Hungry Howie's Pizza & Subs is one of those national pizza chains that offer what I consider to be a fast food version of pizza. What I mean by this is that they offer something somewhat akin to pizza, but that is designed to be quickly and inexpensively made and also a product that does not require too much training to the teams doing the actual preparing their menu. Hungry Howie's Pizza and Subs has been around since the early 1970's. It started in Michigan and has grown to over five hundred locations located throughout the United States of America. If anyone is familiar with Hungry Howie's, you know what to expect. If you are looking for a local mom-and-pop pizzeria that offer great pizza, this is not the place for you. However, if you are looking for a quickly made pizza to feed a group of pizza, this place will do fine. I had to feed a crowd and this place was convenient. No matter what flavor of wings you order, they now all have a hot buffalo base, how can they call it Garlic Parmesan when it has a hot buffalo under the parmesan? According to whomever I spoke to, it has been that way for 15 years, lol, I beg to differ, I wouldn't order them if that was the case. I had them without buffalo sauce in the past. The pizza has always been great, but I am not sure who decided to put hot buffalo sauce on garlic parmesan wings, the wings were bright red with hot buffalo sauce, very disappointed, and people need to know, some people cannot handle hot buffalo sauce, there should be a warning, this has happened twice now, we will stick with DiGiorno or Little Caesers. read more

Ordered ahead online 2pm on a Wednesday. We ordered a large bbq chicken stuffed crust pizza with Cajun seasoning on the crust. It was ready very fast about 8-10 mins. The pizza hit the spo ! The Cajun crust was very good too not too much not too little.. I would like to try another flavor crust next time we go. read more

Growing up, my father would always order from Hungry Howie's compared to other pizza joints as they were the cheapest in town. Despite being cheap, I truly loved their pizza over the others. Maybe it is because I got used to it. Today, other pizza joints serve better pizza at far cheaper prices such as Little Ceasar's. However, Hungry Howie's still exists and there is one located near where Ilive. Unfortunately, it is an okay place as the food is on par with other okay pizza joints and the prices are just too much for what others have. Located in south Palm Bay, Hungry Howie's stands out from the other stores in a small, somewhat dated convenience store strip. On the inside, the interior is both dated with gawdy yellow as its main color scheme. Not to mention, it doesn't seem to be that organized either. To be fair though, most people eating at Hungry Howie's are taking out, not eating in. This brings us to the food. If Hungry Howie's is going to stand out, it needs to do so in flavor. Unfortunately, it taste mediocre and is on par with other mediocre pizza joints. I ordered the extra cheese pizza and to me, Little Ceasar's pizza taste much better. It also helps that Little Ceasar's pizza is just $5 while Hungry Howie's is much more expensive. I also ate the chicken parmesian. It was okay too but definitely not on par with other pizza joints that serve it too. What really kills the review is the fact the prices are just too high for what you get. Even the subs are sub-par with the $3 to $4 price tag when you realize that Subway has a "sub of the day" at the same price and they taste much better. Overall, they need to improve because if they do not, it is most likely more people will pass on this place for others. read more

My husband was hankering for a pizza sub. I searched for a restaurant that made them. Hungry Howie's came up. It was close so I ordered a pizza sub for him, and an Italian sub for me. Oh my gravy! These subs were more like an open calzone, and absolutely delicious. Forget any other sub/hoagie shop! Hungry Howie's has them beat! The sub were hot, delicious, with fresh veggies on the side. I have never ordered from hungry howies, but ordered at 5:25 it's 6:50 and my order is not here . My order got here at7:09, house does that make sense??????? I was told it would be 20 minutes. The guy wants to give me excuses about how many employees they have working and delivering, and they want to offer a two topping pizza on my next order ? Why would I ever order again? Never, that's my answer. I will never order from this location again. Dominos or Pizza Hut would've delivered faster with a better accommodation. Never again!!!! read more

Probably the single worst pizza I've had in my life, including my own attempts to make a pizza when I was in first grade. CONS: - Greasy - crust glistening with butter - Cheese was just *there*, it didn't have any taste - the 'pepperoni' had no taste - the sauce was more akin to marinara. It was also almost nonexistent on the pizza. PROS: + The crust was fluffy. For the price, you'd be better off getting any of the big 3 chains on sale, or just getting a Little Ceasers or 7eleven pizza. read more

Absolutely horrific! I love Hungry Howies as a chain. I have family in Michigan who go there all the time and I used to frequent the one in North Melbourne and I have never had a single issue with any of those. But this location is a complete wreck. Around 4:00 yesterday, I submitted an order for delivery at 6:30 for a household of four, including two kids. At 6:50, i finally call in to see where our delivery guy is. I get passed around to three members of the staff before I finally get told "ughh... We got busy. He left fifteen minutes ago. Should be soon." I put my order in nearly three hours ago at this point. It was scheduled! I ended up speaking with the manager about this issue and asked if there was anything he could do about this. He barely spoke English and I had to explain the issue three different ways before he finally understood. He said we could have a free pizza next time we ordered. I told him that was useless because we would never be using this location again, so he puts me on hold, then offers a larger pizza than the last time! When it was finally delivered, I asked the driver what the deal was and he said he left on time, but the GPS said our address didn't exist (large apartment buildings that have been here forever). He got an attitude with me when I asked to check the order before signing the credit card slip because I didn't trust that it was the correct order after how terribly it had already been messed up. Three of the four people eating ended up getting sick from the food. Never using this location again! read more

Are you kidding me? I only wish I could give (-) stars. I got a Philly-Cheese steak Sub from there last night that was so greasy I had to take a shower after taking one bite. I didnt finish it btw. The pepperoni pizza I had seemed like someone had taken a paint brush, dipped it in plain tomato sauce and brushed it on a stale pizza crust. The Pepperoni, or substance they are trying to pass off as pepperoni, was absolutely tasteless, I mean BLAND, like chewing on plastic. Never, EVER, again will I eat anything from there. Decent cheap pizza that reminds me of what Costco's pizza is like. Never had a problem with them getting orders correct or on time. The butter garlic crust flavor is the best we think. read more
