The garlic parm wings were delicious. Perfect crisp! I got the nachos with chicken. The chicken chunks were pretty big so I cut them up. Plenty of everything on the chips!! My dinner mate got the steak and broccoli and fries. She ate the whole thing!! She said the steak was great. I tried the broccoli and the fries and they were both really good too. The beer was cold and helped me to drown out the children everywhere which is to be expected because the place is kid friendly and is located in a kid friendly environment. Ha, I really didn't mind. The staff is so upbeat and seem to really click! The service was fantastic and the place is super clean!

They did their best with the ambiance, but still has the cafeteria feel. The food is not bad, the service is very good. I won't be a regular here, but if I was at Great Escape and it's convenient I would go again.

    Raw burger.

I have gone to Hurricane once before last year and that experience was pleasant. This one was not. I walk in with a friend and review the menu before deciding to eat in. My friend wasn't going to eat anything, just came with me for the vibe. We sit and it's a notable time but nothing crazy before we get our drinks, two waters. I put my order in, the mushroom burger medium rare with a house salad instead of fries, with italian dressing. The server confirms they have italian dressing. 25 minutes goes by and server comes over to apologize about the wait and that my food'll be out in a few minutes. Meanwhile the table directly behind me, 7 top, are complaining since it's been 2 hours since they ordered and only got a few meals served one at a time. 45 minutes goes by and by this point I'm hungry. It's clear that they were understaffed and I asked my server how long it will actually be. Keep in mind that it's no where near busy. Maybe 7 tables tops on the inside, maybe a few outside. As I'm waiting for "a few minutes," I overhear a different server greeting a new table and informing them that three people in the kitchen walked out. 15 minutes later I get my food. It's a burger and house salad, brought out by a different server. She asks what dressing I had and I said italian. They don't have italian dressing, and honestly I don't want to eat a salad with no dressing or the options they had, ranch, blue cheese, balsamic vinaigrette, and one other one I believe. So I politely ask for broccoli instead when offered something else. I eat a few bites of my burger, so hungry I didn't look down. When I do, I see that it's raw. A different server than both previous ones comes over to soften the blow as I just ate raw beef. I tell her I'd like to speak to a manager, but she comes back herself and says that she had talked to the manager and comped the whole meal. Of course, I wasn't going to pay for an hour and a half wait for one entree that is raw. I didn't bring any cash to tip since I was going to do a credit tip. Then she tells me that she would have to charge me something for that to be possible. I thanked them for their time and left. Don't go here until they're staffed. I understand that things happen but being honest, upfront, and serving safe to eat foods are a necessity that they don't have right now

Surfer vib, open area so you are not sitting with other people that you don't know. Music is good.

We stopped in here not knowing what to expect and we were pleasantly surprised. The restaurant has an open feel to it with both booths and tables. They have a bar area with a throw back vib of 50's counter bar and outside walk up ordering. It is open and we'll lit, and the tables are not on top of eachother. The food was outstanding and came quickly. Our server was Hanna G, and she was a top tier server, friendly and attentive (give that girl a raise, shes a keeper). The have a preety good selection of draft beers (and had my tradional Amber!!) with IPA choices also. Full bar. If your staying at their hotel, this would be a prime spot for dinner or lunch. The prices are reasonable, service great, food very good, and beer is cold... what more could you ask for?

I really wanted to like this place, but sadly it didn't come close to making me happy…read more Service was very slow, though the waitress was nice. I ordered a specialty drink off the menu and asked for it to be made sweeter if possible, but it tasted as though it had been watered down. The server didn't ask if I liked it, which I thought was bizarre, because a simple sugar packet would have made the biggest improvement. The drink came with mini blueberries that got stuck in the straw with every sip--super annoying. I got a chicken sandwich and asked to switch out the cheese. They did, but added onion (which I hate) and left off the spicy mayo. My husband's sandwich had added tomatoes for no reason--just weird. We also asked specifically whether their grilled chicken sandwiches came with a thin piece of grilled chicken, since that was important to both of us. We were told yes, but it wasn't true--I had to manhandle mine and split it in half just to eat it. Most of the fries were decent and tasted good, until I came across two raw-ish ones stuck together that were soggy. By that point, I was just over my meal.

Quite unique.! The food was par. Fish and fried shrimp were overcooked to coffee brown. The wings are delicious. The shrimp cocktail was good. The French onion soup was superb. The burgers were big and awesome. The problem was the service. One waitress for 80 people is not enough! We were seated and then she finally got to our table for a drinks order. Beers and waters. All good. Food order goes in. We don't see our waitress again. Takes 30 minutes for the food to come meandering out of the kitchen and delivered by kitchen staff. Still no waitress for more beers. Food was as described earlier. Still no beers. I go to the bar to get more. I am told it will be a few minutes. Still no more beers. Some of our gang go home because they Never Got Service! We were there for 90 minutes and got 2 beers. Then came the tab. $160 for six people not including the tip. Paid in cash! Nice place. Local favorite. I would skip it if not for my friends being local and taking us there. They say that management tries to run the place with one waitress usually. Too Bad! Poor or no service is costing you lots of money.

Our server was very attentive but chill and knowledgeable. We got the Utica greens to share as an appetizer, a cocktail and Mad Max local beer, then a burger with hand cut fries and a chicken stuffed poblano. Taylor was one of the best servers we've had in a long time. Everything is made fresh daily, and if you sit at the Chef's Counter, you'll see it first hand. You'll also get great descriptions of everything from the awesome Chefs and maybe get to try something extra too. I recommend using the reservation system on their website and specify your seating preferences. You can choose from the Chef's Counter, the bar, a high-top table, a low table, or an outdoor table (weather permitting). We also appreciated them asking about food allergies on the reservation system too and they verified it when we arrived. We were so impressed with the unique menu options that are offered in the appetizers, small shareable plates, main courses, desserts, and drinks. We are already planning on coming back Sunday for brunch and know we'll be back again soon for dinner.
