I went to Teresa for a facial and absolutely loved it! Her unit is very cute and peaceful. She has kind of a lounge area, and then another room where she does her treatments. The "bed" was warm and cozy. She was extremely knowledgeable about skin and skin products. I honestly felt like I took a class! She uses a few lines, but the line that drew me to her is the Lira Clinical skin care line. The facial felt amazing and she gave me tips on how to get my skin more balanced after the facial. She even picked out Lira products that would be best for me and how often I need to use them. She wrote it all out for me so that I could easily follow it. Love this place. Came here to meet Teresa bc a few other places i went to were wishy washy and I would alway leave feeling kinda....half fulfilled with what i was needing or wanting. The first time with Teresa i was a little nervous bc it was the first time and it can be that way when someone new is about to do stuff to your skin/face, we did a really deep facial which at the time i was worried about **BUT** when i left I just felt really *clean* and like i had my skin purified. The reason it was deep is because she was getting to all those areas previous people looked over or did not do. About a day after my skin got back to its usual state and everyday after that I've had exceptionally good and radiant skin. With other places, my skin would be good for a few days then go right back to where it was before i went to them...its been 2+ months now and my skin has never looked or felt better. I'm a guy, so when previous places i went to wanted me to do things regimens like: use this product X + product Z on M,W,F,S then on Tues, Thurs, and Sat use products A,B & C every other week....just doesnt work for me. So I saw a groupon deal for a Brazilian wax and purchased it for $30 and It was worth it!!!! Appointment by Text is the way to go! Teresa does an amazing Brazilian wax. And I seriously mean this! Ladies, we all know how a wax can feel on our skin let alone in that particular area (thinking about the movie 40 year old virgin wax scene...cringe!). I can tell you that Teresa definitely takes her time. The type of wax she uses is different than what I was used to but in a good way. It was blue and gel like. From her wax application to how simple it came off my skin, gave me such a better outlook on Brazilian waxing. We all know how waxing down there really hurts, but I can honestly say this time around was not as painful than what I was used rodeos previous places. This is an update to my review from a year ago. Today was my third of three peels that I bought as a "special offer". It's a great deal by the way. Today I had asked about getting a Diamond Microdermabrasion treatment. Teresa didn't miss a beat and said that my skin type couldn't handle it because of various skins conditions and said that peels were better. I am so impressed!!! I appreciate someone whose personal integrity is more important than making money. Obviously, she owns the business and wants to be profitable but not the expense of selling her clients something they don't need. I admire and trust Teresa. Finding someone that I trust implicitly these days is sadly the exception and not the norm. read more

I have only great things to say about Teresa. I visited her in late October (the day of this review) after purchasing a Groupon for her waxing services. Here's my story: Initially, I was a little concerned because each time I called there was no answer and I ended up communicating with her through text. I was hoping to see her the same day, but that didn't work out - I got to see her in the same week. No big deal - I can't expect to get a same-day appointment if my only availability is during lunch. She wow-ed me immediately when she said that she would honor my already expired Groupon - I knew it expired "sometime" in October. Oops! On the day of the appointment (remember, I'm on my lunch hour), I was a little frustrated because I never let Teresa know I was new to the area and she didn't offer the parking situation. BUT, once inside, she has a very calming demeanor that I found calming. She makes you feel at ease immediately which is important considering you really expose yourself to her. I loved that the experience was so comfortable. Given my Groupon purchase and the amount of "work" she had to do was minimal, she ended up doing a little extra and included it in the services. I don't use these services often, but now that I know where she's located, Teresa will always be top of mind as my first choice in skin care needs. read more

I bought a Groupon for a chemical peel and I couldn't be happier with the service. Teresa Oliveir was just fantastic. She mentioned everything she was putting on my face and explained ever step she was doing. I loved that. She has a very warm and caring demeanor about her that immediately puts you at ease. DO NOT GO TO EUROPEAN WAX I hadn't gotten a Brazilian DONE in awhile because my experiences with Brazilians have been *traumatizing*. My first one ever was done at European, and because of the 15 minute minimum, she put lots of wax at once and just started ripping. She left some hair over and was done. TERESA IS AMAZING. She doesn't overwhelm you with too much pulling, and makes the experience comfortable and she builds strong rapport. She has an intimate and welcoming setting, and before the process she allows you some time to clean yourself. Then she comes in and begins the procedure. Because she's independent, she asks for your "help" pulling the skin, she is largely professional, and gets to know you. I've gotten Sugared at a location in Mountain View and it was the WORST. People say you get sugared because it's less painful than hard wax, it isn't. The woman who did me, made me bleed so much I couldn't walk out. My time with Teresa was so comfortable, and I'm feeling clean and better off. Please go here, you won't regret it. read more

I followed Teresa from a spot she was at in Fremont and she's well worth the drive. I'm a guy and do not like my eyebrows too thin or feminine looking. In addition I have super sensitive skin. No ones been able to get my brows right but her. She trims my crazy strays and to protect my skin she uses wax on top and tweezers the bottom and finishes with this special technique to ensure I don't break out. When I'm done my brows are groomed to perfection! The place is cute and cozy and easy to find. I like the willow glen neighborhood it's in too. Waxing always has some pain factor. I have definitely paid less, but this experience was worth every penny. My normal pain hits in the high 9's of a 1 to 10 scale, and this was around a 5. I felt babied, and pampered. She uses much gentler products which boost the price up, but reduce the pain factor. I will recommend this salon to anyone. I was having my brow, lip and chin done. 5 stars just isn't enough for the happiness I've received going to Haute Skincare & Waxing. For almost 2 years, I've received facials by Teresa and just recently, a full body wax. I was initially referred to Teresa by a family friend and I've never been disappointed. The shop is adorable and very clean! I am 26 years old and was at my last effort before Haute.
