She gave us the best service we've ever had here. Even though the restaurant was very busy, she never missed a beat. I love Hwaro! We went on a Tuesday afternoon and were surprised by how slow it was since they're usually packed. If you know Hwaro, you know it's almost always busy, so it was nice to enjoy a more relaxed experience. The food was just as good as ever. Their signature Hwaro sauce is so good that I always joke I could drink it! LOL I also love the side dishes, especially the cucumber kimchi and edamame. Called a week in advance to see if I could make a reservation for 11 people on a Saturday at 4 PM. They don't take reservations, but they were very helpful and let me know to call the same day to be added to the waitlist, then call again about an hour before to confirm our full party would be showing up. The inside does feel pretty crowded at first, but once you get toward the back of the restaurant it opens up more and feels much more spacious. They have larger tables for groups as well as smaller tables for parties of four. Customer service was great and the food started coming out almost immediately after we ordered. Ordering was a little overwhelming in the beginning just because there are so many options and we ended up trying almost everything on the menu. Our group isn't big on pork, so we mostly stuck with the beef selections. The tomahawk was definitely the favorite of the night....everyone at the table really enjoyed it. Dragon Factory owns so many spots in town that they have become the barometer for sushi and KBBQ, and this one still hits for both consistency and quality. Forget the hushed, label-driven rooms chasing A5 Wagyu bragging rights. Hwaro 2 is loud, smoky, and alive with the sound of meat hitting hot grills. You smell fat caramelizing, hear pork belly pop and hiss, and the table crowds with dishes until there is hardly room left for your soju. This is the heartbeat of KBBQ, not the showroom. Once the brisket round is done, the premium steak and tomahawk are the move. Pork belly brings richness, short ribs hit that sweet-salty note, and the bulgogi is the guilty sticky-sweet pleasure that sneaks in no matter how focused you are on the "serious" cuts. Seafood holds up, sides stay sharp, and the pro move is specifying to your server that you only want one or two orders of the larger cuts at a time so they hit the grill fresh and nothing goes to waste. The crew hustles, but management does not staff enough people on the floor. Servers and bussers do everything they can, so tip them well. I used to refer this restaurant to friends. However, the food quality has really gone down. The Rib Eye Steak used to be top quality, but is now quite bad. Even the Kal Bi quality has gone down. Its really sad as this restaurant used to be very good read more

She checked up on us a few times, but consistently forgot some of our items. Unfortunately, the service is not something I'd return for. The food, on the other hand was really good. Great cuts and very extensive menu! The premium steak is a must try - it pairs really well with the garlic butter. Hwaro 2 captures the same late night friendly vibes that the OG Hwaro has. Service is pretty great - Xavier took care of us and he was super attentive and prompt whenever it came to grill changes. Walking in, you may have to wait for a bit, however another great thing about Hwaro 2 is that you're able to place yourself on the wait-list through the app! As for the only critical thing I have to say and the only reason Hwaro 2 doesn't get a full 5 stars -- the first grill on our table was not the cleanest as brown bubbles (yes, brown bubbles) started forming inside the grill holes when they turned on the burner, however after replacement everything else was great.
