We visited Peegros on a Friday night, and it was packed. To make things tougher, they were down a waitress, so the wait times were pretty rough. We were seated in under 20 minutes, which wasn't bad, but it took almost two hours for our food to arrive. That part was frustrating but it ended up being worth every minute. The staff was really nice and welcoming, and the environment was casual and family-friendly. When the pizza finally came, it was the best pizza I've ever had in Michigan. The dough tasted homemade, perfectly chewy and flavorful. They offer a variety of sizes and toppings. We ordered the largest (deluxe)one for our group of two adults and three toddlers. It filled us up and we still had slices left over! Prices are very reasonable, especially for families, which makes this spot even better. If you don't like long waits, either visit on a less busy day or order takeout. At the end of the day, you have to check this place out. read more

An other trip up north and we had to get to Peegeos before we headed back home. When we drove up the parking lot was full but we did find a parking spot kinda close to the front door. We got inside and there were people waiting. BUT once we gave them how many in the party we got seated right away Yippee! Our server Ty was right there to take our drink orders and dinner orders. Two 12" pizzas. One sausage/mushroom one pepperoni with green peppers and onion. We only waited 15 min. And our pizzas were at our table. OMG what wonderful pizza. They were cooked perfectly and the ingredients were fresh and the crust was excellent. The drinks were top shelf as well. Man we love Peegeos and must get there every time we've up north. I loved my first experience at Peegeos! This restaurant/bar has a small town "cheers" vibe tucked in around the lakes area. Seems like everyone in there was friendly and happy making for a really fun relaxed time. And our food? Great! I had walleye that was done to perfection. We also had a half-a-rack of BBQ ribs. Lip smacking tender and full of flavor. This will be a regular stop for us. I can't wait to try the pizza next time. Had seen the TV advertisement several times and decided to give it a try for lunch. Very disappointed in our meal. I ordered the 1/3 lb burger. It was dry and quite frankly "run of the mill". My wife ordered the "Big Dipper" The only good thing was the roll. 2 slices of very thin beef that looked and tasted like shoe leather. Au jus was watered down. Homemade chips tasted like they had been fried with onion rings. Almost $30 for lunch. We won't be back. read more

Ordered the "Mike's Sicilian" pizza, tonight. It was really amazing. I'm from the Chicago area and Peegeo's pizza is as delicious as most pizzerias in Chicago. It is a VERY busy place, but it's well worth it. Be patient and it will pay off. The waitstaff is always very willing to help and they are very pleasant. Also, this place has some of the best wings in the area. Everything I've tried on the menu is exceptional, however, the spaghetti just isn't like my mom's. Hidden gem! Whatever this place is doin they are doin things right. A cozy family restaurant tucked in the woods with a great vibe, lots of locals drop in here. Nice, cozy spot in Traverse City area with lots of different types of food! Great for takeout pizza - it's on the pricey side but there aren't a ton of other pizza spots in the area. Delicious, so can't complain too much. I had a strange experience when picking up the pizza since I had called ahead. When I walked in, several servers and staff passed me but no one said anything or greeted me. Then they told me they haven't received any called in pizza orders even though I had gotten confirmation on the phone to come at a certain time. They had gotten my name wrong so I had to describe the pizza orders for them to put two-and-two together. Overall, not a bad experience and we'd get pizza there again since it's once of the only choices. read more

We were looking for a place that served pizza and beer. This place was an unexpected gem! Peegeos appeared to be in the middle of some woods with nothing else around. Lots of cars the parking lot... The restaurant was warm and cozy with some TVs on the walls. I guess you could call this a sports bar. Not a very big place, but the food was great! We had a pizza and a couple of beers, and we were delighted by the price! Our server was friendly and attentive. This isn't a fancy restaurant/bar, but they serve great pizzas and sandwiches. I would highly recommend this place! We were just passing through, but we would definitely go back again. read more

Meh. Ordered the char-grilled wings and a Sicilian Pizza. Nothing unique about the wings; fried first and finished on the grill. Sicilian Pizza crust did not have the "lift" we are used to. Crust appeared to be standard pizza dough. The building has a low ceiling and hasn't been updated since the Carter Administration. In the post-covid area, I'm looking for ventilation and hard surfaces that can be easily cleaned. Ironically, the service was excellent. Wait staff checked in regularly and check came promptly. If the food and decor were as good at the service, this could be a 4 or 5 star joint. read more

This place for a very pleasant surprise! We had a large party and tried the wings in texmex, garlic parmesan, Asian, and the bourbon BBQ and all were great. The ribs were probably the best I've ever had and I'm not a huge BBQ fan so that says a lot. The burgers were great and my Philly steak was very good as well. Loved this spot! Their pretzels and beer cheese are honestly some of the best I ever had. I was eating the cheese with a fork to get every last bit at the end lol. Also had the chicken Parmesan and it was good. Pizzas are also super tasty. I wish they had a cocktail menu but they do have a full bar. read more

This restaurant was picked because it was close to where we were staying along with it being a mom and pop type place while on our road trip.
