ORDER dinner menu (5/5) we arrived at around 8pm on a monday night and got seated 20 minutes later. $35 is 100% worth it for everything you get. the fish to rice ratio here is better than any sushi spot i have ever been to. yellowtail and salmon nigiri were my go tos. nothing stood out to me about the meat quality, but still super yummy regardless. my favorite was the beef tongue, brisket, and beef belly. i will be recommending hwaro to everyone who visits vegas. 10/10 recommend. Place has changed. Menu has changed (not positively IMO). Food comes out much slower, curtains in the corridor to the bathroom are very dirty and low so you have no choice but to touch them so they don't end up in your face. Waited for my soup forever after they messed up the order and once it finally came the guy had his thumb with dirt under his nail on the inside of my bowl. The quality of the food is consistently great, with a fantastic selection of meats, sides, and sushi options. We visited Hwaro for the first time to celebrate my son's birthday with a party of 8. First off, the food was really good. The meat quality was great, everything tasted fresh, and there was a nice variety of options. We enjoyed what we were able to try and the overall flavor definitely stood out compared to other AYCE Korean BBQ spots. That said, the experience itself felt very rushed, which really impacted our visit. Since it was our first time, we were not informed about a strict 60-minute ordering limit until near the end of our meal when the server came over and told us it was our "last call." After that, it felt very pressured, especially with the server standing nearby while we were trying to quickly finish ordering. With a party of 8 sharing just one grill, it was already difficult to cook and eat at a normal pace, and the time restriction made it even more challenging to enjoy the meal comfortably. Most of the time felt like we were rushing rather than actually enjoying a birthday dinner together. Because of that, we left feeling like we didn't really get our money's worth, even though the food itself was good. My absolute favorites were the, Ribeye Bulgogi, (so tender, so flavorful) and the brisket, which was seriously soooo good too. PLEASE do not skip dessert--their Yuzu Sorbet, is a MUST TRY! Their is no big bench style tables in the middle. Replaced with more traditional style tables/booths. So the food is 4 out of 5. My favorite used to be the shake rice. Prepared in a metal tin. You shake it then open and eat it. Then I find out it's only available at hwaro2. But why? This is where it originated from! Also the portions have gotten way smaller than I remember or compared to some other places. Ordered beef belly and got like 5 slices. So make sure you order according. Service was 3 out of 5. 80% of my dine-in the single server seemed to be extremely busy but with only 4 tables. Then it seemed to be short change. And the new short asian guy was checking up on us every 5-10min. Refilled drinks. Took away our empty plates even before the busser got around to us. Tho we didn't pass up the beef either - premium angus ny strip, premium ribeye steak, yakiniku ribeye steak, filet mignon, beef skirt steak. The rest of the premium menu consisted of sushi / fish dishes which I skipped. On the reg side of the AYCE korean barbecue menu, they had the usuals I always get - la kalbi, beef tongue, pork cheek, etc. I adore wraps, so I'm glad there was garlic, sliced jalapeno, ssamjang, lettuce wraps, radish wraps, napa kimchi, jalapeno radish kimchi. All that was missing was sesame leaves to make it the perfect wrap! Service was great! They were attentive and informative. I came here to celebrate a friends bday. We made a reservation for a party of 12 and were seated shortly after we arrived. However they didn't have a table that could accommodate all of us so we sat on two tables next to each other but it was pretty cramped for 6 ppl per table since the booths were small. We didn't have much space for the dishes that were coming. Our servers were pretty attentive and food came out fast. I would say my favorite cuts from the menu (we got the dinner so it was the premium) were the filet mignon, Yaniku, skirt steak, and beef tongue (reg menu). Everything was pretty tender. The brisket was a bit too fatty for my preference. Although we could only order things on the premium menus once per person, the portion was rly large that it got us all full! I would say to stick to the meats for this place since the sushi/carpaccios were okay. I don't think they were super fresh but they weren't horrible either. We come here a lot. I just need to do a more thorough review of it because this trip we got almost all of the premium items. especially the meats and the carpaccio. And usually we go at lunch but today we went around 6pm since I was working graveyard. It was already packed a little so there are more customers at night than at lunch. But service was still relatively fast. Derek was our server and he is very attentive to the timing of grill changes and when to come get a new order instead of asking every 5 minutes or so. He's also a lot of fun to talk to and joke around with. The premium meats are very tender. I highly recommend if you eat here, get them. they don't take particularly long to cook, especially the NY strip which was cut really thin so it was easy to keep it from being overcooked and tough. it was very tender. and so were the other meats. the filet mignon is always small cut in cubes. so, even if it is something you get at the end, which I did for the rest of the premium meats, i could still finish it. The carpaccios have a very deep flavor to them and the garnishes and sauce they use balance it out very well. The flavors don't overpower each other and my favorite is the salmon carpaccio. The nigiri are very lightly treated, with a small bit of rice, which is good because it won't fill you up and you can eat the other foods on the menu as well. One thing I always do is mix the corn cheese with rice. it's a good blend of textures and flavors, and the rice is soft so mixing it is really easy. Just a personal preference and I recommend at least a try of it. During dinner it is a little louder because it's packed but usually if it's lunch it's quieter and the beauty is that service wasn't affected even though it was packed. we still got our meats in a timely manner and there wasn't a long wait between food. I highly recommend this place if you are a resident and even a tourist and want a good experience in korean bbq. I'm not the kind of person to ever leave reviews for a restaurant, and I'm not trying to be dramatic when I say I don't know where to start with how amazing Hwaro is. To the appetizers, the premium choices of meats, and even the sushi. They have cool sides that you don't find at many KBBQ places like garlic butter, ginger, and corn cheese. The shrimp tempura was the best I've ever had and they also have filet mignon which was just incredible. I can't say enough good things about this place. This place is great! They have awesome appetizers and sesame salad and a little bit of sushi. Most awesome thing is the lunch price is 27$ and you get bbq, a hot pot, and sushi. That's a steal for me! I feel like the tables/booths is very small. There's not very many tables and it gets kind of loud. The food come out fast and the meat is fairly good. I think the pork belly wasn't that great bit the beef belly was awesome. They have ssamjang but they don't have steamed egg! That was my only disappointment. All their banchans are flavorful and pretty addicting. They now have a variety of raw seafood options on their premium menu which was $35 on 4/3/26. Sushi was good, not the best but hits the sushi craving while at a Korean bbq restaurant. Sushi is not the specialty so its quality was good enough. The meats are delicious and they have a great variety. The emperor's kalbi/brisket/beef belly/spicy squid/beef tongue are all delicious and on the regular menu. The premium menu has great options such as ribeye, filet mignon, skirt steak, and premium pork options. I say spend the little extra money to go premium to try a variety of everything. Still one of our go-to KBBQ spots after all these years. I have a good list of some of my favs, and hwaro and hwaro 2 are still on the list. Although the location can be tough to park in because of the many amazing restaurants in the area, we still like to come here for some good KBBQ. My husband and I, as well as my friends and I have come here often to have some good kbbq when we're craving or in the mood. They have a variety of options for meat and seafood, as well as banchan and other appetizers and side dishes. Their menu consists of different specialty meats which you can order at a higher AYCE price point, but I think is well worth it. The service is friendly and quite fast, noticing and offering grill changes when necessary, and constantly walking around to take your order. I usually don't change restaurants often, but today I decided to give Hwaro another chance after not coming here for a very long time. Unfortunately, this experience really ruined what had been a great day for me. it ended with a very disappointing dinner. From the moment I walked in, things felt off. A staff member led me to my table without greeting me at all, simply dropped the menu, and walked away without asking anything or offering any recommendations. When the food arrived, the taste was okay. nothing special, but edible. What truly made the experience uncomfortable was the atmosphere. It felt like everyone working there was irritated or upset. Dishes were being thrown around loudly, and it was very unpleasant. In particular, the female server assigned to our table looked extremely frustrated. She cleared our dishes aggressively and even threw plates right in front of me. She also kept walking around holding her phone. Maybe she was having a bad day, but it really affected the dining experience. However, I do want to give credit to one of her coworkers. She was smiling all night and treated us kindly. If it weren't for him, this night would have felt even worse. Overall, I'm really disappointed. I regret choosing this place instead of going to my favorite restaurant tonight. The atmosphere and service were very poor, and I don't think I will be coming back. I hope the management takes this seriously and improves both service and attitude in the future. read more

Korean BBQ and sushi are at this spot in Chinatown Las Vegas named Hwaro. This was my first time here and this was the first meal we had when I got into Vegas. We picked this place because the restaurant was open until 2:00 am. When we walked in at 12 we were seated right away and the place still had people inside enjoying a meal. The service was super quick and fast. This is an AYCE spot so you can order as much as you guys want but in a time frame of 90 mins. We tried their sushi items as well and considered them to be quite decent for an AYCE spot. The only thing I would say is some of the beef items that were seasoned with some type of sauce tasted a little bit off on flavor. Wait staff was nice and helpful. 5 of 5 stars Food/Offering: Arrived early dinner and was offered only one dining option: $33.95. We settled for the usual like the Wheel of Fortune bonus round (RSTLN E) which was bulgogi, pork belly, brisket, short rib. There were some limit 1 per person options on the menu which we ordered from as well. Usual sides you see at a KBBQ place like rice paper, kim chi, seaweed salad, etc are not offered. The food turnover during the reorder was very fast. Water refill was on point. Yuzu sorbet was tart and helped offset the grill taste in my mouth. 5 of 5 stars Overall: The place is bigger than most bbq spots that I've been to and ventilation (which matters to me) was very good; didn't smell too much like bbq upon leaving. Only gripe I have is that I'm not a fan of the 18% automatic tip for my party of just 4. For this visit, I'm ok with the 18% (probably worth 20%) but for me as a consumer, I would like to have more control of the bill. Really enjoyed her services as we didn't feel rushed or a bother (which sometimes some KBBQ places make us feel that way). The restaurant was very nice, clean & modern. We got sat and cooked for 10 mins but noticed the grill wasn't working. They told us "sorry, this table hasn't been working". So you sat us there? So we Waited additional 15 minutes at my table and no one checked up. At 20 minutes I asked to be moved to another table but waited additional 6 minutes to ask to turn on the grill.
