The crab filling was flavorful, and the light, golden donut created a nice contrast in texture with the creamy stuffing. Herbed Salmon a la Plancha- This was one of my favorite dishes. I loved the combination of the salty and tangy sauce, the zucchini, and the slight crispness of the salmon skin. Taking a bite together of the salmon, skin, zucchini, and sauce together was delicious. I was surprised. Grilled Peaches & Stracciatella Salad- This was refreshing. The juicy and sweet peaches went so well with the creamy stracciatella, while the arugula added a subtle peppery taste that balanced everything nicely. It almost acted as a palate cleanser for me. Crushed Crispy Potatoes- nicely crisp on the outside with the right amount of saltiness. Simple, but I just wanted to keep eating it. Rigatoni Bolognese - The pasta was cooked al dente and the rich meat sauce was full of flavor. I'd say this was a comforting dish with nice flavors from the meat sauce. The service was fantastic. Our waitress, Sierra, checked on us often, kept our water glasses filled, and cleared our plates promptly throughout the meal. As for the ambiance, we chose to sit indoors, which was quieter and more intimate than the lively outdoor patio. There was a soccer game going on, so the outdoor area had a fun and energetic atmosphere as guests ate and watched the game. Overall, we had a memorable dining experience at Augustine. I loved every dish we ordered, the service was excellent, and I'm already looking forward to coming back to try more of the menu.

IMHO This review is for the Augustine cafe right around the corner from Augustine, the restaurant in Santana Row. Baked goods look enticing and delicious! So far I've only enjoyed their cookies. Of course, I'll return! I'm a cookie-aholic!!!

FLAVOR (3/5): Decent food here but didn't blow me away for the price point. Lots of vegetarian and sharing options which was appreciated! INSTAGRAM WORTHY (4/5): Food presentation was not bad and the ambiance of the place was really what drew us in! In a great spot on the row with a good amount of outdoor seating. SERVICE (4/5): Servers came by often to check in and refilled out water cups for us frequently. TAKEAWAYS: Lots of options on the row so wouldn't necessarily be bookmarking this to come back but glad that I tried it! They also have a cafe option tucked away to the side that looks super cute!

I've always walked by Augustine but never got a chance to try it until recently when I had a team dinner. We got a private room for about 16 folks. We had a set menu for us that night consisting of - Garden Vegetable Salad - Salmon Tartare - Grilled Flat Iron Steak - Roasted Chicken - Crushed Crispy Potatoes - Warm Chocolate Chip Cookie My favorites of the night were the Salmon Tartare, Grilled flat iron steak, chicken, potatoes, and chocolate chip cookie. Both the steak and chicken were flavorful and saucy. The potatoes had a nice crunch and went well with the main course. I'm normally not a huge sweets person, but the chocolate chip cookie added a nice touch to the night. It was warm, crispy and chewy. The servers were attentive and friendly throughout the night.

We celebrated Mother's Day at Augustine and had a great experience. Since we brought our dogs with us, we decided to sit outside, Our server even brought water out for the dogs. The outdoor ambiance was relaxing, and there was a live band playing nearby which made the whole experience even better. The food was also really good and everything we ordered was enjoyable.

Tried Augustine recently and honestly really enjoyed it. We ordered a bunch of things for the table, but the kettle chips and caviar dip was the standout for me. Sounds simple, but it was so good and one of those dishes you keep reaching back for. The restaurant itself has a really nice vibe. Classy but still comfortable. Service was great too. Everyone was friendly, checked in often, and the food came out at a good pace. Definitely a spot worth going back to.

I usually don't crave pastries like this, but my friend wanted some coffee, so we decided to head to Santana Row and check out Augustine. The moment I walked in, I loved how cozy and comfortable the place felt. The decor and atmosphere were really nice and made it a great spot to relax for a bit. I ended up getting the pain aux raisins pastry, and it was honestly amazing. It had the perfect amount of sweetness, a nice crisp texture on the outside, and was soft and flavorful inside. Definitely one of those pastries you keep thinking about afterward. I honestly wish I tried more pastries, but that'll be for next time. Would definitely come back again!

Augustine has a nice ambiance but the food doesn't live up to it. The savory Dungeness crab donuts had good crab flavor but the donut itself was too sweet and the pairing didn't work. The gratineed oysters came out shriveled and were too salty. The citrus cured salmon tartare was the weakest dish of the night. The flavors read like salmon with Montreal seasoning and yuzu, and the textures were off. The burger was fine, fries were standard. Service was actually the most notable part of the meal, and not entirely for good reasons. Food came out promptly and the staff were attentive, but our waiter made a noticeable shift midway through. The "are you good?" check-ins started feeling less like hospitality and more like a nudge toward the door. Dessert menus disappeared quickly and payment followed shortly after. It made what could have been an enjoyable dinner feel like a transaction. Worth trying once if you're already in Santana Row, but don't go out of your way.

One of our friends from barry's ended up treating us to savory and sweet pastries. it was cool to see that they had a café on the side of the restaurant. The ambience was a sitdown outdoor café along with a restaurant inside. The service was really good and super helpful and narrowing the options to enjoy for the morning.

Aug Augustine is a beautiful newer addition to Santana Row -- stylish, lively, and already drawing a crowd. The bar is first‑come, first‑served, and there's a great heated, covered patio along with bistro tables outside if you prefer to sit outdoors. Food was genuinely excellent. The crab donut appetizer is unique and a fun start to our meal. The linguine al limone with Dungeness crab is exceptional -- bright, rich, and perfectly balanced. The burger was cooked exactly to temp and had just the right amount of sauciness. They also have an impressive wine list, though corkage is $35 per bottle if you want to bring your own. Service was on the slower side, but to their credit, senior staff stepped in to help keep things moving. It felt like a team still finding its rhythm, but trying hard. Overall, a great meal in a gorgeous space. Four stars for the slower service, but I'd absolutely come back -- especially for that crab linguine.

love the rotating menu and great variety of tasty food. I would say, everything on the menu each time I've dined in were good or delicious. the one thing though is some items are overly greasy which doesn't hurt the flavor but is a bit unnecessary. staff is friendly and helpful as well.

Not my personal cup of tea, but they do also offer sake and a few beers also. The first time we went, we ordered the arancini, bucatini, and the heritage pork katsu. I am a big advocate for trying new things every time I go to a restaurant, but it was so good I ordered the same thing the second time I went. Arancini is flavored with Japanese curry with creamy fontina in the center topped off with kimchi mayo. Holy f. These quite literally put the traditional Italian ones to shame (sorry not sorry). Next was the bucatini. It had tom yum butter, lime, basil- all the fix ins of what you want from tom yum flavors with the luxuriousness added from the butter. It was sinful. Last and certainly not least, is the pork katsu. I cannot even remember the last time I ordered a pork katsu, but something told me to order it. Thank God I did, as it quite literally changed my life. If they ever take it off the menu I am not sure I would be OK. It is crispy and is swimming in this koji butter, but the key is that it is NOT greasy. I quite literally think about it all the time. To the point where I had it twice in a week. First the knock, and to be fair, it's probably just an opinion / idea. Given the birth of natural wine and the South Bay, it would be wonderful to see a curated selection of tasting flights, no more than two or three options with anywhere from 3 to 6 wine wines each, priced accordingly. Maintaining a proper wine menu when all you do is natural wine can certainly be a challenge. If you wine flights depending on what you have would certainly elevate the customer experience by educating more people natural wine and helping them make better choices when it comes to a bottle purchase. I paid $61 for a bottle that was recommended, and at that price point I wonder how many people who are new to natural wine might be turned off. Chris was a wonderful host and certainly the right person to engage with customers around their various wines. Given how small the space is and how busy it can get, a weekly tasting flight menu might be a good way to engage those customers who are waiting to order at the bar and perhaps even spark a more productive conversation with Chris. We ordered the peach and ricotta dish with Thai basil... wow, a wonderful surprise. Peaches are always battling in and out of the top spot on my summer fruit list and this combination was downright dirty and delicious! We also ordered the raw oysters with watermelon mignonette. Another wow! I didn't expect the little spice kick and it was a perfect pairing to the sweetness of the watermelon. If anyone knows the recipe let me know, I'd bottle that mignonette and take it with me wherever I have oysters!! Overall, a great experience and I most definitely look forward to going back!

I was expecting something more like the classic Chawla-style white chicken, but this version was richer and heavier than anticipated. It was still good, just different from what I expected. The service was attentive, the ambiance was lovely, and the food was creative and flavorful. Overall, a very enjoyable meal, and I'd definitely return to try more of the menu.
