Only Hybar could obtain doors that met our HOA requirements--paintable door frames, whereby we could paint the doors to match the house trim color. Their pricing was very competitive. I was verbally assaulted via email when I requested, they correct mistakes they had made. 31 July 2023 - Hybar installed a 16-foot-wide door at a cost of $15,600 but forgot to bring the screen. 3 Aug 2023 - The screen was installed, I noticed it had been scratched right on the facing side and painted over. (See the pics). In addition, the screen did not latch properly so the installer just left the pieces taped to the screen door stating he did not know how to make it work? (See pic.) 21 Aug 2023 - I was informed by Holley, the on-site supervisor "We will get it all taken care of today" The installer took the screen door and returned only to discover his measurements were off and now the handles did not align properly. (See Pics) 8 Sep 2023 - I was notified the new screens were in, so I requested compensation for the missed time from work each time they had to return to my home. I was offered a $150 reduction off of the $15,600 door. Just a few minutes later I received an email from Holley the onsite supervisor stating, "Don't give them too much of a discount. He's a jerk! She quickly tried to recall the message, but it was too late. The entire Hybar management team was addressed on the email, but Holley forgot to delete me, so I got to see how she and the company really feels about customers who try to get them to provide a quality product without material defects. In addition, they servicedu my sliding door by putting new rollers on and tuning the rest of the door, they invested a lot of work into this project and were just as friendly and accommodating as possible. First of all I live in a condo community and had to go thru the board approval process. As I started calling around for estimates several companies flat out refused because of this issue. I finally did get a company to come out (I will not name them). The estimate for 4 windows and a sliding glass door was 44,000$. What?!?! I was shocked. I finally received a referral from a contractor doing work here on property. I called HyBar and the rest was a breeze. They were awesome from the very first phone call, thru the HOA approval process, to the install. Great product, great customer service, great staff from the office personnel, sales rep and installers. Everyone was so nice and so polite. I was pleased that they were able to come out the day after I called. I was also pleased with the new door sweep that they installed. The installers were professional and efficient. Even the lady that I made the arrangements with was very patient and accommodating. My gripe was that the ad cited $119 for the job, but she kept quoting $120 even after I pointed out the discrepancy. I didn't really mind paying the extra dollar, but it's not what was quoted in the ad. Bait and switch? One more thing. I recently used Hy Bar Windows and Doors again on March 15, 2024. I requested that Tywon and Mike, technicians come back again to put a door sweep on French doors. Two very professional and capable young men. Again they did a great job; they worked until it was perfect and door works better than it did new. I would highly recommend Hy-Bar for any repair you might need. About a year ago Hy Bar repaired a multi locking french door to perfection. Other companies said that it could not be repaired; but Hy Bar said it could and they did repair the door. Other companies tried to sell me new french doors for 20 thousand dollars and said I'd have to throw out the doors and get new ones. If I could give this company zero stars I would. they are the worst contractor that I have ever had the misfortune to hire. They left my house filthy and damaged and clearly had no concern at all for trying to minimally damage, debris and dirt in the house. They left my yard filled with trash and almost every plant damaged or destroyed. They gouged up the entire face of a brand new dresser and then acted as if I was totally unreasonable for asking that it be replaced. They did not insulate around the windows and now my new 30 thousand dollar windows are more drafty that my old windows. they didn't even bother to remove the packing tape from the new windows, just left them filthy and covered in tape. I don't know yet how good this company is. I bought my doors and windows in Aug 2021, they didn't come in until Feb 2021. I have a background in construction. If something didn't look right to me the installers gave me good reason why it was alright. Doors didn't open easily. Instalation was sloppy with unnecessary drywall removed with unnecessary added work to my drywaller. There was also disregard for my personal property buy the installers. I had my sells rep come out to check the installers work. He agreed that some of the Instalation was incorrect. I do understand that covid is making it difficult to keep workers and get product. I'm still waiting to see what the completed project will look like and how much responsibility the company will take regarding their employees disregard to my property. I will say the installers were nice. I will be willing to update my review to a 4 if the end job is done right and the company takes some responsibility for the damages they caused to my property. Feeling Ripped off I needed an emergency door boarding-up and door replacement. I understand businesses have many customers and commitments, but it took 3 days to send someone to get there and although I asked for a means for the wood to be opened, it was just screwed in place and cost a hefty amount. If zero stars were an option, that's exactly what I would give. We ordered 4 Andersen E-Series double French doors for access to our patio in 2017. Installation day came. Installers came and they were caught by our remodel contractor trying to cut corners on the installation process. Conversation between workers and contractor became somewhat heated. Installers corrected the process under the watchful eye of our contractor. Guess the contractor did not monitor the install on last door as closely as the previous 3 doors. Fast forward to 2024. After a particularly heavy rain, we noticed one of the windows leaked. Called warranty division of Andersen doors. It was determined that the problem was an installation issue. There is a sizable gap between stucco and door frame. So now I get to pay someone out to correct shotty work done by Hy-Bar. I called Hy-Bar trying to get an Aw number requested by the warranty department. Was told Hy-Bar office personnel was searching for the file. It's been 4 days and no word from Hy-Bar. I have called 3 times asking for information. I most adamantly do not recommend this company. They are great when you are there to purchase. They basically wash their hands after the transaction is complete. When you see commercials for Andersen Windows saying they don't play the blame game between their products and installers, don't believe it. I now have to pay for corrective work. read more

Salesman, installation team and lock tech, excellent. Extremely poor management and organization. Attended a home show here in Las Vegas. Met two windows and doors people and invited them to our home for a plan and estimate. Mike from Hy-bar Windows and Doors gave us the option we wanted in a three-paneled french doors. We selected the hardware (2 nickel handles and plates) and were told it would be 6-8 weeks for installation. We paid the fifty percent deposit. After 9 weeks I called to talk to Mike, but told he left the company. (In hindsight, I don't blame him!) I asked about the order, and the owner Russ didn't know anything about it. He said maybe the order was dropped. I said, "Our deposit was "dropped" right into your bank account!" I advised the owner that we were having Sunburst Shutters put 4 1/2 inch shutters on the doors and would need to have door handle extensions to accommodate the shutters, delivered at the same time as the doors. Russ Barlow called when he located the order, and I was hoping we wouldn't have to wait another long stretch. He advised he would push it through. Almost 3 months to the day the order was placed, did the doors arrive - minus one extension! LIVID! Subsequently could not lock doors from the inside and could, only if the key was left-in on the outside??? Locksmith came late, worked an hour into the time the salesman for Sunburst came. Sunburst left and went on another call and returned later for the measurements. The locksmith happened to have the same extension on his truck and installed it. COOL! He attempted to collect for the extensions. I said I was not paying and to take it up with the owner or have the owner call me. I never heard anything more. 4 months later someone from the office called to say the extensions were in. WHAT??? You mean to say they expected us to wait for this small piece for 4 months and that was cool with them? Shoddy business at best, but the young man calling had no idea what transpired months before! Sad though, because Hybar had the windows I wanted. In the end, we went with another company to replace 21 windows. Though we love the french doors, we will not, could not, ever recommend Hy-bar Windows and Doors to our worst enemies, if we had any! read more

I needed a small fix to the passive dual front door to get it to open as it was jammed. I wasn't able to open it anymore making it difficult to move large things in and out. After a web search I decided to try Hy-Bar because they listed ability to handle residential needs whereas most companies only handled commercial spaces and industrial garage doors. They scheduled a technician to come out, but his truck broke down. They were quick to contact me and assure another tech team would make it out that day as long as I had the time. They were able to quickly diagnose problem, fix quickly (within 15 minutes) without any need to order parts and prolong situation. Truly helps to have door operative again. read more

Marlon Lopez was the technician who fixed my 8" patio slider door. The wheels likely had turned square and it took about 75 pounds of pressure to close. He replaced the wheels and fixed the track as good as possible and the door now slides like it's almost new. I'm very please with their work and it was worth the $219. read more

I had hyBar replace 11 windows in my home last May 2019. The windows they installed are junk. They were given a Pella Performance spec at bid time. Several windows are installed on the south side of my house. The inside temperature of the inside of my windows on 9/24/2020- 11:20am- 102.3*, 12:30pm- 106.7*, 2pm- 107.9*. I had filed a complaint with the Contractors License Board but they sided with the contractor, hyBar, because I could not prove the glass installed was not what I asked for. I have asked hyBar for the manufacturer of the glass and I would crate it up, send it to the manufacture for testing. I would pay all costs. hyBar has refused to tell me who made the glass and would not replace the defective glass under warranty. I have $2500 worth of junk glass installed in my home I have to eat. We recently needed to replace a window because of condensation, as well as a few other window issues. We went with HyBar and glad we did. Their service rep Marlon was excellent. I was impressed because he did not try to talk me into fixing anything that was unnecessary. The delivery and installation was also excellent.
