It's surprising that I see all these ratings that are subpar. I can only speak on my experience which was great. I ordered rims online and when I took them to a different tire shop to install on my truck, I was told they didn't have the right equipment to do so. But they highly recommended Hunters. So I called them on a Monday at 9 am and I told them the type of rims I had and the make and model of my truck and they told me they could definitely do the mounting. I left my truck and they were done in two hours. They were friendly and answered all my questions. Best of all, it didn't cost me a fortune, their prices are great! read more

We dealt with Lynn and he was extremely knowledgeable, kind and patient with our 6000 questions on tire size, lift, etc. He even offered to put 2 different tires on our truck so we could visually see the difference. What a joke! they dont warranty anything they sell.. bought new balast for almost $80 and then magically the lights are different colors. I go back and they say I need new lights. another $65. this all after every 6 mos or so having to replace balasts for the past 2-3 years. Stay away from Hunters!!!! read more

Stars are for price and job done quickly , I saved about $200 over the other listed custom truck accessories stores listed here on one product ! I ordered a matching tonneau cover for the bed of my truck. They did require full payment up front $1201. I was a bit leary as I'd have expected a percentage down to order. I called 3 other stores all near Hunters on Gallatin / Main St. Nashville. I asked Hunters on Monday to complete process by Thursday , they called the very next day saying product was in their store and to come on for install everything went smooth. I should probally give them more stars but they just aren't that friendly and seemingly say no too much and to me just don't offer as many services as I would expect. If a cover or ventshade is what your looking though this is the place for best deal and quick service. read more

I have been doing business with Hunter's Custom Automotive since 2008 when I purchased by Chrysler 300. All of my chrome (ie. door handles, fender trim, mirror covers, window visors) has been purchased and installed by Hunters. I did a very good job enhancing my vehicle. Friends and admirers would ask me all the time, where did you get your chrome? I would proudly say at Hunter's Automotive in Nashville. Never had a problem with their service until today. About a month I order some chrome parts on line (not from Hunter's) for my Ford F150 (mirror covers, door handles and tailgate handles). Me being a valued custom over the years they had no problem putting them on. I paid the service charge and was completely satisfied. That all changed today. I came into the store with my chrome window visors and pillar posts to have put on my truck. It was not a friendly greeting once I told the Lin that I wanted these items put on the truck. Seems the problem he and another gentleman had was the fact that I did not purchase these items there. I had to remind him that I been patronizing there store since 2008 and that I was just there last month and they put the items on my truck without question. I started getting the tap dance about how they couldn't guarantee the work on the pillar post. Bottom line is since I didn't purchase these items from them they didn't want to do the work. One of the gentleman ask me why I didn't buy the items from them. I told him there prices were too high. They disregarded the fact that I've purchased all of the chrome I have on my 300 from them and the fact that just last month they installed the chrome on my truck without asking me where I purchased these items from. I find this to be shady practice. I understand that they have business and that that business stays in business off of sales and profits. They weren't putting it on for free, I was paying them. The next time I may have needed a chrome item it may have been that I would have purchased it from them. I will bargain hunt for my items and compare prices. Hunter's wanted $70 for the pillar post, I found them for $35. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out where I was going to purchase them. If you would have had a store policy that said we do not install any items that were not purchased by the store; I would not have had a problem with it. But because they install the chrome last month on my truck without question and then today give me the third degree I no longer want to have and further dealings with them. One of the reviews on this site I read talks about them being unfriendly I whole heartily agree. Just because they provided a service in the pass that I was satisfied about their demeander is still unfriendly. Roman read more

They don't call them the King of Chrome for nothing. When i call, they always have a good stock of most items. On speciality items maybe 1 to 2 days.
