This a really cool little bar and grill. Long old fashioned bar and nice natural wood plank tables. Bathrooms are lined with wine corks in the women's and beer bottle caps in the Men's. Quite unique.! The food was par. Fish and fried shrimp were overcooked to coffee brown. The wings are delicious. The shrimp cocktail was good. The French onion soup was superb. The burgers were big and awesome. The problem was the service. One waitress for 80 people is not enough! We were seated and then she finally got to our table for a drinks order. Beers and waters. All good. Food order goes in. We don't see our waitress again. Takes 30 minutes for the food to come meandering out of the kitchen and delivered by kitchen staff. Still no waitress for more beers. Food was as described earlier. Still no beers. I go to the bar to get more. I am told it will be a few minutes. Still no more beers. Some of our gang go home because they Never Got Service! We were there for 90 minutes and got 2 beers. Then came the tab. $160 for six people not including the tip. Paid in cash! Nice place. Local favorite. I would skip it if not for my friends being local and taking us there. They say that management tries to run the place with one waitress usually. Too Bad! What an awesome "locals" place right near Lake George Village. This place had a continuous flow of customers the whole time we were there. It's has a cozy pub atmosphere and good food! Among the favorites we tried were the following: homemade steak type fries that were large and crispy on the outside and soft in the middle. Steak sandwiches with actual steak not frozen precut strips. Also, well seasoned Buffalo Chicken pieces in a Buffalo Chicken slider. My son said his fried clams were tender, sweet and not greasy at all. The waitress was super friendly and the atmosphere was happy and celebratory. The drinks are average but they do have specials. Found this tavern here on yelp and we wanted something out of the way of the tourist crowd. This worked. When we walked in the place was full. No empty seats. But in a minute a table cleared out and we were seated. It was pretty obvious that the waitress knew just about everyone in the place. Lots of small talk. I had a Caesar salad with steak on it and it was delicious. My wife had fish and chips and it was very so-so. Clearly frozen fish and portion control. But prices were reasonable and so was the entire visit. 3 stars for being average. read more

Nice portions and if you leave still hungry, that's on you! Everything was clean, staff was very nice and quick. A little on the small side so you should get there before peak, or you'll wait, but you can certainly order drinks while waiting. Lake George weekend with friends from Canada, looking for a local spot to have dinner together stumbled upon full moon could not have been happier loved the vibe and the local feel and the friendliness of both waitstaff and patrons, the menu is diverse with lots of choices and specials we had steak and cheese open turkey sandwich open roast beef sandwich chicken wings French onion soup and that was just the first night, LOL, We were so impressed and has such a wonderful time We were right back there the next night! After a long hike on the lake George area, we were starving and found this joint! It's definitely a local joint, and has rustic vibes. We were greeted by our wonderful waitress, and were served swiftly. Started off with two beers on tap, a blueberry blonde ale and a summer brew. Both were good! Next was the appetizer. We had boneless garlic parm wings which were so so good! There was a perfect ratio of garlic and parm to chicken, and they tasted authentic. The waitress suggested getting medium sauce with the garlic parm and for next time that would be the move! For dinner my partner had the bacon cheeseburger club sandwich. He said it tasted delicious and he loved the bacon especially. I had the Reuben sandwich per recommendation of the waitress and it definitely did not disappoint, I could only eat half it was extremely filling. Highly recommend this place if you are ever in the lake George area near the outlets or are hiking! Great local joint and always looking to support local businesses! read more

The burger sliders were excellent. The buns were toasted perfectly (didn't get mushy at all). The burgers had flavor and were juicy. They have actual fresh cut fries, unlike many establishments that claim to have them. The restaurant was clean and the service was very friendly. We will be back the next time we are at Lake George. read more

This place is the best !! Very comfortable, lots of "regulars" that may or may not bite when provoked (it's all good) The owners Tad and Adam do an awesome job. We live nearby and eat at the Moon often and it's aways good but we had a sausage and pepperoni pizza tonight and it was the best pizza I've had in years. The crust was just a little crusty, the meat was perfectly done, the taste was great. And all of the staff are great. read more

I went with family. We were sitting having a good meal and a fun time. Food was OK, beer wasn't cold enough. Waitress was very nice. While we were eating, an older man came and took chairs away and basically kicked us out of the dining area. Another gentleman laughed and said, band tonight. There is something about this place that I love. Not sure if it is because it is totally off the beaten path, nestled all the way in the middle of the woods in nowhere land or if it is the crazy amazing menu (lasagna pizza was amazing) and their simple and classic beer menu. I hate to even give 1 star. Been there several times, never that impressed but the owner is cool and friendly. The food has always been pretty decent but this last time was a nightmare. The waitress tried to remember our order instead of writing it down, she completely screwed it up and never came back to check on us, so I just sat there with something I didnt order. When she finally returned, she rudely insisted that was what I ordered. She was so unbelievably rude, I almost couldnt believe. She begrudgingly took it off our bill. I will never go there again. Its unfortunate because the owner is awesome and deserves to do well read more

Considering that this is a community tavern that caters to the working man (and woman), offers great pub food late late into the evening it's a 5 star good-as-it-gets for me. I've been a patron for many years and as I've been seeing the same faces, staff and customers alike, so I'd say most folks agree. As a restaurant worker, it is the best after work place to get a hot fresh meal long after the other joints have turned out the lights. Co-owner Adam is Kitchen Boss gives a damn about what goes on the plate and it is amazing how big of a menu they serve out of that small kitchen. His brother co-owner Tadd is the head Barman and is a real crowd pleaser. Not content with just just being successful businessmen, the brothers do a crazy amount of fundraising for local charities.
