We visited Hwaro for the first time to celebrate my son's birthday with a party of 8. First off, the food was really good. The meat quality was great, everything tasted fresh, and there was a nice variety of options. We enjoyed what we were able to try and the overall flavor definitely stood out compared to other AYCE Korean BBQ spots. That said, the experience itself felt very rushed, which really impacted our visit. Since it was our first time, we were not informed about a strict 60-minute ordering limit until near the end of our meal when the server came over and told us it was our "last call." After that, it felt very pressured, especially with the server standing nearby while we were trying to quickly finish ordering. With a party of 8 sharing just one grill, it was already difficult to cook and eat at a normal pace, and the time restriction made it even more challenging to enjoy the meal comfortably. Most of the time felt like we were rushing rather than actually enjoying a birthday dinner together. Because of that, we left feeling like we didn't really get our money's worth, even though the food itself was good. I think clearer communication about the ordering time limit upfront and better accommodations for larger groups would make a big difference in the overall experience.

I'm still thinking about this place because WOW. Hwaro seriously knocked it out of the park. From the moment we sat down, the service was impeccable, legit hands down some of the best service I've ever had. They changed our grill like 3x for us, checked in constantly, and the food came out quick. And this was on a busy Saturday night, with no wait! Unreal. Let's talk food because everything was amazing. My absolute favorites were the, Ribeye Bulgogi, (so tender, so flavorful) and the brisket, which was seriously soooo good too. PLEASE do not skip dessert--their Yuzu Sorbet, is a MUST TRY! It's refreshing, perfectly tart, and the perfect way to end a BBQ feast. Another must-try is their EDO sushi roll, YEP I said it they have sushi included in the $34 PREMIUM menu. Omg their green tea, tasted so authentic! They do have popular items like corn cheese, radish wraps, and affogato but just to note, they don't have other popular Korean bbq sides like fish cakes, rice wraps, or melon bars/mochi desserts. Honestly though... who needs all that when the food here is already insanely good? On top of all that, the restaurant itself is beautiful. The interior is modern and cozy with big booth seating, which makes it feel more private and comfortable. When you sit down, all the sauces and ICED water are right there on the table! Overall, amazing food, lightning-fast service, gorgeous space, and an experience that made me want to come back immediately. I can't wait to go back. Hwaro is the place.

We love the food here, the best service ever over the years have been Joseph. He's always so nice and makes my family and I feel welcomed. Always looking forward for him to be our server.

Last time I been here. Was before the renovation. Wheel it looked smaller and crowded. So let's start with the renovation. 5 out of 5. Love the new setup. Booths are more comfortable. Their is no big bench style tables in the middle. Replaced with more traditional style tables/booths. So the food is 4 out of 5. My favorite used to be the shake rice. Prepared in a metal tin. You shake it then open and eat it. Then I find out it's only available at hwaro2. But why? This is where it originated from! Also the portions have gotten way smaller than I remember or compared to some other places. Ordered beef belly and got like 5 slices. So make sure you order according. Service was 3 out of 5. 80% of my dine-in the single server seemed to be extremely busy but with only 4 tables. Then it seemed to be short change. And the new short asian guy was checking up on us every 5-10min. Refilled drinks. Took away our empty plates even before the busser got around to us. When our cooking plate looked like it was about to get burned. He said "let me change it out before your next wave of meat shows up". Little things like that go a long way

4.5 STARS Date: Tuesday, July 8th, 2025 Time: around 12:15am Party of 5 Meal: Dinner *Premium ($34.95) x5 *Peach Soju ($12) *Sapporo Large ($8) *Coke ($2.75) x2 We got a little carried away gambling back on the strip. Luckily Hwaro closes late on a Monday night, so we were able to make dinner. We wanted KBBQ, so this seemed as good a place as any. Kalbi was on our minds and boy did we indulge. Love that you are not limited to only x amount of orders per table or person. One in our party ate like 10+ slices if memory serves. I tried to sample all the meats on the premium side cuz that's why I was here. I actually enjoyed the pork selections more - soy honey comb pork toro, premium sliced pork toro, kurobuta pork steak, hwaro pork kalbi. Seemed more like dishes that aren't typically offered at korean bbq spots. Tho we didn't pass up the beef either - premium angus ny strip, premium ribeye steak, yakiniku ribeye steak, filet mignon, beef skirt steak. The rest of the premium menu consisted of sushi / fish dishes which I skipped. On the reg side of the AYCE korean barbecue menu, they had the usuals I always get - la kalbi, beef tongue, pork cheek, etc. I adore wraps, so I'm glad there was garlic, sliced jalapeno, ssamjang, lettuce wraps, radish wraps, napa kimchi, jalapeno radish kimchi. All that was missing was sesame leaves to make it the perfect wrap! Service was great! They were attentive and informative. We knew they were closing soon so they kept us aware of when last call was so we could order accordingly. Would definitely come here again. Just earlier so we don't have to rush as much. For the price, you get a good amount of selection. REVIEW #3813

The food was amazing! You get 2 of both worlds: Korean and Japanese, I love how they offer fillet mignon in the menu. I didn't get to take more pictures as we were all excited to eat. Pricing is not too bad for the premium. The place is a bit tight for a big party of 8 or more. They have mostly booth and 1 grill per table. The bathroom needs more attention. The service was excellent. We will definitely be back again!

I came here to celebrate a friends bday. We made a reservation for a party of 12 and were seated shortly after we arrived. However they didn't have a table that could accommodate all of us so we sat on two tables next to each other but it was pretty cramped for 6 ppl per table since the booths were small. We didn't have much space for the dishes that were coming. Our servers were pretty attentive and food came out fast. I would say my favorite cuts from the menu (we got the dinner so it was the premium) were the filet mignon, Yaniku, skirt steak, and beef tongue (reg menu). Everything was pretty tender. The brisket was a bit too fatty for my preference. Although we could only order things on the premium menus once per person, the portion was rly large that it got us all full! I would say to stick to the meats for this place since the sushi/carpaccios were okay. I don't think they were super fresh but they weren't horrible either. Overall I did enjoy their food a lot compared to other places I've tried. The salad dressing is good as well as the mushroom fries which I thought were super unique!! It was also rly nice of them to do a little bday surprise at the end for my friend!

We come here a lot. I just need to do a more thorough review of it because this trip we got almost all of the premium items. especially the meats and the carpaccio. And usually we go at lunch but today we went around 6pm since I was working graveyard. It was already packed a little so there are more customers at night than at lunch. But service was still relatively fast. Derek was our server and he is very attentive to the timing of grill changes and when to come get a new order instead of asking every 5 minutes or so. He's also a lot of fun to talk to and joke around with. The premium meats are very tender. I highly recommend if you eat here, get them. they don't take particularly long to cook, especially the NY strip which was cut really thin so it was easy to keep it from being overcooked and tough. it was very tender. and so were the other meats. the filet mignon is always small cut in cubes. so, even if it is something you get at the end, which I did for the rest of the premium meats, i could still finish it. The carpaccios have a very deep flavor to them and the garnishes and sauce they use balance it out very well. The flavors don't overpower each other and my favorite is the salmon carpaccio. The nigiri are very lightly treated, with a small bit of rice, which is good because it won't fill you up and you can eat the other foods on the menu as well. One thing I always do is mix the corn cheese with rice. it's a good blend of textures and flavors, and the rice is soft so mixing it is really easy. Just a personal preference and I recommend at least a try of it. During dinner it is a little louder because it's packed but usually if it's lunch it's quieter and the beauty is that service wasn't affected even though it was packed. we still got our meats in a timely manner and there wasn't a long wait between food. I highly recommend this place if you are a resident and even a tourist and want a good experience in korean bbq. Usually there is no last call if it isn't packed. we never got a last call all the times we came for lunch but this time we did because there were parties waiting outside the main door.

    Spicy Tofu soup
    Jeff M.

Fresh ingredients from their well dressed green salad, pickled radishes, homemade kimchi, and pickled radishes with jalapeño. Their spicy tofu soup is delicious rich depth of flavor, and tastes like very soft and homemade tofu. Beef bulgogi is seasoned well and very tender, beef brisket is fresh and barbecue's well and is delicious! chicken is seasoned well with Korean spices and marinade. Service is excellent. They keep your plates full and ensure you're liking of the various choices that you have made. Vegetables are fresh ambience is very casual, but we enjoy the great service here.

I'm not the kind of person to ever leave reviews for a restaurant, and I'm not trying to be dramatic when I say I don't know where to start with how amazing Hwaro is. To the appetizers, the premium choices of meats, and even the sushi. They have cool sides that you don't find at many KBBQ places like garlic butter, ginger, and corn cheese. The shrimp tempura was the best I've ever had and they also have filet mignon which was just incredible. I can't say enough good things about this place. Our server Joseph was awesome too and the ambiance has a dark cozy vibe which I love. The price of AYCE is comparable to every other place in town I've been as well. 100000/10

This place is great! They have awesome appetizers and sesame salad and a little bit of sushi. Most awesome thing is the lunch price is 27$ and you get bbq, a hot pot, and sushi. That's a steal for me! I feel like the tables/booths is very small. There's not very many tables and it gets kind of loud. The food come out fast and the meat is fairly good. I think the pork belly wasn't that great bit the beef belly was awesome. They have ssamjang but they don't have steamed egg! That was my only disappointment. I loved the octopus and the thin sliced pork belly. What is phenomenal is that with this lunch price you get two kinds of kalbi! That's just super! My servers kept my water refilled and came around a lot to ask if I needed something. I would definitely come again for lunch!

Miso kalbi, Pork cheek, Hwaro toro, brisket, and sushi... it was a dreammm!

SO MUCH BETTER than your average kbbq spot!! Premium cuts of meat, quality soups, flavorful kbbq sides, and solid sushi rolls... I am that much more sad to leave Vegas and not be able to eat here. This was our last meal on the way out of Vegas and we all needed some nutritious, soothing comfort food and Hwaro for sure satisfied it all. I highly recommend the Nabe Hotpot if you're looking for a comforting clear broth to cure your hangover! Not only was the food top tier in quality and pricing, but we were also thankful for the attentive and gracious service from our host. The plaza was also easy to access and had plenty of parking at lunch time.

Hwaro never lets me down! Lunch special at $26.95 with all the good stuff plus a limited choice of sushi included!? SAY LESS!!! Hwaro is definitely my go to spot! I'm always ready to order as soon as we get in! Hwaro pls don't change a thing

How do i make a reservation?

They don't have reservations. You put down your name and phone number and they will text you when ready.

Is Hwaro still an AYCE Restaurant? I heard it's not A Korean Restaurant but now a Japanese Restaurant. Please advise.

This one is more Japanese, no Korean veggie cold appetizer side dishes here. But they have a lot of food to choose from. It's still great and will fill you up.

Is it possible to make reservations in advance?

    No, it's 1st come and 1st serve

    Do they have vegetarian options?

They have some veg. sides like miso soup and lettuce but nothing to replace meat/protein.

Is this location closed for good?

    No it has reopened!

Are you closed tonight? If so, when will you reopen?

Is there a 2 person minimum?

    I believe so

Do I have to make a reservation?

They do not take reservations. It is a first come basis. They have a sign in sheet in the lobby area.

Are you guys still open til 3?

this hwaro closes at midnight ! :)

Do they have lettuce, the kind to wrap the meat with?

    Yes they do have lettuce!

Can I make reservations for group of 7?

No it's a first come first serve bases. But when we went with a group of 7 around 1 am on Friday. We didn't wait that long and it was pretty immediate to get seated.

Are they open on Christmas day?

    Yes they are

Do they take Apple Pay or cardless payments?

    yes, tap is available

Do they happen to serve beer towers or like an alcoholic beverage tower of sort?

I don't believe so but they do have alcoholic selections.

    Are there gluten free options?

Yes. Just order meat and vegetables.

How busy are they typically at 10 PM on a Sunday night? We have a large group (about 20 people). Would like to gauge how much tome to allot for waiting. Thank you!

For a group that large you'd probably be looking at 1 1/2 to 2 hours wait. It's totally worth it though. With covid they might still have a limit on party numbers though so be careful, they have this thing where you can give them your number and… Read more

Does anyone know if this restaurant is open? I call but no answer?

They are. Lines are always busy so either call back to back or drive up and put your name on the waitlist because they don’t take reservations.

How ahead in advance can I make a reservation?

They don't take reservations. It's first come, first served.

Can you order 2 bbq meats for a party of 4?

As long as the meats are on the same menu for the price you are paying for then yes

Do they still have the happy hour after 10pm?

Yes, everyday. It's the late night special. Same price as the lunch special. About $20/person.

There were multiple helpers constantly picking up dishes or delivering plates. We opted for the highest food tier which included wagyu beef, wagyu carpaccio, and lobster tails. This is one of the best Korean BBQ places I've eaten at in a while. All the dishes were seasoned to perfection. Even the kimchi fried rice was made at the table. I was impressed that there wasn't a meat or dish I didn't like. All items were definitely fresh. I fell in love with the wagyu beef and the lobster was juicy. The sushi items were good quality and flavored. There was a minor mishap when the server accidentally spilled a bowl of food on me. If you are looking for your "halmoni's" (grandma in Korean) authentic, homemade, caring, handmade flavors and can ignore the no-frills, don't -care, terrible location and zero curbside appeal, this is your place. Imagine going to an old neighborhood Korean home where the kimchee to the broths and banchan are made with love. The scissors are sharp so you can easily cut the perfectly fermented, primly pickled kimchee and the cucumbers (oi kimchee) are fresh and the beef broth deeply steeped and rich with flavor. Plus it's an absolute bargain for what you get. I think we ordered almost one of everything (for just the three of us) just to taste it. The naengmyun (cold noodles) were fine. Not exceptional, but decent. The saam and chive pancake was very good. Value is high, taste is high; authenticity very high. Huge portions in today's world of cutting back. But I feel fortunate to find a "go-to" for my korean cravings. Like walking into my auntie's house for some warm, deeply comforting, home-cooked k-meal. Craving the dogani bone broth soup now!! (Would have taken photos but it would have hard to judge based on photos alone. This is a place you have to go to just to taste it, not look at it).

Food: Medium Size - Marinated Steamed Short Rib aka Galbi Jjim Beef Tofu Soup Fry Dumplings Omg!!! I love Korean Food and these dishes made me a happy lady. The only missing was cucumber kimchi but that's just preference. The Short Rib was so tender and very flavorful. The soup was an added touch and different taste from the shortrib that made it sooo good. I enjoyed the ban chan and we asked for me of the radish and jap chae. I ate about 2 of the fry dumplings aka pan fried dumplings dipped in the sauce. My friends all enjoyed the food too. I will definitely return and would highly recommend.

We were particularly interested in their combos meat menu items that look so appetizing on their menu and from patrons pictures. Being a huge Korean food fan, I had to order everything. We were pleased with everything we tried. The seafood pancake was delicious. The corn cheese and the kimchi fried rice was a hit with the kids. There was plenty of parking when we visited for early dinner. My only complaint was our server being a little less than friendly. But overall, quick service and the food was delicious and presented well. If visiting Las Vegas, I recommend giving this Korean restaurant a try. See my pictures!

Step inside, though, and suddenly you are transported somewhere that feels straight out of the Euljiro district in downtown Seoul. The welcome sets the tone. The mostly non-Korean staff greet you by shouting something in Korean. I had to ask my Chinese server what it meant. He laughed and said, "Hobak imnida" which translates to "We are Hobak." Kind of silly, but honestly part of the charm. What we did not realize is that Hobak is celebrating its tenth year in business. In Las Vegas, that is no small feat. Restaurants here disappear faster than a weekend bankroll, so a decade says a lot. Also worth noting, Hobak is not AYCE. They offer set menus and à la carte options. We went with the set menu for two, and it was more than enough food. That said, if you are strictly a meat-only person, this might not be your ideal spot. The seafood pancake and kimchi stew deserve just as much attention as the meat! The real surprise though: while it is not AYCE, they quietly rolled out AYCD all you can drink for $14 back in November. Yes, you read that right. So plan accordingly. Bring a DD or call a Lyft because things can escalate quickly. We ended up with two bottles of soju and two large Cass beers, which would have easily been double the AYCD price. Sodas are also included. One of the better deals you will find in this city. Service was excellent across the board. Tyler, who is half Japanese and half White, handled the brisket and short ribs like a pro. Our tattooed Chinese server, who looked intimidating at first glance, turned out to be incredibly friendly and grilled the pork jowl perfectly. Everyone else kept the banchan coming with a smile. By the time we finished, we had to walk laps around the shopping center just to recover. We left full, slightly buzzed, and, fittingly, feeling like a couple of very giant hobaks.
