YUM!! Places like this deserve more recognition. This is why I love the Yelp community! I'm so glad I did some research before our trip and found this hidden gem. Hands down the best meal of our entire trip! Our server, Amy, was fabulous. We loved all of our food. I went with the homemade biscuits and sausage gravy, which were the best I've ever had in my entire life! My husband got the chicken fried steak which was delicious, as well. We loved dining with the locals and getting a glimpse into life living in Branson. We will be back next time we're in town!

In my 70 years of walking this earth, the Hungry Hunter has the best breakfast I've ever eaten. The service is friendly and fast, the portions are large, the food is fantastic. My party ate biscuit, gravy, bacon, sausage, eggs, French toast and hashbrowns, and the largest pancakes I've ever seen. Everything was cooked perfectly. Located just outside of Branson, it is worth the drive. They are open for breakfast and lunch, Wednesday thru Sunday. Well worth the trip. Definitely worth all 5 stars.

Definitely 4.5 Stars! A locally owned breakfast diner located Branson. 4 Stars: It is a smaller diner compare to other breakfast places with 4 bar stools and about 10 tables. Depending on the time and day, you will have to pray for patience but the wait is worth it. We waited only 5 minutes but that is rare. By the time we were seated at 9 on a Sunday, about 30 more people were on the waitlist. Staff: 5 Stars All staff were friendly, professional, and respectfully sassy with a country flair. Our server made recommendations being our first time at the diner, and we selected the following: Food: 1. 3.75 Stars - Single pancake w 2 eggs (over easy) and 4 sausage links. You can request patties, ham or bacon instead. Now, the pancakes are about 12-14" In diameter. No joking. The eggs and links were the side items to the pancake. You can order more stacks but one was enough for me. The pancake was good but wasn't as fluffy enough for me. It had a decent crust and wasn't too sweet. That's what the butter and warm syrup is for. The eggs over easy were perfect and the four links has the right amount of pepper, powered sage and fennel in it. 2. 4 stars - Western Omelette w jalapeños and hash brown. The omelette is pretty large, stuffed with sausage, cheeses, veggies and jalapeños in it. The items were wrapped with a thin layer of eggs and it tasted wonderful. The crispy hash browns were a wonderful side accompaniment. Oh, I forgot the Biscuit (5 stars)!Freshly homemade with the right amount of crisco and butter to make them fluffy, light and crunchy. The top layer had a hint of salty butter and had a beautiful golden color. When you open the fluffy layers, the steam coming from the biscuit brought you back to Grandma's house. Get the butter, honey, jam or syrup ready! We ordered two more as to go. It was that good! I recommend to get there before 9 cuz they get busy and they close around 1, I believe. This place is a keeper when we are back in Branson!

    A single pancake??? Really???

Don't mistake quantity for quality. Yes, the servings are huge but almost ridiculous. The young man who served us was very helpful. Ambiance? If you like dusty hunting memorabilia, this is the one place for you. My biggest disappointment was that the restroom door is in the middle of the tiny room. It was disturbing to eat with an endless parade of people going in and out of the bathroom.

This location is small and they get a wait list going. They are good about getting your attention when your name is called. Just listen for the megaphone. There is parking in front and behind the restaurant. Once you get to your table, the service is great. Our waitress was friendly and provided good service. They were definitely busy but didn't rush. The portion size is a good size so you could split or there are some 1/2 size options. I liked the hashbrown and over easy eggs, the corned beef hash wasn't my favorite but I would come back and try other items. Everyone in my group of 6 liked their food.

What a wonderful find! In all our visits to Branson this is our first time for breakfast at the Hungry Hunter and we were so pleased! It's a lovely drive across the lake, out of the hustle and bustle of town, which we love. A quaint mom and pop feel, with music playing, not too loudly. We were seated right away at 9:00 on a Thursday morning. Our server Lori greeted us quickly and kept our coffee cups warm! Such a friendly lady and she described the menu options so well that she talked one of us into their cinnamon french toast special of the day! Our food was served quickly and was nice and hot. Each item was tasty, and for me, I was very pleased that the hash browns did not have that greasy grill taste! My cheesy omelet was generously filled an made to order, as I prefer mine a little different. The bacon was delicious, a perfect blend of thick and chewy with a bit of crisp. We will definitely visit again!

The Cinnamon Roll was DELICIOUS!! Right amount of frosting and bread. Western omelette and chicken fried steak delicious. All a great value for the money !!

    Denver or Western omelet

Denver Omelet is so good? Food portion was huge. Me and my husband split it and we still had left over. Hashbrowns were good but a bit salty for my liking. The homemade bread is bomb.com!!! Get it! They use like a fajita onion mix so it has onions, red and green bell peppers. I like that they sautéed the mix first before adding to omelet. I would def come back. Very busy! But we called in the order and it was easy to pick up. Keep calling if you get the machine as eventually they will pick up.

This is a small place. The service is amazing and very friendly. The portions are generous and the prices reasonable. We got the omelet and it was stuffed full, it came with hashbrowns and a biscuit. My husband saw someone biscuits and gravy, he just had to ask for a side of gravy to go with his biscuit because it looked so good. The hashbrowns tasted very fresh, I'm not a hasbrown fan but these were exceptional. The gravy, biscuits, and bread are all homemade. Also got a grilled cheese with bacon. My mom said it was the best she'd ever had.

We settled on a fried pork tenderloin and a single burger. The food was excellent, freshly prepared, and piping hot upon arrival. The staff was very helpful and attentive. You order at the counter and take your number to the table and the kitchen delivers it in a very reasonable time. The drinks are self-serve but members of the staff asked if I'd like a refill and did the running for me. They even brought me a "to-go" cup when we finished our meal. It was very comfortable and quiet during our visit but with a full dining room it has the potential to be a bit noisier. With a live band, it could be more than a bit louder. Tips: Head to the back and browse the vendor booths on the way. Expect to make some compromise decisions. You can't eat everything at one visit. On the way out buy something and support a local vendor. The building's purpose to give local vendors a place to sell. No vendors will cause the grill's rent to skyrocket.

We decided on Crazy Craig's treehouse, one that looked like cozy simple affordable food. Upon walking into the establishment, we discovered that the parking lot is a tight entry with the infamous Branson hills. The exterior was appealing and cool to look at yet the interior was cramped and barely any room to sit. They did have a nice area to sit upstairs though the pool table upstairs didn't contain the ball rack and the table was incredibly dirty/unmaintained. Moving onto the service. We were told to sit anywhere and someone would come and check on us, it was several minutes before someone came to check what we wanted with little to no business going on. However they were nice so that was a nice plus. The pricing for this place is a little overpriced for the simple food menu they have. We paid 10 dollars for chips and queso and the serving size that was on the platter was barely enough to feed us both. Our main entrees were easily 15 dollars a plate and not to mention that it took quite a lot of time for everything to come out. The overall taste of the food/drinks were very disappointing. My Dr Pepper was extremely flat no matter a refill or not, the chips were stale, and the queso tasted like fake cheese (only cheese I can compare it to is lunchables). My chicken sandwich I ordered was incredibly subpar: especially since when I pay 15 dollars for a sandwich I want a patty and not two chicken tenders plastered on a bun. Especially the pepper jack cheese on my tender sandwich had absolutely no spice which made me believe it was fake cheese as well. Even the pepper from the shaker only had a hint of the taste of pepper. The worst experience in this first and last visit was the fact that the pepper sauce (hot sauce) was all expired. Our tables sauce had expired on July 2025! I checked other tables and only one of the tables had a September 2027 date the rest had May 2025. So I didn't use any condiments on my food which overall ruined my meal. The only truly good food product I had was the French fries so if you go here just order the fries from the appetizer section and seeing how they are a bar as well: drink while you're here because you will need it to get through main entrees. Overall: friendly slow service, bad food, bad soda, and tight space and parking lot. Not worth your time!

This is a counter-order and refill your own coffee kind of place, but that didn't stop the wonderful staff who came to our table multiple times to refill our waters and coffee. The coffee was made JUST RIGHT, I didn't feel the need to splurge for a latte. Both of our orders were delicious. My boyfriend got the "pile up" and I will tell you, that their gravy was top notch. I opted for the eggs Benny, and was impressed with their hollandaise sauce (which I am picky about)-- it was very well balanced albeit a tiny bit broken. All in all, a great experience. I will definitely have this in my rotation when I'm in town this coming fall.
